First, the last 5 times I've come into the store, I have seen a dog. This is a big problem to me. You're a multi-billion dollar corporation, and dogs should NEVER be near food, or in a store period-unless the dog is a service dog. You might say nothing can be done about that, I care to differ. Unless the dog has a certificate of service and in uniform, no dogs should be in stores. Now if the store has no foodstuffs, or goods, than okay. But just today, I was in an aisle and I'm reaching down to get something, I come eye to eye with a dog! It's unsanitary AND nasty. There are many who feel the way I do. Walmart Auto Center (11000 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville) will damage your vehicle and not compensate you for the damage. I recently took my Audi to Walmart Auto center for tires and made the mistake of getting my oil changed. They drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil then were not qualified to refill it. The car needed to be towed to an Audi dealer. They refused to pay for the tow unless I signed a release of all liability for their actions. When I refused, the manager got belligerent and I was forced to pay for the $150 tow myself. When I returned with the invoice for the transmission, the manager told me he would not cover the cost. He said it was my fault that I didn't sign the release the day of the incident, that it would have all be settled. Instead, he said, you can deal with our insurance company. It's been a week since the event and I sit here with almost $2,000 in charges on my credit card for Walmart's incompetence. I tried my best to be patient with their management but their lack of any concern about my car, my time, my out of pocket expenses etc., has left me bitter. I frequent this place because it's close to home. It's your standard Wally-World and stays pretty well stocked. The customer service is hit or miss. One day we went inside to shop for groceries and then stood in the long line. A customer in front of us has a large pack of meat pouring bright red blood all over the place. I let them know but the staff didn't seem to care. Until the cashier next to us overheard me and grabbed a manager, and I told 3 other staff members. This cashier went above and beyond to clean it up due to the fact that the custodian who was called wasn't coming. Then the manager runs over and yells at the cashier for cleaning up the blood!!!! Then she walked away!! What kind of management 1) yells at staff in front of customers 2) walks away and leaves a bloody mess on the floor 3) continues to talk about the staff member with other staff within hearing distance. I just had to do another review for this Walmart and bump up the stars. We've been shopping at this one a lot more recently and it's growing on me. It's clean and is stocked very well. I can almost always find what I'm looking for at this Walmart when my regular Walmart is out of stock. I crochet and they have a HUGE yarn selection. I mean HUGE! Most Walmart stores are extremely limited on their yarn, so if I need yarn that isn't the Barnat brand (because all Walmart stores are limited), then this is the Walmart I come to. It's still pretty impossible to find an employee to help if you need assistance, but hey, that's Walmart for you! Also their grocery section is complete backwards from my Walmart. So sometimes I really have to do some searching for an item. Would it hurt Walmart to make the layout of the grocery sections the same? LOL Also, this Walmart is open 24 hours and it's only a 15 minute drive. My Walmart (at River City) closes at midnight. So, if we need something in the middle of the night (that's often because we're night owls), then this Walmart is close enough! read more

I want to give a shout out to the brave hardworking men of the service department for their customer service and professionalism demonstrated during my auto service this morning. My praise is not because I had a great experience at their auto service center. I actually had a rather unpleasant experience overall with this Walmart's auto service center. However, this was NOT due to the actions of any of the auto service center employees. This morning was the THIRD time I had to return for a tire rotation and TPWS check. This is entirely due to understaffing and incompetent workload management. The first I came in it was a 4-hour wait. This was because it was a Saturday afternoon. I understand that, since this location (and perhaps the entire company???) does not allow customers to make appointments for tire rotations. This is my first point of contention. My second attempt at servicing my Camry was yesterday morning. I arrived just slightly 2 hours after they opened but was told there was only one auto technician on duty. Apparently a tire rotation is a 2-man job (who am I to disagree). There would not be a second technician on duty for 2 more hours. I was advised to return the next day (this morning) at 7:00 AM when they first opened, and there would be 2 technicians scheduled. This morning I arrived at approximately 7:20 AM. I was expeditiosuly attended but told that there was an appointment for new tire installation att 8:00 AM. I would need to be "set aside" (so to speak) should this customer arrive for their appointment. This brings me to my second point of contention. Why do SOME services warrant an appointment while others don't??? Much to my chagrin that new tire installation DID arrive, and my simple tire rotation and TPWS check took nearly 2.5 hours. Being an extraordinarily reasonable individual I waited without verbal complaint (though it is a good thing no one can read my mind, lol). When my car was finally completed I asked a couple of questions (which were professionally and thoroughly answered) and was sent on my way. However, during my 3 visits I was told my more than 1 employee that the auto service department was severely understaffed, and through my own observations I determined that the manager of aforementioned department was actually performing the duties he was supposed to be overseeing. Is this the fault of the auto service department manager? I am going to assume the answer to that question is NO. Is this the fault of the store manager? I'm not sure, but it certainly is the fault of some level of management. The district manager? The regional manager? The CEO? I do not have that answer, but I do have a suggestion. If Walmart cannot find qualified staff to operate its auto service departments, they should allow scheduling of services for the convenience of their customers and the sanity and efficiency of their staff. Unfortunately for me, when I replaced all 4 tires with a different 4 months ago (yes, I had an appointment) I purchased the road hazard service, which provided free tire rotation and tire repair/replacement for the life of the tires. So I am now stuck going to Walmart auto service centers for my tire needs for the foreseeable future. But if I continue to have the same negative experiences each time I need service I ASSURE YOU I will spend my money somewhere else when those tires need replacement. I will do my due diligence and select a retailer that demonstrates more concern about their employees and customers. read more

I have been using the Walmart pick up program for about a year now. Up to now I've been very happy with the experience. Today when I picked up a $220 grocery order the tide pods I had ordered we're already open and half of the pods we're missing. The Spic and Span cleaner I had ordered was open in a bag and sloshing around. The problem with this is I really don't know how to handle this with Walmart and get satisfaction. This is a good program if the people who administer it properly take care as they go along and pull the items as they are packaged up and bring them to the customer. Also, the Web browser is not consistent in their explanation of items. Sometimes they show price per item, sometimes per ounce, etc., etc. it is not consistent. Quite a few simple items are not available... parsley, Kleenex Hand towels? Ridiculous now to have to go to another Store. UPDATE: You won't believe this! Just after writing the above review I also completed a survey that Walmart had sent to me. They always send a survey after you pick up your grocery order. Within minutes after they received that survey I received an email back from them apologizing and saying that they were crediting my credit card for the amount of the items that were messed up! I am amazed. Additionally... I was just able to complete my grocery list with the items Walmart did not have at Target. read more

Never coming back here to return stuff. I had some things I got from Walmart on Beach Blvd location and when I went to return some things, the girl told me she can only refund me a few of my items and the other things I would have to take back to the original store which was on Beach Blvd by Hodges. First of all, I shouldn't have to take items back to the original location because of their "inventory" issue. I thought if you had a valid receipt you "SHOULD" be able to return any item purchased from Walmart at any Walmart location regardless if it was clearance items or not. Second, y'all need to hire some intelligent people to work the returns/customer service counter. The girl who was returning some of my items was straight up RUDE and when I went to Beach Blvd. Walmart that's by Hodges, the girl at the customer service counter said she just didn't want to take your stuff that's why she was saying that nonsense and I'm sorry that you had to drive all the way to this location and for the inconvenience. I am glad she was nice about it and did my return. At least she knows what she's talking about. Can we say how frustrating it is for someone to be told they couldn't accept all your items due to "INVENTORY" issues?!? read more

Walmart is always a love-hate relationship for me. I can spend a small fortune occasionally when I pop into one, but I prefer smaller stores with significantly better customer service. Sometimes- Walmart is just easier to find what you are looking for. I got a little excited coming through the door ad I could see Halloween shelves and what looked to be a lot of decor still left- oh goodie~ lets see what I can find!!! Less than what it looked like, I proceeded to the next holiday that needs decorating for. I am so not ready to think of the big C holiday- but with limited merchandise out there and no relief in site, I have been warned by family and friends in the retail business to buy now before it out of stock. We also managed to pick up some cat food- something I have seen shortages of at lots of Walmarts and we hit the automotive section for more window washer fluid. Another good point for the store- you can the a good variety of things all under one roof with (usually) a good price point thanks to the masses shopping here. read more

We shop here all the time because it's close to our house but to be honest we probably wouldn't shop here if it wasn't for convenience. Many times they don't have merchandise in stock and what they do have is of poor quality sometimes. It's hit or miss with this location. There's also been a few incidents of crimes at this location. Makes me feel uneasy visiting at night time. And lastly their pharmacy is the worst. I had asked them to transfer my daughters prescription from Publix one morning. Came in later that evening to pick up her medication and they haven't even contacted the public yet. Service is slow. I definitely did not use the pharmacy after that and needless to say I asked another pharmacy to transfer her prescription. read more

I am a firm believer in "If you don't like your job; Quit" I recently placed a pick-up order, and things went south. I placed the order for a particular item, and it was going to be substituted, so I cancelled the order. I proceeded into the store to retrieve another item. There on the shelf was the item that they claimed was unavailable. Okay maybe the person picking the item(s) can't read, or maybe they just are lazy, or don't want to do their damn job! I once again threw caution to the wind and again placed order to be picked up. You guessed it, it was unavailable. Apparently, I keep getting the same lazy, shiftless, picker as before. I went into the store, and you guessed it, it was there on the damn shelf. I am trying to understand who and why these people in these job positions apparently have a "I don't give a damn" attitude. I wonder would they do their mother like this? I would suggest to the individual(s) responsible for management of this service, vet these individuals who are performing this job for competency. I, as a manager would make sure these personnel are very knowledgeable of the store layout and product locations to further ensure customer satisfaction. I don't care for this place at all. I only come here when I have to. I know it is a good place for most, I am not one of them. The main problem I have is that they have twenty registers and only two at the south end are open and two on the north end are open. No one ever around to help you when you need help. I parked near the east entrance. was told entrance was closed to make sure patrons wore masks by employee standing outside entrance. asked for supervisor and was refused. walked to other entrance and they also refused to get a supervisor. that employee was super rude. by their theory I should walk the length of the store (huge) 4 times which is physically hard for me (I use shopping cart as a walker). You select a date & 1 Hour window for pickup of your order, with a minimum of $30, & you pull up in a parking space on the side of the building. We ordered both food & merchandise online. I sat outside waiting on my tire to get replaced and watched as the guy turned away 8 cars by telling them unrealistic wait times of 3 hours. He told me 2 and I had 4 cars in front of me and it took a little over an hour but their were less cars when these cars pulled up yet he told them longer wait times. One guy pulled up and he said 3 hours the guy said that's fine then he told him oh we can't touch that tire bc it's sidewall is damaged so the guy asked for a new tire and the he said we don't have that size. Just seemed like he was doing everything he could to turn business away. This was just a quick stop to pick up a few things and I did not have any trouble getting through the register lines because I went to self service. I will be the first to say I'm generally not a big fan of large stores like Wal Mart. Long check out lines and lots of people don't make shopping relaxing for me. But we all know there are times you just can't avoid it. I was super excited when WalMart introduced free pick up. It seemed easy enough- order online and they would bring everything out. This is my second time using this service and each time I've had to wait a significant amount of time. The app says 4 min but that has not been my experience. I typically wanted to use pick up when I'm busy and I'm a hurry. I don't mind waiting 5 min or so but 20-30 min is ridiculous. If WalMart wants to keep customers using this service they need to figure out how to execute better. read more
