Not too fond of this Belk. Customer service has always been iffy. More detail on that...sometimes people are as friendly and helpful as can be then some days, dismissive or you can barely find anyone. I could just say that's a part of customer service and as I always say, different people, different days, different attitudes. This day in particular, I could not find any open register to check out. Frustrating. I was interesting buying new towels. There were no prices. We saw a lady folding towels and doing other other little things and asked for the prices, and said "I don't know"..."I'll have to take it to the register" and my issue was the tone and dismissiveness of it. My parents and I just walked away. While walking away, I noticed other individuals unpacking boxes and pricing. This is an assumption of mine, but if you are working on setting up new items, shipments or whatever the case may be, maybe start with that so we can empathize with "you" and understand this inconvenience instead of making it feel as though we are bothering you. Ya know, "I apologize but we don't currently have prices for any items and actually in process of doing that now...etc.". Regardless, as I stated we left. If I have to make a M.A.C. run, I would come back because those girls are always full of life.

Customer service is HORRIBLE. Rhoda was literally rude and snappy to every single person in line.

While I've never been a huge fan of Dillard's overall, this Macon location does a solid job for the area. My main gripe with Dillard's has always been their sales, or lack thereof. When they do offer a decent sale, the infamous 3-day return policy on sale items is a deal-breaker for me. Living close to an hour away means that if I change my mind, I'm usually stuck with something I'll probably never wear. And as someone who is absolutely a sucker for a sale, that part hurts a little. That said, when I need something urgently and don't have time to order online, Dillard's often comes through in the clutch. The selection here is fairly well-rounded, with options ranging from bedding and handbags to clothing and fragrances. It's not overwhelming, but it's definitely adequate and thoughtfully curated for the market. One thing this location does very well is customer service. The associates are consistently friendly, and because the store is usually not very busy, they're genuinely helpful and willing to go out of their way to assist. The store itself is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. I can typically find exactly what I'm looking for without wandering aimlessly. Overall, while it's not my go to for deals, this is a decent Dillard's location and a reliable option for the area when you need department-store shopping without the chaos.

Can't even go to the bathroom without someone trying to get you to sign up for some rewards…read morewhatever crap Walk in the entrance get it twice then walk around the store get it randomly shopping then gotta go to the bathroom and get it there too I mean can't yall ask that at check out or something like everywhere else instead of making me feel like I just walked into a store full of unskipable ads? Don't get me wrong after the first few times coming here I learned just to say no thanks before they even say anything there only job is trying to stop you from minding you're own business but if you're socially akward or don't know how to say no then welcome to the place your never gunna come back too cause it's about to be terrible

So we get into the store and there's a big employee get together in the front of the store to just…read morelollygag and look at the weather, leaving the rest of the store empty. First of all, the store only had one "archery guy," and he left two hours before the store closed. Then again, I guess he can leave whenever he wants. What are they going to do, fire their only "archery guy"? Guy has to be pulling six figures with that kind of job security. Needless to say, after searching the store and finally finding someone to help, no one there even knew the price of loose arrows, much less were able to cut any. Fine... I'll get them online. But wait, there's more! If you thought getting your hands on a fishing or hunting license would be a piece of cake, think again. We approached the lady at the service desk, the one that didn't so much as wave at us as we walked in and asked for a fishing license. Now, I'm not sure if what she said was true or if she just didn't feel like making it, but, surprise, surprise, the printer was as broken as my dreams of getting any customer service in the place! The crazy part is that hunting season starts just next month. I wonder how much this place is missing out on?? All in all, if you're seeking an adventure in customer service wilderness, head over to Bass Pro Shop. Who knows, maybe you'll get to see the legendary "archery guy" who comes and goes like a fleeting breeze, and if you're lucky, you might even get a glimpse of the broken license printer operated by a surly woman that just didn't seem to want to be there. Just be prepared to take matters into your own hands because, in this shop, you're the captain of your own retail ship. Good luck, brave shoppers! You'll need it.
