The absolute WORST pharmacy on the planet. Constantly gets prescribed medication incorrect. They…read morealso literally tell you to come in to pick it up, then it's not ready to dispense-- but you told me it was ready! We went to this pharmacy, then they sent us to another Walgreens on 76th street -- and they told us when we got there, there was no prescription... then they changed their mind and said come in Thursday (next day). Finally after a heated exchange with pharmacist, he located my prescription and wanted to give me 3x quantity that I requested and charged me a co-pay. I explained I did not have a copay. They wouldn't give it me without paying. I needed the prescription, which was now 2 weeks after I needed it. I don't ever recall this Walgreens getting it right the first time. EVER. Plus the pharmacy has limited hours -- not open on weekends and closed at 7pm the rest of the week. And, every time you call, set aside at least a half hour or more. They're always understaffed. And the voice robot answering calls repeats the hours, the lunch break times, the hours, and other information that takes 3-4 minutes to hear needlessly. Ok ! We've heard it -- can't I get to the pharmacist before I need to go through the robot parodical and get a person. And the staff is largely inept. What a poor excuse for a pharmacy! Save yourself a migraine and go to anywhere else.

I'm in line, I have a few things for a birthday gift and a few personal items. I like this store, I go there often enough. There is a line of about 3 people ahead of me. The first 2 are slow, but get done. The 3rd lady needs something special, and has something with an address change, I don't know, but she seemed decent enough. The checkout clerk (an older woman) is having a problem changing that address in the system, and calls a manager. The manager says "we can't change that" or something along those lines, and walks away. (you DON'T walk away as a manager, you finish it) They continue to mess with it. I'm still waiting. I walk away and get a different 12 pack of soda, not sure if the 3 packs special will allow 2 pepsi and 1 coke, so I figure while I'm waiting I'm going to bring another 12 pack of pepsi and set it nearby in the event I'm going to need to grab it quick (so I don't hold anyone up). I get back, still waiting (now going on probably 10 minutes total). The clerk looks at me and asks "Do you know how to do this?". I'm not kidding, she just asked me to run her register for her. I've never met this woman in my life before (not like I even see her twice a day or something). She ALSO just invited me to invade her other customer's privacy! Now normally I would have taken that opportunity to be a real jerk (either quote her a $200/hr technical consultation fee, creep out their other customer, or just unplug their system and say it is fixed, etc)... but I was too tired to go through that much work. I pushed my cart to the side, and just walked right past them out the door. I was done 20 minutes later at Walmart literally 20 seconds away. I've had great experiences with other employees at this store, so I still gave them a 2 realizing they can overcome any poor rating... but I think there is a reason so many Walgreens are closing... it is middle management.

The Urgent Care on Edgerton was open until 8:00 PM, and we rushed over. The facility was clean and professional. My wait was negligible. A nurse took my vitals and politely asked me to wait for a physician. Dr. Chaudhry spoke to me with understanding and expertise. His bed side manner was reassuring. The EKG was normal and multiple blood pressure readings were taken. Fortunately, my Systolic pressure dropped from 190/101 to 160/82. Dr. Chaudhry continued to monitor my progress and finally sent me home. I felt 100% better. This is the only Urgent Care to use if you live south of Shorewood.

Please, let this old man have a modicum of dignity, even if, or especially if, I'm coming in here for something uncomfortable. The biggest problem is Aurora's pecuniary greed. You'll be treated fine if you've got the right insurance, but they want to make very sure you do have insurance. Then after your visit, If your insurance doesn't cough up their share with adequate alacrity, or if you wait a couple of weeks to pay your share, you'll be sold to a collection agency faster than falcon diving on prey.

She interrupted me, and I finished what I was saying. I asked her to come to the window. She did not. She could have gotten all the requested info from the drive-through window area. She got the info she asked for and then came to the window where she stated, "If you had asked me to come to the window, I would have." I did ask her. She just wanted to argue and give me a hard time all the while she HELD onto my debit card and prescription. Smh. I finally rolled up my window to stop her non-stop instigatative behavior. She got the point, and THEN she sent my card and prescription through the drive-thru window. I changed pharmacies. I admit I was not the model customer. It seemed she wanted to continue arguing because she held onto my card and prescription instead of simply sending it through the drive-through window. Within 2 days, I transfered my prescriptions elsewhere and filed a complaint. She is the heavy set brunette. Steer clear of her. You've been warned. The pharmacist on duty that day backed her up and was foul. If you can't handle a customer service job, leave. If customers don't like the service at Walgreens, don't shop there again. I won't.

What are the odds. Did you know the first point of sales credit card check out scanners were made by Verifone, a Hawaiian company back in 1981? I feel like that's been plenty of time for people to get used to them, but maybe I was just impatient. So I saw someone getting checked out at the photo counter (speaking of vestiges of 1981), she watched me walk up to the counter, finished the sales with the gentleman she was with (was he getting glossy prints from his Kodak Instamatic? Did you know that in 1981 Poloroid sued Kodak for copying their instant film idea? It took Poloroid 5 years in court to win that one), made eye contact...and left the counter! So, I had to return to the long line, which was now one person even longer. This wasn't the fault of the young lady working the counter, she was pretty efficient, patient and improbably cheerful. The store is clean, bright and typically stocked. Unlike CVS, they still sell cancer causing addictive drugs here, which I suppose is a positive if you still smoke but as an ex-smoker this really bothers me.
