My daughter and I popped into Market Street on May 19, 2026 after the disappointment of a local bakery being open only to pre-orders. I told her I had this grocery stores in Lubbock, TX, bookmarked and we could just pick up some cookies and a cake or something for her sister who had her final 6th grade band concert later that night. She obliged. We were visiting from a small town and were blown away by this place. It was incredibly clean. All of the employees were smiling and busy. The produce section was immaculate. We were getting short on time so we didn't get to go to many sections, but the flower shop was great. I'm not vegan but my sister-in-law is and she would love this place. There were tons of options. We walked away hysterically with just over 1 lb. of "scratch M&M cookies" (20-ct for $5.99) and a super cute 5-inch chocolate cake ($14.99). Busy place. I love this place...am visiting a friend and she brought me here so we could find some ready meals to cook while I am visiting. I was skeptical however I see that this place is known for it's ready meals! I chose a salmon, rice and broccoli...that I could pop in the oven or microwave. I don't eat meat, but do eat fish...and so was happy to see salmon. I was impressed with it as it cooked exactly as the directions said. And it was delicious...so glad I got it. It was a perfect serving, with the perfect amount of seasoning....and I enjoyed it for a light lunch before I attend a wedding today! The other reason we came here, was to find my ginger beer since I am quite the "ginger beer snob." And so they didn't disappoint...the best ginger beer is Fever Tree and they had it! We were able to get several things that will make food choices easier while I am here...and fruit as well. Definitely a great place...reminds me of Whole Foods...but a little more special! read more

I'm reviewing this as a native Californian. This grocery store is awesome. Probably my favorite so far. And I'm used to going to very nice upper tier type grocery stores like Nugget Market, Whole Foods, Raley's ONE, for those familiar with them in NorCal. Also to be open 24 hours is a huge bonus. The place is clean, bright, great selections. The food bar obviously is not open 24 hours. Huge selection of alcoholic beverages. There is a Starbucks inside. There is a dining area with fountain drinks if you purchase a cup and great place to chill and study. Free fast wifi. For sure this place moved to the top of my list of best grocery stores. read more

I always come to this market street for cheesecake in a cup! It's the best thing on earth and is a great snack! The employees always get me out quick which I appreciate late at night. The bathrooms are always super clean and taken care of. If you need a snack on the road or just a place to stop to walk this is the stop for you. read more

Pharmacy- 1st of all the wait time to pick up a prescription in line is January 30 minutes or more if you're in the drive up expect to wait an hour at times. And when I spoke to the pharmacy manager, she was more concerned because I use the F word then, facing the fact that she is running a fucked up Pharmacy.. I live in chronic pain and for me to have to wait in line for 35 minutes to pick up a prescription, and I have to stand the whole time because they don't have a number they don't have seating that you can wait. And the Manager admitted it was wrong, but she couldn't do anything about it and she wouldn't do. So come to the end of it. It has to be that she's a DEI hire. Because she is no manager you should see the mess behind the counter the medication piled up. It's just a wreck in there.. but to the pharmacy manager, I will pray daily that you live in pain as much as I do until you fix the problem. My advice find another Pharmacy don't go to United Market Street unless you have nothing going on in your life and you wanna wait in line all day. And by the way, the pharmacy is filthy. Just wait in line and look around. There is so much shit buildup around the bottom of the walls. There's shit buildup on the counters. I'm not even sure they should be serving customers until they clean the place up and learn to operate a business professionally.. read more

Shame on Market Street Bakery. My daughter was graduating and ordered a white cake with pearls. She gave an inspiration picture to show them what it should look like. That cake was purple. My daughter has an email to prove her request. She had a conversation with the bakery employee and explained she wanted white icing. When we went to pick it up the cake was purple. We asked them to correct the order. The next day we picked up the white cake. At the graduation party however we quickly realized that all they did was cover the purple cake with white icing. It looked horrible and we were embarassed. I'm so disappointed in Market Street. Knowing that people are celebrating important events and not doing what was right is disappointing. Next time I will go to HEB. I would appreciate a response from the bakery manager! read more

Market Street is a nice store. Prices on day to day items are high. I used the prepared food section as I was in town for two days. The two meals I purchased were excellent, baked chicken and beef stroganoff. The reason for four stars versus five is the lack of masks on customers and the Store's "look the other way" attitude. A full-service grocery chain here in West Texas. It is the upscale sister to United Supermarkets. Consider it Lubbock's version of Whole Foods. Market Street has a large variety of specialty items, lots of items to satisfy vegans and vegetarians, and plenty of organic, local produce. read more

I stopped in yesterday on a quick produce run. Normally, Market Street is fantastic! Not today. I was interested in some raspberry clementine/orange looking fruit. Operative word being WAS. The one on top had a nice layer of fuzzy mold in the box. So, I skipped the fruit altogether. Needed a veggie tray. There were three small ones. That was it. So I skipped those because I needed a large one. The salads on sale? None. Wiped out except for two chopped Greek salads not in the correct place. (It was around 6 on a Friday evening, so this is understandable, as they were on sale.) I am disappointed. I expect freshness and selection at Market Street. Seemed to be fewer employees out on the floor, too. Except the two guys roaming about talking to each other in the wine section. Just not a good visit, at all. read more

I had to be in town for almost 6 months before I discovered this gem. United Marketplace store is great! It definitely rivals the new HEB here in Lubbock. They have great produce along with an amazing variety of goods. I have been using the shopper service that gets everything on your list for you... you just drive up and they bring your groceries to your vehicle! The shoppers are so nice and friendly...This is a real game changer for todays busy lifestyle and restrictions, even though the restrictions are minimal for us here in the great state of Texas! I wish I could like this place, but it's amazing how much a company can get away with if they just look slightly less ghetto than Walmart -many times the bread I have purchased did not have an expiration date marked on it. This is a violation of federal law/ FTC policy -many times I have gotten sick from buying milk here that is often very warm and / or spoiled by the time I get home despite the date marked -I have witnessed stockers throwing whole containers of canned goods to the ground, causing multiple dents in their canned goods, which can cause botulism among other things Lastly, Why the hell is this place even open after midnight if they won't let customers use shopping carts? read more

People told me this was like the Whole Foods of Lubbock, TX. I see the similarities and the differences. While it does have gourmet foods, a great meat selection, great produce, and even a hot food line with tons of choices, it is not a store that specializes in heathy options (non-GMO, Organic etc), or specialty brands. You will see all of the same kinds of products you'd see in any supermarket. For example, you could buy Hot Pockets, or Top Ramen here which would never be the case at a Whole Foods or Trader Joes. read more

This location has by far my favorite atmosphere of any grocery store in all of Lubbock. Who knew that a grocery store could harbor such an enjoyable environment that it would inspire an almost library like atmosphere in the eat-in section. It is always filled with student and professionals working and studying. If you're lucky you can snag the cushioned chairs by the fire place! As far as pre-made food from a grocery store goes, market street is your best bet in Lubbock. The salad bar offers amble options and if you're looking for something not offered there you can likely just pick it up from the appropriate aisle or section of the store. I love the precut, prepackaged fruit medleys. I always get the one with berries or with strawberries, melons, pineapple, and grape. They are a great healthy and quick snack! As far as grocery shopping goes, they offer all the essentials plus some. The bulk goods aisle is at least satisfactory and by my standards it's awesome. We love getting peanut and almond butter made here. Just pull a lever and fresh nut butter comes out! Prices here are not the cheapest in town, I won't lie. But I like to remember that I am laying to not go to Walmart. And honestly, I would pay more to avoid Walmart. I don't do all my grocery shopping here because I am easily tempted by all the variety and specialty items (think gourmet, organic, or clean eating goodies, etc) which can run my bill up. But I shop market street around once every month or two. And I love this location most! read more

I come here often for obvious reasons. I even come here for a study break. You do pay a little more for a larger selection and organic everything. The cafe and salad bars are super fresh. Wine and beer selection alone is worth the trip. Haven't tried their sushi yet but looks pretty legit. Everyone is very kind and asks you if you need help every 5 mins in every other aisle. This pharmacy used to be really good, very understanding. I'm unsure of what has caused the customer service to decline, but the DT times are terrible, I've waited 30 minutes in line before just for them to not have my prescription available. David, is also very rude. I'm not sure what has provoked him to feel as if he must display his anger towards me, but very unprofessional, and I will be changing my pharmacy. Hopefully, one of the only 24 hour pharmacies in this tiny town, learns how to better treat their customers who keep them employed. read more

I really wish they would turn off the obnoxious music. Its very hard to study or concentrate when you are hearing music that is more loud than your headphones; it's even playing in the bathrooms. I would also imagine that that music is very alienating to older-generations. It seems to be a trend among establishments - from Walmart to Lowes - to play this atrocious pop music; and I wondered what those 50-60 year old employees were thinking when they had to work 10 feet away from Miley Cyrus blasting on high-volume all day long; it's definitely irritating to listen to for just 2-4 hours, even with headphones. I love this store for their groceries but I was really disappointed in their bakery. I ordered a custom cake for my daughters first birthday and it was, first of all, not decorated to my specifications (wanted ruffles and got flat, overlapping icing layers) and second of all, falling apart (icing was falling off the sides of the cake.) Taste was alright on it but nothing superb. Plus when I placed the order, I felt rushed and put on the spot to decide what I wanted right then and there; they didn't give many options to choose from and told me they didn't have any sugar crystals, or edible glitter and weren't able to make snowflakes that I wanted for decoration on the cake so I had to make those myself. read more

I like this location a lot, I usually shop at this one or at the one on 4th and Slide. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. You can also usually get in and out fairly quickly. I don't really like their rewards program though, I don't shop enough to actually ever redeem anything before they start over and I feel like it's dumb to cash in 200 points that you've spent who knows how much to get just to save $2 on a carton of eggs or something. You basically redeem your 200 points to buy something for .99¢ instead of spending $3.99. read more

I absolutely love the place, and I'm the Living Well Grocery manager there too. However, if you have a severe SHELLFISH ALLERGY like I do, DON'T EAT ANYTHING THAT IS NOT ALREADY PRE-PACKAGED!!!!! Pretty disappointed with this location, at 915pm. The pizza and soup department stated they were closed, bakery was closed and the meat department looked as though they were done as well. We love this store and plan a visit whenever we are in Lubbock. Wonderful selection of salads and sandwiches in the cafe. We ordered a pizza last visit to take with us. It was enough for leftovers later. Everything we have had has been delicious. The store itself is good but a tad pricey compared to what we pay in Austin. Can't wait to visit again. read more
