This Walmart had everything that I needed to replenish my truck in stock. I went shopping pretty late so not too much employees around when I needed something on the top shelf. The only negative for me was that several merchandise needed to be push forward so I could've reached them. I had to grab a cheap baby stroller to reach the items in the back a few times. I did purchase some work boots that were on sale so that was a steal. The store was well maintained and had plenty open registers for checkout. What a dreadful store. Everything here is aggravating from the parking lot, the size of the store, and how it's hard to find what you're after, to the ridiculous zombie-like customers. This evening four women staff were observing the self-checkout customers and they were all yammering at one another in a language not English. We don't care what language anyone speaks but not during work hours. These women appeared far more concerned with their conversation than what any of us was doing at the scanners. How about instead of installing all the self scanners and security cameras, and paying people to "monitor," just have staff to check people out. What a miserable place to go. read more

The few times I go there, even if I check online first to see if they have something, it's not in stock when I get there. Their very WORST customer service is the absolutely USELESS phone in. Ninety-nine percent of the time no one ever answers the phone- no matter how often I call back- because they are ALWAYS "experiencing higher than normal call volumes and to call back later". Stopping in here was a big mistake so close to the holidays. I only needed a few items that I had attempted to get at other places but could not find of course. Thought that I could do it all by carrying it, but unfortunately I needed a cart. The aisles were full and the customers aplenty. It was irritating because everything was so picked over and I couldn't help but feel like people were purposefully in the way. Every single time I wanted to look at an item I swear someone would enter my personal space and hover in front of the item I was trying to look at. It's always odd when you come to a Walmart thinking that you are going to be saving money, that is until you get to the register and finally see the damage you did to yourself. Not really saving money or time when you stop at one. Depending on when you go it can take over 10-15min sometimes just to get through a checkout line or even self checkouts. Going in the earliest hours means usually having to work around pallets & carts from employees still stocking stuff out, which tends to block up aisles. And there's been way too many times I've seen open/empty drinks in bottles or cans just sitting about on shelves; whether they're from employees or customers I dont know, but it gives the store a disgusting vibe. Overall the store has an atmosphere of "get in & get out" from staff & appearances alike, & while that's what most customers probably want to do, it would make more sense for a business to have a "welcoming" vibe to that rather than a "we want you in & out asap" sort of vibe. read more

I cannot believe how this store has deteriorated right before our eyes! No one is smiling and everyone seems grumpy. Our last visit there was on a Saturday evening and there was NOT ONE CART to get inside. NOT ONE! Thank God we didn't need a lot. Then when checking out about 7 pm...4 registers open and the line for USCAN was backed up to the deli! I went to Walmart (Mechanicsburg) this morning at 6:30 am to return one item priced below $10.00. The customer return counter was closed. An employee standing nearby that was having a conversation with a friend told me it would not open until 10:00 am. I asked to speak with a manager and she (Robbin) explained that she was the manager. I asked if she would be able to process the return. Robbin huffed - ended her conversation and appeared put out by my request. No eye contact, but plenty of attitude. The transaction took less than three minutes. Clearly, she was more than capable of assisting me. The store was not busy. Because of Robbin's negative attitude and lack of customer service, she gives this Walmart location a poor reputation. I am very disappointed in my experience this morning. Perhaps Robbin should find employment elsewhere that does not involve assisting customers. read more

Walmart is usually busy which is good. However, some of items I bought will not last long (example less than six months). Items such as over the counter drugs will make you think twice before buying it because some will not work. The best advice is going to see a doctor. Some of stuff on the shelves were gone before I got there which means shortage of some items. The place is usually organized, not particular very clean for say. The service is average, but cashier seems to be friendly. read more

This review is just about their customer service on a busy Christmas Eve when the store was jam packed. It took such a long time to find a parking spot. Had gone there to return couple of items and there was this long line of people in front of me. They had opened up 3 counters for return which is unlike so many stores where mostly I find just a single person behind the counter or at the most two. The line cleared up in just 5-7 minutes. Allison, the customer service representative was greeting everyone with smiles and was so friendly and cheerful. Three stars just for service! read more

I have been shopping at this location (Walmart, Mechanicsburg) for nearly 20 years and recently experienced the most unsettling shopping event of my life. After picking up a prescription antibiotic for my husband I was heading towards the parking lot. As I approached the doors a Walmart greeter rushed in front of me and spread her arms and made herself threatening and was shouting at me that she needed to see my receipt. She kept saying the same thing over and over and I was flustered looking through my plastic bag. She kept moving side to side. She was using her long blue skirt to block me. She was so threatening that I believed I would be detained. She saw the pharmacy package in my Walmart bag and she just walked away. I have never been treated so horribly. I have called the store several times to try to speak with a manager, but could never get a live person. I tried to fill out an on-line complaint form, but the site froze and I gave up. Walmart is training their associates to be aggressive and to treat their customers like criminals. Our family is done supporting this toxic corporation. read more

Walmart workers are mostly excellent. In store they're helpful and friendly. But delivery by Walmart delivery rates a 1 - terrible! I ordered 6 bottles of a certain type of pills. They sent me 1 bottle and substituted other items, some weren't even the same type of pills, and only 1/3 the quantity total! When I returned the unwanted items (Dec 2020) the store employee told me that a few months earlier Walmart HQ management said to substitute other items if the ordered items weren't in stock because Walmart profits were down due to items out of stock. That left it to the customer to drive back to the store with unwanted cups that were substituted for ordered plates, or unwanted food or clothes. I got my money back, and wanted to warn others regarding my predicament. We're trying to stay safe (during COVID peak death rates) by having things delivered, then they knowingly send us the wrong things because Walmart executives want to increase their bottom line. read more

My boyfriend picked them up yesterdayand still nothing was said about not having envelopes. I went to the camp hill Walmart today to get envelopes, they were completely out. Tell me why in the hell would I order 40 Christmas cards and not mail them out? Now I am stuck with 40 Christmas cards that I paid $53 for to sit in the bag and never get used. I may as well have just flushed the money down the toilet. Never again will Walmart get one more penny from me. This is the final straw. I am so upset that you screwed me over again. It's Walmart and they have pick up so that makes it great for me. When this store is busy it is swamped, but what do you expect. The pick up staff is so great. I generally go in the early am and the associates are fine and generally nice. I know everyone has commented on the service but that's not the case IMO. The only reason this gets 2 instead of one star is because the people were very very nice and this happened a few weeks ago as I am new to yelp. I walked in to the bathroom and a man was making horrible noises like he was in serious peril. I asked him if he was ok and he told me he was trying to get high and for me to F***** off. I left and returned about ten mins later and he was thankfully gone. Problem was , there was human DOO DOO all over the walls and the toilet and he had left his shoe prints in the human feces so I imagine that he tracked it through the store. Either they don't have an automatic inventory update program or their staff don't know how to use it, so using the website to check availability is a waste of time. 2. This store used to be great and a pleasure to shop at. Now it is dirty and disorganized and the clothing department has a poor selection compared to other area stores. It was so dirty on a recent visit that there were eaten chicken wings remnants in the inside area with the shopping carts, there were carts and boxes all over the store and the floors were unclean and has an overall bad smell. The parking lot was dirty and carts were in the driving isles. I won't be back to this store anytime soon nor recommend it to anyone else. Completely HIT OR MISS on customer services. On floor person in automotive couldn't help me locate a product on shelf as it was advertised online as available now for store pickup at this location. He did direct me to where to try to look and then upon my further complaining directing me to site to store pickup. Where, upon arrival, I waited behind the counter where the lady was obviously flirting with someone...their conversation was completely casual and non product or Walmart related. I waited patiently for 5-10 minutes and made eye contact and she didn't bat an eyelash. I returned to the sales rep who sent me there and fumed and he walked me back over. By then a new person had returned from break along with the lady rep and she was still talking to the her flirtation...who turns out, then leaves and walks into the stockroom (he was an employee!). She came up with an excuse of only 1 register working/open so she couldn't help me b/c the guy who returned from break was helping someone else. I FLEW off the handle and called her out (as the guy wasn't around when she was flirting/talking non-sense) and asked if maybe her supervisor might want to talk with me b/c he/she could clearly watch the security taped footage of what she was or wasn't doing. PISSED ME OFF. She shut up at least and I agreed to order on my phone the online site to store pickup after she indicated it was only way and should be available soon. Well, after me doing that I get an email from Walmart saying allow 4 hours or so and wait for a response saying available. The excuse they gave me a site to store is they have to have the UPS code to look up in their system and find exactly aisle and shelf location (which isn't provided online or generated when I place the order -- only gets done via online internal system). Walmart pisses me off regularly but this one is in what I would call an upscale area of Central PA. They weren't busy and had tons of available employees...of course no managers were visible. I will continue to avoid Walmart as much as possible and definitely never return to this location. read more

Vision Center - Bad experience. Needed new glasses. Was quoted $400 plus tax... at Walmart mind you. I was absolutely shocked and am still shocked! Remember Walmart...Everyday Low Prices? Not anymore. Not here. So I didn't buy the glasses and left. I drove a few miles to Carlisle Walmart, checked their prices and bought very similar glasses for $207 including tax. Why the difference in prices? They're both Walmart? AT LEAST YOU THINK THEY ARE BOTH WALMART. In Mechanicsburg the Vision center is leased to a contractor, but in Carlisle Walmart actually operates the Vision Center. I don't blame the Mechanicsburg Vision Center - every business needs to charge what they need to charge. BUT I DO BLAME WALMART for misleadingly lending their... Everyday Low Prices ... name to a Vision Center which is expensive. read more
