We decided to go to the Evanston Rodeo on Saturday June 11th '22. I called the Boot Barn, as I had heard they had advanced discount tickets. I was assured that the tickets were $10 per person.
I then sent my spouse over, with $60 to buy tickets for 6 people for the rodeo that night!
Then, this gal at the register totally went off the rails and told my spouse that rodeo tickets actually cost $35 per person!!! My spouse said, how can this be when they they are only $12 at the gate tonight??
My spouse indicated I had called ahead and Boot Barn had assured me over the phone they cost only $10 per person.
This gal totally doubled down and said for the horse race and rodeo they are $35 per person! My spouse said, what "horse race"??? We only want rodeo tickets for tonight! We just called you, prior to driving over!?
Again this Boot Barn genius said that she couldn't sell rodeo tickets for that evening's rodeo for $10. She demanded that rodeo tickets for that night's rodeo were $35 per person, per her superiors and Boot Barn Management!!
My spouse turned around, and walked right out of Boot Barn and went to Murdock's to buy 6 rodeo tickets for $10 each, for that evening.
We have no other reason to visit Boot Barn ever again. We cannot afford $210 to go to an evening at the rodeo. Especially when other venues are selling tickets for the discounted $10 and the rodeo itself sells tickets for $12 at the gate. All of this was thoroughly explained to this Boot Barn employee!
No more buying rodeo tickets here, and pursuing their merchandise and buying a new shirt, or hat, or jeans or whatever to wear at the rodeo that night... Nope!
