On "Black Friday" I ventured into Walmart forgetting it was Black Friday. What could have been a disaster of dystopian Beyond the Thunderdome proportions ultimately turned out to be just another day leading me to consider whether Black Friday is really dead. Sure it was crowded but not food riot crowded and the lines to check out were not hellacious so, I never really had to body slam anyone for a $69 knock-off IPad. I'm now very sad. @ Hamilton, NJ This is a super center Walmart where they carry groceries, clothing, toys, electronics, pharmacy, automotive, pets, tire center etc. The grocery prices were very reasonably but a lot of products were locked and didn't see enough workers to ask for a price or help. Also, there was only one person checking the receipts on the way out which formed a long line. read more

Not the best store around. Like almost all other Walmarts, everything is locked up and it's difficult getting an associate to unlock the case. Went to get cough medicine and quote blade. They don't sell the wiper blade I needed, which was fine. But the books they have are either torn apart, missing or put back in the wrong order. read more

I don't know how this place stays open. The employees are horrendous. I was in the return line 6 people in line one person working and other watching. Two were arguing when they were going to take their break. It was 8:20 am and the store opened at 7. Don't ask for the manager Rolando is rude and not much help either. Today was my first and last time that I will order online for delivery from Walmart. When my delivery arrived one of my items was missing. Walmart nor the delivery person didn't tell me anything. I happen to look into the bag a notice I was missing an item. However, Walmart charged me for that item. I don't no whether the item was stolen or never put into the bag. I have had enough with Amazon & Walmart with there fraud and greed tactics. If I didn't call I wouldn't have gotten a refund. Please don't order online for delivery because you don't know what kind of people are showing up to your house. They send zombies to your house who don't speak English and are clueless. This used to be my go-to Walmart, a tiny bit closer than the one In marketplace. I don't often go to Walmart, as it's not my favorite retailer. But this one is a disgusting disaster. ALWAYS a MESS. shopping isles continually blocked by merchandise just piled in shopping carts. Merchandise not stocked properly left, laying on the floors and just outright dirty all over never more than one or two cashiers available and then you go to the self check out and there's four people standing around, but only half of the registers are available for use so there's always a line there too, Whoever is running this store needs to reevaluate their priorities. Walmart needs to call the management on the disgraceful state of that store..... I was over by marketplace on rt. 130 the other day and popped in that Walmart and it's 100%. different - everything is clean, in place, and well stocked. I loathe this store, the company too, but this location specifically. I was able to live most of my life without ever shopping at one, that changed about 2 years ago when one sprouted up very close to my house. I did my best to resist, but found I was going out of my way to buy stuff that was cheaper here. The quest to save a buck prevailed and I gave in. While I feel like I do save a little, that benefit is offset by other factors. First of all there is the customer service they are known for( or lack thereof) I don't think an employee has ever acknowledged me, no greeting or assistance at any rate. Next there are certain departments that lack basic items you would think should be available. Gardening comes to mind, I come here in the spring and find that I can get about half of what I needed/ wanted, then have to drive elsewhere to get it where I always used to. Last but not least is the way patrons are asked for receipts near the exit door. On my trip yesterday I had 3 items I was leaving with, none of which were in bags and were clearly visible in my hands with receipt facing out. I was still stopped and asked to hand over the bill of sale. So I hope with that final slight, that will be my last visit. The lure of saving $$$ is powerful, but so are values like trust, loyalty and giving folks the benefit of the doubt( especially when they are clearly NOT trying to steal and are basically holding up their purchase for all to see....) This store just plain sucks, I hope they are all NOT like this, but fear they are to some degree. I was pleasantly surprised to my trip to Wal Mart today. I needed a photo album so I decided to do a little more shopping since I was out. I asked an associate for help finding the albums and unlike every other time I've asked for help at Wal Marts she was friendly and helpful, even walked me to the item. I was very impressed by the young man checking receipts at the door. It's the first time I've seen that he was counting the items. There were different sized items, some in the bottom of the basket, some on top, some food items and other types of products. He counted them quickly, that takes organized thinking. read more

It is not the best here or the employees. Matter of fact, I cannot say all employees, just the one who was assigned to assist self check out customers. He is just useless and has an attitude. Review for 7/17/19 at 8:45, I go to check out and there is no bar code to scan on my item. I asked the attendant to help. He said there's no bar code, do you know how much? I said no, he replied well if you don't know how am I, common sense. WELL....the common sense is to find the hell out sir. I mean that is your job, right? Common sense. Then he proceeds to say, well here's what we will do no bar code, don't buy it, and throws my item down. I pick it back up and said well I need it and that's not an option. I proceeded to ask customer service myself and they were able to assist me, thank you. Doing curbside pickup at this location is a mission. Not because they don't have the products or not on time. But the fact that they can say " your order is ready for pick up between (specific times) " . Just to be disappointed when you arrive and they say "your order was not picked ". This happened to me on numerous occasions. And when you want to speak to a manager, you can't get a hold of one. I'm not blaming the associates because they are only in charge of brining out what was supposed to be picked and loading the car. But to be waiting hours for a curbside pick up and to be let down. Shopping in this Walmart is a bit frustrating. In the seafood section, I noticed in that some of the shelf price tags had been ripped off. Now this would not be a problem if the store had price checkers. But no, instead of price checkers, there were only signs/decals on the pillars telling you to download the Walmart app. The self-checkout attendant was highly annoying and very insistent on enforcing certain store policies. To be specific, those policies were a 20-item limit per cart and one cart per station, neither of which I have ever heard of at any other Walmart store. We didn't actually have more than 20 items in total but the reason for the two carts is so we can use one cart for our winter jackets, shopping bags, and stuff. And just because of that, we got no end of grief from the pesky self-checkout attendant. read more

I used to love this store but today did me in. 4 cashiers, lines that wound around the store, 20 people deep, the self checkout only allowed 20 items. After waiting 15 minutes in a line that didn't move, I chucked 4 items out of my 24, on the nearest horizontal surface, and went to self checkout. Last week, I used the self checkout but the cashier checked me out. Had to go back to the store after I drove home, when I discovered 4 of my items didn't make it in the bag. Went back to store, customer service, they told me to get my missing items and come back to customer service again. I will say that they were super polite, but WOEFULLY UNDERSTAFFED!!!! read more

I had to wait for a sales associate to come unlock a glass case to buy dove soap...and then she escorted me to a register because I had to be checked out by a cashier to buy dove soap I couldn't use self check out....you wait in line for 45 minutes to buy your items. Worst Walmart in the country that I've ever been to. Place is always trashed when I go in there, nothing in stock, LOOOOOOOONG lines mostly because of the MORON customers who don't know what the he11 they're doing, having the poor cashier's check price on everything, take things off/put things back on receipt, have family members cut the line to bring them another cart of stuff, just ignorant a$$ people with no regard for anyone else, never any hand baskets, kids running around like crazy, no control, parents can careless what they do, no parenting at all, kids throwing stuff, pulling stuff off the shelves, making a mess, teens screwing around screaming, yelling, cursing, frozen section is never stocked, past 3 months nothing but empty shelves. Stocker told me there's no one to stock any cold stuff which is why there's NEVER ANYTHING. This store is filthy, always out of stock, long lines, never have any staff, the grocery pick up is always delayed and missing items and the store manager is very rude. They do not care at all about customer service. And if your grocery order isn't ready and you have no choice but to cancel it they will hold your money for weeks before refunding you. So if you have to go to another store to get your groceries because they didn't give them to you then you have to pay twice. And if you call the corporate number they don't care either. read more

Beyond pissed at the customer service at this location. Bought an iPhone charger for my daughter, less than a day in it just stops working. I come in to return, wait 20 min in line and couldn't wait anymore had to go to work. Came back the next day, customer service Line had at least 15 people in it so I decide to just buy another one and come back later. The next day the new charger also stops working. At this point I'm annoyed and have a 2 hour break so I head over to handle the returns. I didn't save the packaging for the chargers but had the receipts. Long story short, after waiting 30 min I was told very quickly that they won't return without the box. I refuse to spend another cent in this place. I guess I need to save the box for everything I buy here as it may be defective out of the box. If this is the policy it needs to be communicated at the time of purchase. I feel like not only have they wasted my time, but now they've stolen from me. The manager I spoke with showed no empathy and was just rude and mean. . . . These people here have no idea what customer service is and they sell defective iPhone chargers. I have escalated the situation to cooperate. This particular Walmart does not price match competitors (including Target). After calling customer support they explained to me that certain Walmarts no longer guarantee to be the lowest price. So instead of making multiple trips to different stores I'll just shop at Target who will price match Walmart if they have a lower price. read more

It seems like this is a constant problem I have encountered with multiple Walmart stores and I'm really going to make a stronger effort to avoid shopping at any Walmart in the future. This Wal-Mart has an extensive grocery section, with everything you can get at your regular supermarket but for considerably less. It is also my go-to to place for pet food, paper products and otc meds and things like shampoo, etc. They have an optical center, a pharmacy and an outdoor garden center. I usually find what I am looking for and the store is kept clean and neat. Staff are personable and helpful. There is an abundance of handicapped parking. read more

Online grocery pickup used to be wonderful. Lately the orders have been late- when you order you pick a time slot, they text you when your order is ready- but last Friday was ridiculous. I had a 4-5 pm time slot for grocery pickup. At 407 pm I got a text saying my order was delayed. I did a couple more errands, then decided to head towards the store. At 6pm I arrived and called the store number. No answer. I called customer service and they contacted the store manager, at 614 pm they said 15 minutes. I called repeatedly and spoke to the only associate who seemed to be working- one other guy brought 1 order out in an hour. Long story short, I did not leave with my groceries til 827 pm, and customer service emailed me a $10 credit for my next order. As great as this service used to be, it is now a joke. In 2 1/2 hours I was only the 6th order to come out of the store. I asked for a manager to call me but I got a message saying I Eli get another $10 credit on a future order. I went there to get a fishing license or permit cause mine expired. I waited 45mins for someone to help me while 4 employees looked at me without asking if i needed help.Finally when a employee came they said the system was down for 2 months which i didn't believe because a friend of mine went there a couple weeks ago and got her permit perfectly fine with no issue. Another person(not an employee) even asked if i needed help. This Walmart is the closest one to where i live. It seems like no one there knows how to help a customer properly. I love this WalMart! It's less than 5 minutes from my home. It's very clean and well organized. I rarely have a problem finding things. They have great prices and a good selection of groceries. So glad a Supercenter came so close to home. The only thing that I can complain about is, of course, there are never enough check outs open and some cashiers that take on this type of job should have good people skills or decide to get into another line of work. Had a cashier the other day that was so pleasant and she was waiting to leave and we were holding her up. Was such a pleasant surprise not to have an attitude thrown in my face. Same goes for the people in Customer Service. Have good people skills or look for another job. read more

not sure where to start -- because, come on. this is Walmart. you know exactly why you are there, and you know what to expect (and what not to expect). so, Rule #1: you think you're smart shopping at midnight on a Saturday coming home from a ball game? Like you'll have the place to yourself? Nope. Everyone thinks like you; there were only 3 lines open; the self-check-outs were closed so all the one-item people were stuck in those long lines as well; they are severely understaffed at that time of night; and the entire place is being re-stocked at that hour and you can barely move through the store. And the staff is annoyed that you are there at all. I left hubby asleep in the car and went in to do the week's shopping alone. I broke Rule #2: don't go it alone. It is a terrifying experience. Okay, so here is what happened. Try to follow and to stay awake. I braved it alone, and finished my shopping in a little over an hour. I had a fairly loaded cart. I make the turn to the checkout lines, and I see what I am facing. Oh, well. Three lines open, each line snaked back through Junior Wear. I get into a line and make small talk with the guy behind. We both chuckle LOUDLY at the one-item guy who rudely and boldly just butted in front of us, mumbling "I was here." Hey, buddy -- no you weren't, and had my big, strapping husband been with me, he would have told you that clearly and showed you the back of the line. But this guy knew an easy mark when he saw one, and chose me to butt in front of. Oh, well. remember -- he has one item. So all of us had picked the slowest line (you know those checkers; they look dazed and confused). Finally, one-item line-jumper is up there checking out. I begin to load my stuff on the belt. I have half of my groceries on the belt when me and chatty guy behind me realize there is a problem with one-item line jumper. We can't hear what's going on as I continue to load. THEN No Walmart staffer speaks DIRECTLY to me. Our slower-than-molasses checker and what appeared to be a screech-owl supervisor simply shout out into the universe: "THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. THE COMPUTER HAS FROZEN," or words to that effect. Again, no one speaks to me, just to the air: "They will have to go to another line." I shout, "No, I won't." THE SCREECH OWL SUPERVISOR REPEATS: "THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. THE COMPUTERS HAVE FROZEN." At no time did anyone say the magic words (which would have made everything okay), "Very sorry; let me get someone to assist you repacking your goods and you can go to the head of this line which we will now open." NOPE. NOTHING WAS EVER SAID TO ME. Should I have demanded a supervisor? Hey, anybody out there in Yelp Land ever ask to speak to a manager at a Walmart? At midnight, or any other time? I stand there exactly 10 seconds assessing my options. No one was going to help me. I had just spent 90 minutes doing my weekly shopping and waiting in line to this point, and it would have taken me another 30 minutes to re-pack my cart, then I would have to go to the BACK of one of the NOW TWO lanes open, and re-check out. So what did I do? I left -- and left my mess for them to clean up. But you know they won, right? Because my choices were: Shop at the 24-hour ACME down the road and pay 1/3 more; find another Walmart Super center that had groceries that was open 24 hours; or come back to this Walmart at a later time and do my shopping AGAIN. I went to this Walmart recently and the outside parking lot was absolutely disgusting. There was so much garbage everywhere and it grossed me out!! It was like dodging landmines on the way in. I felt like I didn't even want to buy food from here. I just went in and bought what I needed and got out of there. But...not before having to witness a full on fight between customers in line, which by the way, is the 2nd time I witnessed fighting between customers at this Walmart. I don't know...this Walmart is just really dirty. You know...1st impressions say alot about the experience you are about to have at this Wal-Mart, and that disgusting parking lot speaks volumes!! read more

I can't even begin to tell you how bad the Walmart Grocery delivery service is at this store in my experience. I have had success with this service in the past, but lately, it is terrible. In the last two weeks, I've placed two orders and they both were not delivered. Beyond that, they are routinely late and customer service is pretty much useless. The way the service works is you place your order. Someone at Walmart picks it. Walmart automatically schedules to have someone there from Doordash to deliver your order at the beginning of the order window. If they wait too long, which happens frequently, the driver leaves and they have to schedule another driver from Doordash. I suspect many of the drivers are fed up with Walmart wasting their time. For my last order, after the initial driver abandoned waiting, I know they placed 4 requests for an additional delivery driver but no one from Doordash was willing to accept. Hence the reason why I did not get my order. If you call customer service, they will try to contact the store. When the store I use is having issues, which happens quite frequently, they don't answer the phone. Not even for the customer service rep. So you are left with two options. Wait and see if your order eventually comes or cancel it altogether. I usually cancel and I'm out the time I've invested to order, wait, call, wait, cancel the order. I'm also out of the $12.95 a month delivery charge, and I still have to go shopping. If you complain enough they will give you credit for the delivery charge. But it's hardly worth it, and when you do finally use it, there is no guarantee you'll actually get your groceries. If you can afford it, use Amazon Whole Food delivery. It is more expensive, but everything about that service is top-notch. read more
