I know some big shot in management somewhere probably figured if they moved everything that people would spend more time shopping to find items and possibly buy more. Well, what a pain for everyone used to a routine! Last time I couldn't find everything and DIDN'T buy more. Why?! It's up there with Cracker Barrel changing their logo. The store had a decent selection, and I came across some unique items I hadn't seen in other Walmarts, like travel-sized BBQ sauces. I also picked up a fun MEOWICA tank top featuring a patriotic cat, which was the most purrfect surprise! It's hard for me to give a Walmart anything more than three stars and I was definitely in the middle of no where here. 3.5 max...

We visited Fresh Market while in Utah, and overall, it's a super cute store! They offer a nice…read morevariety of just about everything--from fresh produce and frozen foods to wine and healthy options. It's a one-stop shop with a clean, inviting atmosphere. That said, prices are definitely on the higher side, so keep that in mind. Also, while the staff was friendly, the bagging could use some serious improvement. Fragile items were placed at the bottom of the bag with heavy ones stacked on top--something that should really be addressed with better training. Still, it's a convenient and charming local market worth checking out if you're in the area.

This grocery store needs to be shut down by the health department for their produce section, fish…read moreand meat section. The fact that they're able to still be in business in these areas is beyond recognition. Don't even know where to begin. Zucchini's, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, broccoli, etc, etc, etc OUT FOR customers to buy and it is all rotten, expired, moldy. I just can't understand this and how they're still able to sell such items. The fish, the chicken, the meat...might even be worse.

We asked for a Utah fishing license and the gent gave us a non resident for Wyoming. The gents demeanor changed quickly and as we tried to explain we needed a utah non resident. We asked him to fix it. He called someone, he said that could fix it. They didn't answer. The gent said didn't know what he could do and asked if we wanted him to keep trying to get ahold of the person that could fix it. With his attitude we firmly said yes. The gent curtly said "how about this, how about I give your money back and you can get the f*ck out of my store" in a cocky demeaning tone of voice. We said yes again. He called someone that could approve a refund and told the person we asked for a non resident from Wyoming and then changed our minds, which we did not. We did get our refund, thank god, but We have never ever been treated in this manner by rips or their employees!!

Besides the grocery store near my house, this is probably the grocer I visit most in the summer…read moremonths. It's at the base of UT-150, better known as the Mirror Lake Highway, and it's just what you need when you're headed out for an adventure. I've talked about their connection to the highway before (summary: you can buy a $45 annual pass at their service counter) but I need to give them another shoutout. Over the last five years since my second review, I've been in countless times for pre-camp or pre-hike supplies. You know--the things you forget, or the junky things you get just because. I've stopped here for dinner a few times, but if you get there later than about 4pm, the selection of pre-made sandwiches, deli items, etc is pretty slim. And, to be honest, that's one area where I think they can improve. Not just the selection, but the care and quality that goes into those things. I mean, if I had my druthers, I'd stop at a local restaurant for food, but since I often come through town after dinner time on a Friday night after finishing work for the week, I want to get something quick! The magic is also with the gas station in that regard. I almost always fuel up here, even if I already have a nearly full tank. When I head up and out for 4WD adventures, the last thing I want is to have to turn back because of fuel worries. That little gas station just keeps on providing great drinks and a quick fuel. Add that to a grocery store that can help you grab things you may have forgotten (marshmallows!) and you've got a 1-2 punch that preps you for adventure.
