This Walmart was very conveniently located near my hotel. I was able to get in and grab a few items, locating everything I needed pretty quickly. The store was pretty well kept. There was alot of parking and the checkout was pretty seamless as well. They had a really good selection of graphic tees. A-lot of the beauty items were locked up, so you do need to get an employee to assist. read more

Absolutely disappointed with this Walmart on Beach Blvd (Store #01173). The customer service was downright terrible. I was charged got receipt but stopped saying I did not pay and could not leave, and instead of helping me fix the issue, I was embarrassed and treated like I was trying to steal; from the moment it started her "customer service," was out of hand and very not necessary and disguising. As I was trying to resolve the situation, another customer was also stopped and accused of stealing -- even though the charge came out of the bank account too. Could have got our phone number photo of ID let us go then if issue and once spoken to a top store manager over when store to research more then could deal with instead of the embarrassment! Where is customer service these days? Triggering people's PTSD!! I sat there for two hours on the phone with a VyStar bank rep (on speaker), who confirmed the money had come out of my account and clearly stated the issue was with Walmart's machine. Despite that, the supervisor on duty, Bernadette, was incredibly rude from the start -- nasty tone, no willingness to help, and even stood in front of my cart refusing to let me go, even after hearing the bank rep explain the problem. To make matters worse, another customer service rep named Jacqueline was also extremely rude and disrespectful. She wouldn't even speak politely to my sister, who was the one paying for my groceries. And to top it all off -- how did my transaction not occur when Jacqueline scanned my receipt, pulled it up on the screen in front of us, and we even have video proof of it? We were standing right there when my sister paid for the groceries a second time. So why was I treated like a thief? The way we were treated was completely unacceptable and humiliating. I will never shop at this location again. Be careful here -- not only do they mishandle your money, but they treat honest customers like criminals. read more

Horrible horrible customer service on how this specific employee (Carmen) handled my customer experience . All over a yellow sticker I was suppose to get at the front of the store entering for returned items. Fact is the lady who was suppose to tag my receipt was assisting another customer. Instead of waiting past the 5 minutes it took as I stood there I went to the return center. I laid my items down and gave the reason for my return along with the receipt. Where's the yellow sticker I was asked next, I told her I didn't have one that the lady was assisting an other customer and that I had already waited 5 minutes. She told me she couldn't do anything and I asked to speak with a manager. She said something in Spanish under her breath and proceeded to say, "Next Customer"!!! As I was standing in front of her. So the next Customer came up and yet again he did not have a yellow sticker and was sent off to track down the employee who was responsible for this. Instead of using her walkie talkie and call the associate who was responsible or her manager I spent the last 15 minutes getting an employee who knew where the sticker was to put one on my receipt. Finally I went back up to the register of another associate. Here is my receipt and items Miss. Oh sorry sir we need the credit card it was charged on. Me: um no you do t I will take store credit, associate: um no sir it has to go on the same card. To end this debate I asked to speak with a manager. Manager: yes this can be put on a store card. Me: Thank you Employees should know the basics. It's becoming a sad sad sad society when employees can't or are not taught the basics of their jobs. I used Walmart plus for deliveries for more than a year. Found they had charged me for two accounts for 13 months due to a typo I'd gone over with customer service for nearly a year. Customer service was more like a scam calling. Finally got a partial refund and hopefully closed both accounts. I've seen many older people also having these problems. Yes these things do occur. A lot of times they have no carts available, I have had to walk from one entrance to the other and still no carts. I shop on line to find a location of an item so I don't have to walk the whole store, today tree loppers were supposed to be in Y2 NOT they were in Y9 but not $22.88 !! No price on the shelve so I scanned the 1 they had $49.88 !! They have people that don't speak English or read working there, no wonder the stuff is in the wrong place with the wrong prices. You will get one star from me here NOW and every single time I am asked at the register until you decide to honor your posted hours. I hope everyone else does exactly the same thing. Several people were turned away tonight when you still had 10+ minutes before your store is to close. Most of us know what time you are supposed to close so they rush to get what they need as there aren't any other options for certain items at that hour. I needed one gallon of milk... that's all. One guy just needed to grab some soap, but that was a no too. The time they spent trying to deny our entrance into the store. We ask the idiot at the door why they are closing early and all she has to say is "we're closed, we're closed, we're closed. One guy just walked past the people at the door anyway which is what I should have done too. Are paying customers that much of an inconvenience that you can't even respect their time and the expense of traveling to your store? Your staff doesn't even know what to say when you show them they are closing early. Your manager should have been the one at the door explaining to each customer why they are being turned away during normal business hours. You have lots of other customers so chances are you don't even give a damn!! read more

This Walmart is clean, organized (for the most part), and the shelves are stocked. Unlike the one near my house, they generally have all the items I am looking for. This Walmart is almost one of the stores in Jax that is still open 24/7. That's a major plus for me since I'm a night owl. Not to mention that shopping at 3am means you don't have to deal with all the crazies! It's a much more stress-free Walmart shopping environment at that time of night, so I highly recommend it! This review is based upon my initial use of the WalMart order online & pick up service! Last night I found a couple of things I needed online and places an order for pickup. I received confirmation that my order would be ready by 11AM today. At 3:34 AM I received an email that my order was ready. About noon today, I clicked on the text from Walmart that asked me to let them know when I was on the way. I arrived in a parking space at 12:13 PM and entered my parking space # and car color on the app. (I was forced to install the app in order to do this! I don't need another app on my phone, but...) At 12:13 PM, an employee walked up to my car with my order. Yes, less than a minute I had my package in my hands! I know it may not go this smoothly every time, but I was impressed! One thing I neglected to check when I placed my order was the pick up location. I had entered my closest Walmart when I was shopping. But I noticed this morning when I was ready to leave my house that the actual pick up location was not the closest Walmart. I guess my usual location did not have both of the products I needed. However, this location is not much further away. I am very happy that we have options these days to stay in our vehicles if we so choose! There are many times I just don't want to deal with the public or waiting in line. Thank you WalMart! read more

Do not let the service center change your air filter. They may not put everything back right and you will be driving down Beach Blvd and lose all acceleration abilities putting your families life in danger. Not even exaggerating. They at least gave me a nice $30 Walmart gift card to give to my mechanic for finding and fixing the problem. About 1 in 4 customers were not wearing their masks! I asked 4 employees if masks were mandatory (they are) and they didn't know. I talked to someone in customer service who confirmed that they were required. I was told that only a manager can tell customers to wear masks. So whoever the manager is needs to do their walk through and ask customers to mask up or leave. The issue isn't that the policy is being broken; it's that by not adhering to this policy, everyone is being put at risk (potentially lethal). It's one thing for customers to refuse to wear masks but it's totally different for employees to not know their own policies. It's a shame because I'm a frequent patron of Walmart and I just moved to the area and this is the closest Walmart to me. I will not be going back. read more

I've only been to this Wal-Mart once as I received a coupon in the mail for $10 off a $50, online purchase which I picked up at the store. I did not go inside the store as the order was brought to my car. It was a pretty painless transaction. The staff member who brought out my items was very friendly. And she made sure I had all the items from my online order. I would suggest trying the online ordering system if you are like me and would rather skip the store experience. I just wish the Wal-Mart, which is less than a quarter mile from my house, would start offering this service! read more

I am saddened that the local Walmarts have had to install anti-theft deterrents at the entrances. One way gates to keep people from walking out the door with full carts. Who doesn't love Walmart, you can find just about anything! Unfortunately the service is absolutely awful. Nobody is helpful when asking where something may be or checking the price because there was no price tag. I can't say I've ever had a pleasant Walmart shopping trip at this location. My last trip I was informed by the "greeter" that there were no shopping carts available (clearly an entire parking lot full) & that if I wanted one I had to walk back outside because that "wasn't his job". I no longer ask store associates any question i may have, I go on the app if I need help locating an item. It's a shame, I don't enjoy shopping here & using those bathrooms are never an option; they are always disgusting. I was impressed with the cleanliness & organization of this Walmart Supercenter... possibly because it wasn't very crowded on a Saturday evening. Even so, I found this store to be well-stocked and easy to shop. Even the check-out lines were efficient, which you know is not typical. So I went and bought down a "hold down" which I was rudely told to do by the other employees at the other Walmart and drove out my way to this Walmart where I met JUSTIN in the auto care department! He greeted me promptly and was sooo nice and told me why I needed a hold down and explained what was wrong with my battery and why it most likely was dead. With a loudspeaker blasting in the parking lot reminiscent of The Hunger Games, and about a hundred cart standing around in the parking lot I should have known better. I finally make it inside and there are no shopping carts available when I ask an employee where are the shopping carts she looks at me as if I'm speaking a foreign language. Maybe when Publix starts to sell ribbon which I needed,then I can avoid Walmart. I come to this Walmart only when I have to get a money order because their system is usually up and running. My preferred Walmart is on Phillips Hwy. This store is very busy and I don't care for the layout, it's very different from Phillips Hwy and I find it difficult to find what I want. It's your typical Walmart, I can't say much about it other than they do have most of what you need because, well, they're Walmart. Anyway, it's convenient and their money order system is usually on-line, not always, and that's why I will shop here. read more

I ended up at this location as the one closer to my home had none, even though the website said they did. I went about 7-8pm on a weekday, not real busy but not busy enough to open extra lanes. The absolute worst place to go for anything. The managers half care and the employees are worse. We went to customer service yesterday to return some items but no longer has the receipt. Instead of telling us that we cannot return anything over $20 the "customer service" employee rang up all of our items and then promptly told us that we couldn't return anything over former said amount. To which I replied that we will just return twenty dollars worth and she said she couldn't authorize that. So we waited in line 15 min for to tell us she couldn't help with our returns. No signs are posted and no customer service. This place is garbage and they still owe me money for a battery they said I couldn't return when I bought the battery from Walmart. I'm going to try and make a post every week to remind everyone what garbage this store is. Its as bad as the McDonald's on Southside. I am going to go back up there soon, when I get a moment to speak with the manager. Its wrong and it's unjust. There's no signage explaining their policy and regular everyday people have to abide by this hidden rule. Its unfortunate that my wife, child and I had to standing in line just to be refused. That sounds a lot like what I learned about Russia in the 80's. Standing in line for hours without knowing whether they will be able to help you when you get inside. Walmart is a horrible company that has lost its way, like most corporate entities/enemies. They forget about the customer and focus on the number margin. The employees were VERY nice but they just didnt have any sort of staffing, I needed all 4 tires changed (i already bought my own) and my installation appointment was at 4:00 PM. I didnt leave until 7:30 PM, there was nothing unusual and there wasnt any problems with my car, they just took forever to install the tires. Apparently what they do (what i was told) is that even if you have a tire install appointment, they will prioritize oil changes first, so even though my appointment was at 4pm my car didnt even enter the bay until 5pm and even then they only worked on my tires in between oil changes, i showed up at 4pm, had an appointment, and ended up being the very last person to leave the shop, like seriously, it was just me and an employee left by the time I got out. I dont blame the employees, I blame walmart for setting a stupid policy of prioritizing oil changes over scheduled appointments. I would not recommend going to this shop for the simple fact that your appointment means absolutely nothing, you might as well spend the extra $10 at an actual oil change place and at least be done in a decent amount of time. read more
