Not only was he quick and excited to give me the right books for the guitar I was buying as a gift, but he was just as excited to the 3 other customers and their gear. Dave was also fantastic, and the original sales guy, whose name I did not get was very informative and really helped me get what I needed. Great service, nice selection, prices were below what I expected for a small town music shop, and it looks to be ran by people who not only appreciate music, but appreciate sharing it with others.

From the moment we walked in he was friendly, knowledgeable, informative and patient with my 9 year old and her viola string repair. He included my daughter in said repair making her feel capable and confident. Christian's enthusiasm and all-around delightful demeanor ignited a deeper interest for her today. Summerhays is a beautiful store with a wide variety of instruments at reasonable prices. Many of the items I needed today were on sale which is always a bonus. If the book table employed employees like the people at the front, I would recommend this place. The employee at the "candy part" of the store was so engrossed with talking with her family/friend that she didn't even recognize there was somebody there wanting to buy something? I only had it limited in the amount of time because I wanted to get something for someone and I only had a few minutes to get something and run it over to them. After about 510 minutes of the employee talking to their friends/family member they gave each other a hug and the ones that I hope things go better for you or something like that. The employee asked me if there was something that they could do and I said not anymore. the time was spent. I wanted something earlier. Plus, part of their store had mold in it. Could tell that water had fallen through and landed on the carpet. I could not even look at that section of the bookstore because of the mold.

Upright pianos. Player pianos. Shiny pianos. Used pianos. Pianos, pianos, pianos. There's also a large selection of sheet music in the rear, which is what brought me here not so long ago. It's tougher to find a copy of "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" than you would think. It is decidedly NOT in the classics section.

When was the last time you saw a rock star shredding a guitar with his pointer finger???.
