CVS. I like you, but not today and I won't be using this location for my pharmacy needs every again. I gave them close to 10 strikes to go through before I make this decision. I previously used this location for its close proximity to my house. The staff at the front counters are usually really great. The pharmacy staff has just burnt me one too many times.
They aren't ever very happy or friendly. The people in line to get their prescriptions are usually the people I have a good time with here.
So CVS has a texting system and they let me know when my prescription is ready. They usually act confused when I come in and let them know I am picking up something. This confuses me because it seems like the whole point of the texting is so I can just swoop by and pick up what I need. I am not a meanie though, I understand that computers are crazy and can't always be relied on. However, the employees treat me like I am a crazy person when I ask for a prescription that they don't have filled already. I feel like they are communicating that it is my fault, like I did something wrong.
Yesterday is when the final straw on the camel's back broke. I went to the doctor at 2 pm. He prescribed me two prescriptions and I also had received a text saying my birth control was ready as well. I waited to go until I got confirmation at 4:45 pm telling me they were all ready. It was suppose to take only an hour, but that didn't bother me, I had errands anyways.
I waited in line, finally got up to the counter. The lady said okay let me go get that prescription. I said, "Oh, I actually think that I should have 3 ready for me". I went on to explain what they were. She disappeared and came back with, "Oh, well you only have 1". I explained the text confirmations and that it was prescribed hours ago by my physician. She seemed like she wanted me to just take my one product and leave. I asked if I needed to call my physician. Out of nowhere a girl that hadn't been involved the whole time said, "Oh, yeah, we didn't fill that prescription because the wording was awkward."
It put me in a weird position. Like I had to ask them multiple times for something they should have for me. I felt like they just didn't care about helping me out. They finally figured it all out and told me it would be another 15 minutes and then they would call me up. They forgot to call me over the loud-speaker so I went to ask. They said they had forgotten and they were sorry. I went to pay and she only presented me with 2 of my 3 prescriptions. I asked where the 3rd was and she responded, "oh, did you want me to fill that one too". I politely said no thank you and left.
All in all I was there for over an hour with poor service, a lot of confusion, and still ended up with only 2 of my 3 prescriptions.
I really am sad it came to this and hate to not love places, but sadly it happens. read more
