This used to be the best walmart in the greater Macon area. They're gone downhill and with this one, the question is why even go in the door? I've been in the garden center and followed around like I was going to steal something. I am not. I can understand if it's around something small and pricey but those BBQ grills in the big boxes aren't walking out the door with me. They all seem to want to change the layout for some reason. Paint was here, now it's over there or whatever. No, I am not walking my legs off to find an overpriced can of spray paint that half the time is bad. This one is annoying because of the side road with lowes. No one has ever heard of traffic management. You go in because they carry one product you like. Then you come back for it but they don't have it now. This happened with a couple of walmarts went to. Stopped in to grab a few puzzles and ended up leaving with 3 plus a large bottle of Mod Podge. I guess you could say: Mission Accomplished. They had a lot of scenic puzzle options, but I was able to find some really unique ones that'll definitely require time and patience (exactly what we wanted). I used the Walmart app to locate them and still got a little lost, but eventually found my way. Pro tip: if you're looking for cards, board games, or puzzles, head to the far left wall. Lazy rude staff and a pitiful store manager (named Archie) who stays MIA (MISSING IN ACTION). Apparently 'do-nothing' Archie has delegated the majority of his duties to lower staff that does not follow through. This is why the store is ran so inefficiently with problems going unaddressed. if you ask for the market team manager's contact information the staff screams "no"! A female associate from this store slammed the phone down as i was speaking and everytime i called back she would pick up and immediately hang up. she then started to pick the phone and set it down. She was angered because i requested to speak with a store manager. very rude. it took me over a month to finally reach the store manager.when i spoke with him he acted as if he could have cared less about his employee slamming the phone down repeatedly. He, along with the coach he was standing beside - looked at me in a very hostile comdescending manner. When i walked away Archie, or the female 'coach' he was standing beside appeared to mutter obscenities about me and they both started laughing. Unbelievable a store manager would act so ignorantly. I'm so impressed with these cinnamon rolls from the bakery section of Walmart. Warmed up in the microwave for a few seconds, and they are good. They just need some raisins. I miss those cinnamon rolls in the aluminum pan with the Sunbeam girl on them. They always stop making the good stuff like coconut rounds by Little Debbie. read more

It doesn't get any worse than this. Customer service is always closed early because who knows. The store never has anything in stock. The staff is rude and unprofessional and this even includes management. They should close this location or change out the staffing. It's an embarrassment for Walmart. I used to live in Woodstock Georgia there was one less than a couple of miles from my home pristine professional and always items in stock. My online order was canceled twice, with only a generic explanation as to why, so I tried calling the store...multiple times. No one answered the phone in the "online orders" department, so I tried the store operator. Still no answer. I let it ring for a good 3-4 minutes each time I called. The website said this store had the items I wanted in stock, and I could pick them up after 7:00 today. I understand things happen, and maybe I couldn't pick them up today, but when I tried to reorder and see when the earliest pick-up would be, it immediately canceled my order again with no explanation. I've honestly never been too fond of shopping at Walmart. There are never enough cashiers and always a ton of people there! Of the three locations in the area Zebulon Road is my favorite. Walmart is slowly winning me over though with their grocery pick up service! I absolutely love it! It's super easy and convenient. The associates I've had the pleasure to meet have all been very courteous and friendly. I've never had any issues with my orders, and if I had to have a substitution it's always been something I'm okay with. Today ( Easter Sunday) I was taken care of by a fella named Tay. He just as the others have been was great and I actually found an Easter egg in with my produce which I thought was a nice touch! He also gave me a bag of candy. Super sweet! read more

For a Walmart in Macon GA, this is probably as good as it gets. I've been going here my whole life, and it's got a lot better lately. The other Walmart in Macon is so sketchy, dangerous, and unorganized I would prefer this one!! The Subway in the store is nice! They have a large selection of pretty much anything you'll need like groceries, clothes, toys, seasonal, and lots more. You can't expect a Walmart to have amazing workers, but for a Walmart the workers here are pretty nice. I'm glad this Walmart has changed because it used to be nasty with eaten wings on the aisles. There are 3 Walmart SuperCenters in Macon . I will drive out of my way to come shop at this location on Zebulon Rd. The other two are sketchy. Walmart always has the best price on everything . The Walmart store on Zebulon use to be well kept. Now it has turned trashy. The shelves are messy, items mixed together, employees walking around on their cell phones, stocking racks blocking the isles, just a real sad situation. Worst employees, nasty store, you order from pickup app and when you get there and call the number to let them know you have arrived the number is busy always busy. I have a flip phone no data so that's the only way I can let them know. By the time someone answers the phone and slowly gets the order you could have gone in and gotten the things faster. A pickup boy employee insulting me for not having a smart phone while I asked him twice to just give me my order so I can leave. We came 20 minutes before they was supposed to close for one thing and we got out our car and they told us we wasn't allowed in cause they was closed @10:40pm. Then they let 3 black dudes in. I was heated at this point so we drove up to the door and asked why they could go in and we wasn't allowed. So they answered by saying oh you can go in now. So my fiancé went in. Then @10:49 a guy pulled up and he got out his truck and they told him he couldn't come in cause there was to many people checking out (which at night time we all know they have opened 2 registers at that's it) he needed something for his buddy to go to work the next day but they refused. We went in and got our daughter something. So as I was sitting in my car I had my window down and could hear them talk. And they was talking crap about us having our kid stay at home so we could get her some medicine. They wanted to say if I was them I would at least leave my baby with my momma.
