Needed an item in a locked cabinet..really, now highland has locked items...then, couldn't find anyone, finally after walking all over the store, talked to an associate, told me to go to customer serv, what, they couldnt have called someone? Heyy walmart how about a bell by those locked up items. Annoying! Then, waited in check out lines, tons of people and they wouldn't bring up any more checkers. Ridiculous! Ridiculous. We're 37 years old with grey in our hair, we showed ID yet still could not buy 2 bottles of wine. Their store policy is; BOTH adults have to show ID, if under 40. This lady somehow magically knew that I was merely 37 and not 40. I left my wallet in the car, god forbid! The lady at self checkout was extremely rude about it and this is after I took the time to stock the plastic bags myself because our self-checkout lane was out of bags (there was a pile sitting nearby). No wal-mart associate to stock the bags, PEOPLE CHECK THEMSELVES OUT, but when it's time to take the wine away from the white people! Watch out! Wal-mart in full force! Im 85 years and do my shopping at the Highland Il walmart. I have trouble walking due to heart/lung issues, so I need a scooter to get around, IF there is any available. It doesn't matter what time of day I go, I get on a scooter, reads fully charged btw, drive it for a few minutes and it dies in the aisle. EVERY TIME! My last visit I had to call the service desk 3 times for a different scooter to be brought to me, and I wasn't the only one waiting with a dead scooter. Another woman was stuck with a dead scooter in the same aisle as me. If old folks are going to shop at your store, then have ENOUGH, at least 10 per side, to accommodate and ensure that these scooters have enough time to actually charge.....for crying out loud. read more

Not following Face Mask mandate. Sarah a manager in highland stated they can't force people. So why are these people still allowed to shop and cough over all the produce. I demanded to speak with management, that's where Sarah came in to do nothing. This is absolutely putting highland community at risk. Wal-Mart needs that money! Save lives, you will get COVID-19. Bought a set of Michelin tires from the auto center here. They were BALD AND SMOOTH in 20,000 miles but warrantied for 60K. We took them back and essentially said "These tires were guaranteed for 60K miles and they are bald at 20K, we want them replaced." They did everything they could think of the keep from honoring the warranty. First, they said we didn't rotate the tires. I promptly produced the receipts for all the tire rotations we had done on the car. Then they said the tires were improperly inflated as ONE tire was 1 psi underinflated and proceeded to say that was why the tires wore out and refused to honor the warranty. We called everyone we could think of, starting with the manager all the way to the corporate offices in Benton AK along with Michelin who refused to warranty their tires that were sold by Wal-Mart. If you are looking for car service, this is NOT the place to get it. Not only will I never buy Michelin tires again, but I would not use a mechanic or shop that; instead of standing behind their guarantee, went out of their way to try and find reasons NOT to honor the written warranty. We bought replacement tires elsewhere, but be warned that this shop does NOT HONOR their warranties. read more
