This is the worst customer service focused Wal-Mart. The registers debit/CC pay machines are always broken, when they do you have to jam the card and hold it. Spoken to some of the service agents and they say the manager already expressed how he doesn't care. This store needs restructure from the top down. read more

Worst experience of my life. Had an accident in the restroom. Im milk intolerant and decided to eat ice cream. Big mistake. Went right through me. It was a very embarrassing moment, but it was worse to know thatno one could help me. Not one store employee. God bless them. I pray they never experience what i did.Got diarrhea and they couldn't help me to get clothes so I could leave the store. Their customer service sucks. Wouldn't even allow an employee to help me. I told them I couldn't walk out the store without clothes, so they said I could stay in the restroom for as long as I wanted. Sorry people. I hope they never experience this. Today, 5/5/2023, I purchased at 11415 Quaker Avenue, 24 items ($137.88) which included two different Astepro allergy nose spray, 60 sprays & 120 sprays. I gave the lady at #16 register two coupons for the two nose sprays, $4.00 and $8.00 for respective sprays. She said she would enter these after checking all items. It didn't happen. When I checked my receipt when I got home, I saw she did not apply the coupons. In less than 30 minutes I returned to the store, but the lady had left the store. I talked to about three employees for help. They looked for the coupons but could not find them, but they had on camera seeing she placed them in a trash can wrinkled up. Not sure why they did not contact the lady checker for help. So, my drive of three miles back to the store and return home in heavy traffic did not accomplish anything. Walmart just lost two customers as we will never return to a Walmart store, and we normally would spend $100 to nearly $200 each time we purchased items. We are senior citizens who have for many years purchased our groceries and health care products at Walmart. We now cannot trust Walmart. Walmart has definitely gone down the toilet in the past few years. They treat customers poorly and people having to occasionally check themselves out is terrible and has not saved consumers any money. I have friends saying they will not go back to Walmart. I can see why. Walmart "SUCKS." read more

Everything about this location gave me the creeps. I was parked out front making a short list before I went inside and there were some older guys just sitting in the parking lot. Unsettling to say the least, and there was a street sweeper that was "cleaning" the parking for at least 15 minutes straight. Making sure to loop by my vehicle which was the only one with a person inside. He kept staring at me every time he drove by, I'm all set I don't need anything that badly. Within the past 6 months I've bought at least 3 products with a bad expiration date. And not just chips or something like that... it's like meat and dairy products. Last week (august), I bought a tub of greek yogurt and I got extremely sick. I look at the expiration date and it expired MAY 2021!!! WTF?? I know you can eat yogurt a little past expiration dates but that is 3 MONTHS past the date.. why would they put it on the shelves??? Waste of money on yogurt AND waste of money going to the doctor. I mainly use the Tire and Auto service, and the Sporting Goods Counter. Compared to the Wal-Mart on Quaker/Loop 289, this one is nearly always understaffed both in the Tire Center and the Sporting Goods desk. It's usually so difficult to find someone at the Sporting Goods desk that I don't even bother. The people at the Tire Center work hard and have a great attitude, but it seems like they almost never have enough help to get the work done in a timely fashion. read more

This Walmart sucks. Do not recommend especially early access for Black Friday. We checked at the pickup for a tv we purchased at 7:20, we were waiting for an hour. So eventually we called and asked when it'd be ready. They informed us they close pick up Black Friday at 8pm. We explain we checked in before and waited. They told us they were closed and couldn't do anything. If they were going to "close" an hour early they should've notified us in app. Lazy. Never again. read more

I live in a small town about 6 hrs away and was just in town visiting family , I was staying at one of the hotels close to this Walmart location and this has to be the most dirtiest Walmart I've ever had to walk in too. It does not seem like they take care of the bathroom at all it's disgusting !!! Very old and cheap self-checkout system took more then 15 minutes. The lady at the self- checkout knew nothing about the system. She was just acting to fix it but did nothing. Finally took me to another system it was also the same as another. Finally, 10 minutes more, it was done. I asked the lady what was wrong with the system, she told "I don't know what was wrong. Walmart needs to upgrade this but they don't. They don't really care about their customers." Basically she was just trying to blame Walmart not to herself. Has no experience at all. May be with this manager and associates pay attention to that and try to develop the employees to not blame others and take the responsibility. And may be they fix the self-checkout system asap. read more

This store manager does not make decisions that are logical. If you send money through Walmart reconsider and choose a different financial institution to send money. Walmart does not make logical decisions at this location folks do not use this store. Your money NOT WALMARTS will be tied up and you will have to go through inconveniences to get your money! Regina you can do better than that. Customers with the correct transaction number but your Walmart partner misspelled a name one letter and you would not release the money is absurd! i couldn't find the correct wal mart on the map but I'm thinking they may use one security company and it is Alliance.... the Security guard i am talking about has last name Nobles.... he was eerily following a group of young ladies and was waiting outside the dressing area .... these girls were unaccompanied and didn't seem to notice ....i told them to be aware and they said yes they had noticed.... i tried to talk to management but no one seemed interested ....but if you are reading this i don't think this person is a "security" worthy person !!!! I live in another part of Texas and this was my first time in this Lubbock store. I was also sick, and had to find one item and get out quick. Most of the employees I encountered in this store did not display great attitude, nor were they especially helpful or kind. But one, ADRIAN, was really superb, very helpful and went out of his way to make sure I had a good experience, and I want to give him a shoutout. Because of HIM and him alone, this store rates a 5. Beyond upset! Just got back from the store! Did grocery shopping only to get to the front and find no registers were open! Only self check out. We had a cart full of groceries! Why are there so many workers on the floor and not one not one person on the cash register! I worked a full day and did not want to do a cashiers work and not even get a discount! You try to save money by having less workers and making the customers do someones elses job! We had to have assistance come over at least 3 times! This took longer for us to check our selves out then if an actually cashier did it. This is unacceptable. I am not pleased. This is how you loose customers! read more

It's sad that the closest Walmart to Tech is also the sketchiest. I've been approached by countless homeless people in the parking lot during the day and at night begging for money etc. Also avoid coming to this Walmart from like 11pm on up because they drop down to about 2 registers and its impossible to get in and out quickly because there is about 10 people in each line. read more

I think the public speaks for itself. This Walmart is THE worst. I'm not a fan of walmart honestly, if I could I would go to my local HEB or Market Street, but hey I like many of us here are students. We are too far from our home grown grocery-store and far too broke to attempt to buy 5$ bread. I've tried going to several other Walmarts around town, but this one is far mreo convinient because of its distance from my house. I'll work harder from now on though to make the further trip. The place is filled with hungry students, along with homeless people, and other suspicious people romming around. It is ALWAYS busy, and always pretty disorganized. Not to say the people in it are pretty rude, don't get me wrong- I'm not talking about the workers. I'm talking about the customers, this place just seems to draw in an awful crowd. If you're a parent, please be mindful and take your students elsewhere- they will thank you. And if you're a student, like me, I'm sorry. Maybe form a carpool? Also, to enjoy the October holidays, consider comming here instead of Nightmare on 19th street- this is far more realistic, cheap, and life-threatening. read more

Most incompetent Walmart I have ever been to. I already hate Walmart for the fact of terrible customer service, but this location is a disaster. Everyone is rude! I have been there many times because it is the most convenient place to get what I need. Every time I go there is never more than 3-4 cashiers working, and lines are backed up to about 20-25 people. The self check out always have a few terminals not working, and there is rarely someone there to assist any issues. We needed a price check for a shirt and the cashier called for a manager/supervisor to come and do so, we waited for 10 minutes without anyone coming and I eventually gave up because the line was piling up, and it was unfair to the customers behind me because of the incompetence. This place seriously needs some corporate intervention! read more

I visit Lubbock often and this is the WORST Wal-Mart in town. I've been here three times and each time I've had an awful experience with the employees and customers! The employees are rude and lazy, the store is messy, and so is the parking lot. Any time I asked an employee for assistance they were not helpful and tried to avoid the interaction all together. This store is always dirty, and poorly stocked. Nobody knows where anything is. Some employees are helpful, but 4 out of 5 times they will stop checking out and start having a conversation with other employees. I thought it would be nice because it's so close to campus. I used to think this was an okay Walmart, until I had an emergency. The rest of the Walmart is good, but the Auto and Lube center is awful, more specifically the technicians. They don't give a crap about their customers ten minutes to closing. I completely understand about wanting to go home, but I had a flat ten minutes before they closed. I was stranded, in the dark, on the side of the Walmart. I came in ten minutes before closing to see if they could just change a flat with my spare very quickly so I could be on my way. Instead of helping a person stranded in a task that would have taken 5-10 minutes maximum, they decided to close up ten minutes early. Luckily one of the customers saw what they did and not only helped me, but used one of his patches to help repair my tire. It says a lot about your customer service when the other customers care about you more than the actual employees. read more

It's funny how the new people are super nice and the people that are managers are rude. I grabbed a series on DVD and it was $9.96 but rang up $15.00. I told the new lady and the guy training her, he rand to go look. He was gone awhile and finally the new lady called over a manager to just change the price and the manager didn't believe me. Now I understand that they've probably been told that a lot, but don't be rude. She told me that the barcode should've changed and that people probably put the two in wrong places, I said do you really think that you guys have more of this in stock and she said that they buy more than 2. The guy came back and confirmed the $9.96 price, I said thank you thank you thank you, and the manager looked at me and walked away. I stopped her and said what, no apology and she reluctantly said sorry and walked away. I gave 2 stars for the other two nice people, it's still Walmart though. read more

The only reason why it does not get 5 stars is because it is Walmart and not top quality. But, for the price, who can complain? And despite all the back-lash and bad rep that Walmart gets, I have had nothing but great service, sincere friendliness, and earnest desires to help me with whatever I need.
