This is our go to pharmacy and they definitely have a tough job there is always a line inside and out in the drive thru. They are always professional and honest about when they can get a prescription filled. They have offered to call my physician when refills are needed. I know they work very hard in this pharmacy and sometimes there is a wait to be served however I recognize the volume of customers they serve here and understand that going in. Our insurance company sent us an Rx card specific for another pharmacy chain and I went there and they actually said even with my Rx card that my prescription was not covered by insurance I got in my car drive to this Walgreens and they filled it with no problem. When I told the pharmacist what happened he was baffled and had no explanation why they would have told me that. read more

Compared to other reviews I've had a much better experience at this Walgreens than most. I've yet to deal with the pharmacy so I cannot comment on that yet. The employees were friendly and courteous. I went in to get passport photos taken of my daughter and somewhere on my way home I lost them. I called the store to see if they were there and they took their time to check in the parking lot in case I dropped them on my way out. Even though they were not found I went in the following morning to get new ones printed and realized the employees from the previous night went ahead and made me new prints free of charge. I changed my rating to a 4, mainly because there may have been a change in staff or because of the season; regardless employees are less interactive with customers. read more

Do NOT use this pharmacy. Period. My father placed an order to have his medication refilled two days ago. When he went to pick it up today, there was no medication. They informed him that they could not refill his prescription because "he still had pills left." He has zero left, and he only takes the prescribed amount each day. This same pharmacy did the last refill of his pills, so apparently he now needs to start counting pills each time they refill the order to make sure they have actually given him enough to cover the three month supply. He now must go a week without medication until they will refill it. And this is not the first time they have screwed up on his medication either. If you're in the market for a pharmacist, steer clear. The customer is not the primary concern at this pharmacy. Apparently neither is counting out the correct number of pills in your prescription. read more

I was recently diagnosed with a breakthrough case of Covid. I needed some OTC meds that the dr had recommended besides a prescription. One of them was Nyquil for my cough and help me get some sleep since I was only sleeping 2-3 hrs a night. Walgreens wouldn't let my husband do a pick up at our car because it needed ID. So I called and asked the pharmacy if he could pick it up at the drive-through and the answer was "No, they are far too busy." I put in a pick-up order at Wal-Mart for groceries, including the Nyquil, and my husband went to get it. He sat in the car, wearing a mask, waiting for our groceries since we can't go in the store now, and showed his ID to the Wal-Mart attendant, and there was no problem. Any company that tells a customer they are too busy to accommodate them is not a place I will give my business to! read more

Had an appointment at 10am that I made online for a flu shot this morning. It's 10:55am and I am still waiting.... Checking in the kiosk could not find my appointment so I had to make a 10:45 appointment on the kiosk. Then sat around and waited. At 10:45 the lady came out and called someone who was a walk in and came in after me!!!! Now I've lost an hour of my life and will not be back to this take care clinic. Pharmacy drive thru is extremely slow. Once or twice a month, each month, for more than the last several months have been agonizing to pick up prescriptions. The store manager needs to rectify the problem ASAP. read more

Pharmacy vaccines tells you they are open until one time but they close whenever they feel like if they are busy or don't want to deal with customers. Literally what they told me and I ended up having to pay 100$ for a vaccine that should have been free at another pharmacy. read more

I get 8 to 10 prescriptions at Walgreens in Glen Carbon, and they mess them up almost every time I go there, this has been going on for 3-years, one time I went out to my car and had to go back in three times before they got my prescriptions right, this is almost a constant thing with Walgreens in Glen Carbon. One time they would not give me even half of my prescriptions because they said my doctor had to call them first, I got so upset because I knew that was not true, so I went straight to Granite City Walgreens, they told me they could not understand why they did that, so they looked up my prescriptions on the computer and filled them for me. One time the pharmacist told me she could not fill my prescriptions if I didn't know the names of them, so I went to the manager and the manager went to the pharmacist made her pull up my files and give me my prescription. By the way! it's never been 15 minute wait for me it's always 30 to 45 minutes or longer, os I always leave to go to other stores and come back mostly to find out they screwed up my prescriptions, so at times it can take up to 2 hours to get my ten scriptions. What gets me! is that some of my prescriptions are life threatening not to take. I even take in my old prescriptions, and 80% of the time they still can't get it right. If you have more than three prescriptions I advise not to go to Glen Carbon Walgreens. I had my daughter and my passport pictures taken at this WalGreens. I paid $27 for them. When I took them to the post office they were not the correct size. Our heads were to small in the pictures. Really?!?! That is what I paid them to do. I had to pay for the pictures to be retaken. I will not be going back there for anything. read more
