Even though this store is close to my home, I usually go to another store, because the Lagrange Walmart almost never has any motorized carts that work, the other day there was 4 that were out of order. Kroger in Buckner or Walmart in Crestwood has quite a few new carts that all work properly. I am handicapped, which means I can only walk a little until my hip hurts real bad. I have had all my tires changed twice in the auto center and it has been fantastic. It was fast and professional, and the tires are great. I also had my battery changed in a vehicle where it was very difficult. They only charged me $10 it took them a half an hour Save me over $100 from going to my Ford dealer. read more

Never in my life did I think I'd be reviewing a Walmart. They're all basically identical. This one however, is the best Walmart in La Grange. They have things for sale and sometimes they have things out of stock. Electronics employees are nice guys. Lawn and Garden as well. More registers could be open--but I'm pretty sure Walmart always has more registers than cashiers. Some employees blatantly don't care, and it's annoying when you need their help. The worst department I've worked with is the auto center. I ordered some tires and they never bothered me to tell them they arrived. Only did I find out when I called customer service and they cancelled the transaction. read more

Don't recommend getting your tires changed here! They goof off most of the time instead of doing their job and getting everyone out. They are beyond slow and are too busy vaping to get your car done quickly. Our can has been sitting their tires done but they're not putting them on the car! This tire center is not what it should be. A bunch of young kids working with no supervision. That wouldn't be an issue aside from the fact that they are telling people it'll be 2-3 hours on a tire change due to an oil change and tire change that just came in before me. The store was very clean and well stocked. The staff, especially Caleb who was working the self checkout, was very cheerful. I was able to get in and get out very quickly. I love the newly paved parking lot and how the carts have a cup and cell phone holder. read more

Last week end I went looking for a replacement for my computer. Went to Walmart and saw computer I wanted on clearance with only the display left. I asked to buy it and they said I had to get PERMISSION from the department manager who worked during the day during the week. So my brother went Both Monday and Tuesday and could not seem to catch the guy at work. Later Tuesday the computer sold to someone else. Seriously? I'm a 64 year old single woman with limited income. Finding a computer I can afford with what I need is not easy. To me, it's just another lack of customer service on Walmart. Part. Their phony excuse was they can't sell a display unless a replacement comes in or the manager approved. Hogwash. Two other computer displays were already sold. We visited earlier this evening as a family. We were looking through the electronics and despite our presence, the employees were cussing to each other loudly. They used the F word in every sentence, even though I was staring right at them. They are unprofessional, unsupervised, and inappropriate. Please fix this. On the very rare occasion we shop here, I figured I would drop a line of our experience. We had ordered a "site to store" shipment and stopped into customer service to pickup the item. The staff explained that site to store service closed at 8pm but actually went ahead and picked the item up and brought it to us. I must say I was a bit surprised. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful from the few we interacted with. This location is like any other walmart you dare venture in to. It boasts an elaborate group of Wal-Martians much like those spotted in rural America. I did not notice a diesel truck club, fast and furious club or even RV'ers of America club in the parking lot, I figured I had to be dreaming! By the time we hit the checkout I noticed something odd. There were 5 lines open with cashiers in the checkout after 10pm and we were the only ones checking out. At busier times we've been here, I've noticed 1 or 2 lines with cashiers open and large amounts of people waiting to checkout. Odd and a bit back asswards but the Walton's must know the science behind it. Whether you're shopping or people spotting, WalMart awaits your every adventure! read more

I've visited Walmart stores in several states and this is the only one that you'll see family pets. Let's be clear. These are not guide dogs. I've worked with individuals who had such trained animals. Because of this, I've cut back on my visits to this location. My prescriptions were moved elsewhere a couple of years ago. Wow...SUPERcenter, that's amazing. Yes I know they're all common here in Kentucky but back home they weren't. I love the fact that any store that stays open for 24 hours makes a shining star mark for me. I'm a night owl and I love to shop when no one is really around. Less chaotic and less stressful. I'm a looker and I love to walk the aisles. My husband hates it cause he's the shop and go type. Go figure. When he shops with me he would literally hold me by the wrist like a little kid and say "you don't need that" but I would say "it's on sale maybe one day we will." Tell me you haven't done that? You know you have, an item at a bargain price in a bulk size who can beat that. I would have given it a five but the times I've been their not many employees where helpful or customer friendly. They did have a few who recognize you where their that was always nice. I've also befriended an employee who was very helpful and who would always say hello when I come in to shop. I'm a freak for sales, if it has a red tag it's worth looking at. This particular Wal-Mart have an aisle dedicated to mark down prices...love it, don't have to hunt for it. Can't say I'm a fan. Stood around for 20 minutes and had a page called twice before someone came to sporting goods, and then the computer didn't work. Tried to call today and nobody picked up the phone. I'm not a WalMart basher but this store hasn't performed nearly as well as the other ones I visit more often read more

Walmart online grocery shopping, what can I say about it...while I like the convenience, I hate that every time I shop more and more of my favorites are out of stock and NEVER reordered. They just do away with it I guess. I would not complain if it was just a few items but there are many of my favorites out of stock and for a LONG time. As for in store shopping, I am pretty tired of shopping on the hardware side of the store and then having to walk waaaaay over to the other side of the store. For us older baby boomers it's hard on our arthritis. But as many times as I have talked to managers , nothing changes. When I worked for Target eons ago, the customer was always right and Target bent over backwards to please them. I guess Walmart thinks the older customers don't count. read more

11-27-18. I went to Walmart in LaGrange ky around 10:30am. I was grocery shopping in the dairy area and couldn't find a product. I asked several people for help but they acted like they didn't know anything about dairy. All of a sudden I heard a voice "Can I help you mam?" A young man who clearly was busy helping others, heard me. Not only did he stop to help, he went in the back inside refrigerator doors and when he couldn't find my product, he asked stockers within the refrigerator about it until he located my product. I ask him his name and all he said was "Colton". Well thank you Colton for taking the time to help me. He was very sweet and very professional. Walmart needs to acknowledge this young man. Not just because he helped me, but because he was helping EVERYONE, when no one else would. Keep up the good work Colton. I hope to see this guy in management someday. read more

As a Walmart stock holder I try to shop there on a regular basis, however this afternoon we stopped to pick a few items and the lines were so long and so few registers open we went to Kroger instead. Went to go pick up my class ring here. We asked a lady in the pickup section if it was back there, and she said no. So we went to jewelry to see if it was there instead - which was a huge mistake. We had to sit there for 2 hours waiting for literally 12 different people trying to open the safe with new arrivals from pickup. They even called 2 different Walmarts for the lock combination, which even they didn't know. Throughout this embarrassing ordeal, they still attempted to tell us multiple times to just "come back tomorrow". Turns out, it was originally in pickup all along. We left obviously aggravated, but hey at least I got my ring, right? If you're gonna put people in jewelry make sure they or another trusted person knows the safe combination so they don't call everyone in existence for it, and make sure you don't put some lazy ass in pickup who can't even be bothered to check in the back. The people that work here are so lazy it's unreal. Trained monkeys could do their jobs better. read more
