I don't think I've ever experienced customer service like this at any WalMart I have ever been too. Wow. Blown away. First, I was looking for Halloween bags. I didn't even have to ask for help the gentleman, Shawn, who was working in the Halloween department on Oct 19, 2016 at 6:00 p.m saw the look on my face and asked if I needed help. He showed me exactly where the bags were. In addition to that, he saw how many I was taking and brought me a cart. Above and beyond! Now that is customer service. I love going into a place where people love their jobs and it shows. I will add that the greeters in the front started the shopping experience off good. To the manager and to the staff, your presence is seen! Your attitudes felt! Thank you! Shawn you Rock Man! You need a raise or a manager position so you can teach the art of customer service! If you want good customer service find someone 30ish and above. The younger employees will only do what's easier for them. Going the extra mile is not in the agenda for them. I had some returns to make and I guess there's some hours that differentiate from the closing hours of the store. I looked all over the customer service corridor and didn't see any closing hours. The lady was sitting right there in the dark when I asked to return and she said we're closed. So you mean no one's able to call the manage to make this happen. read more

Walmart Supercenter in Dyer is near Fort Bliss Main Post which makes it a great location to go to every time there is some last minute event and I need to pick up supplies such as balloons, cake, candles, plates, greeting cards. I also have been able to drive soldiers who need items for their barracks room or a change of cloths to this location because how much more affordable it is to the px. Now, lots of people will tell you to stay away from Dyer Street but I have not experienced any other than a bunch of people asking for money and trying to talk to you in the parking lot. The inside of the store is clean, well organized and it is actually not as busy as other locations. read more

The automotive department at the Walmart on Dyer St. is horrible. I have to work at 11a.m.; so I wanted to be there right at 7a.m. when they open. I get there and I am told, they won't be opening til 8a.m. cuz 3 employees called off. So He suggested I go to the Walmart on Transmountain, because they are already open. And the Dyer location has had 4 hour waits lately. When this many employees call off; it's usually because Management sucks. So if You are the franchise owner of this store; You may want to check into this. Cuz I get my grocery pickup's on Dyer & they are super efficient. This location is a nightmare. Sometimes I would come in, and there would be a massive amount of people here yet the produce section will sometimes not be functional / without power at times. They never really have some of the basic things I come in looking for. I usually try and avoid this place entirely whenever possible. None of the associates over at the automobile departments were able to assist me to grab some merchandise from the locked glass door. Waited over 20 minutes and no one ever came. I went to this Walmart to get my oil change. Parked at the designated area and waited for nearly an hour. I was seen by one tech who was driving another vehicle around the parking lot but never was acknowledged. So my review is on this store specifically, not the corporation. But, when running errands for my mother-in-law, I end up here. Huge parking lot, probably best produce of all the WalMarts in NorthEast. This store is a full store, with both groceries and clothing/electronics, etc. Very close to Fort Bliss. I put 1 Star for the auto service area that does oil changes because the people that work there are disrespectful . they gave me a little piece of paper that's a receipt and told me to come back and give them that and that I get my vehicle ... the person I was with gave the oil change guy my last name ... yet when I went to the desk to get my vehicle then the jerk refused to give me the keys for my vehicle even though I was told that all I had to do was come and give them their stupid little receipt ..which I did . I also offered to show I.d.! AND I also have my name on the title ! I like Walmart and I shop at Walmart. This Walmart in particular on Dyer Street. I hate. The reason I just like it so much is because 60 to 70% of the time someone is in the parking lot asking me for money it pisses me off. It pisses me off so much that I called Walmart directly to complain about this store. I hope they can post Security Guards at the bottom of the parking lot and patrol! read more

This store is great because it is near work so I can pop in durning lunch break for non perishable items. They have just about everything I need as far as basics go, and usually at the best price. read more

For such a big store it's surprisingly organized. Depending on what time of the day you go there the rush hours seems to change. I enjoy looking and the new items they just recently stocked. But this Walmart has the biggest clearance section I've ever seen. It's really something to take advantage of because you'd be surprised what they have. read more

This Walmart is a typical Walmart. Not fantastic, by any means, but I have shopped in much worse. The store is clean enough, and the shelves are decently stocked. The surrounding area is kind of sketchy, so when I do shop here... my goal is to get in, get out, and get back home. I would suggest against lingering in the parking lot too long, or going there too long after the sun sets over the mountains. I've yet to have a bad experience here with the employees, but that is always subject to change. As a former Walmart employee (not this store, though), I applaud this store's staff... I know they put up with a lot and it means even more, as a customer, that they can still be polite. Not all Walmart employees are capable of such feats. Fellow shoppers, on the other hand? There's a lot to be desired with that bunch. The store is always crowded with slow walking people, and people that have never even heard of the concept of disciplining their spawn(s). She is handycap had to turn driver license to get one told the person that she would need it to pickup med's she was told she would need it they said no she would not. Personal working do not know where any thing is located people shopping had to tell where it was located. Pretty Decent.!.! Not usually too crowded, convenient self checkout & generally clean overall, pretty decent customer service from the few times I've been there. Even my interactions the cashiers has been decent.. not what I'd dai above and beyond but where I come from, rude is the normal for most part so, I love tht every1 I've spoken to here had least, at a minimum, been professional, but polite mostly, thts the kinda thing makes me want to go back to a business more than anythng!! read more

. 1/2/2016 UP DATE: They now a large section of scooters. They monitor them ,go and turn in drivers License and get one, turn them in get it back. Great system!!!! Now if they restock faster...but a great store to run in. read more

Overall score of 3 out of 5 stars for the following reasons.... Cashiers are slow as they come, and god forbid if you have coupons as well. Never seen all registers open at the same time.... do they even have this many register trained employees on the floor at once??? Produce is bad. Either all sold out or moldy is the issue when I have been by his location. Restrooms are filthy, everytime I have been to this location I stop by the restrooms to have a look to see if they ever get cleaned. I would say that is a big fat NO. Pet department is seriously lacking in selection of products compared to other Super Walmarts I have been to or work for over the years. Customer service desk is slow and always only one worker at a register. Vision center horrible horrible service and employees do not communicate with each other at all. They "lost" my order and it ended up being from a 2 week wait for to a month and a half wait. Action isles are always cluttered with palettes of stock. Toy department rocks in the lego section. My nephew scored big this Christmas. The furniture department is the worst I have ever seen. With limited product and very crappy put together "samples" makes you feel like why buy this crap?! I come to this Walmart quite often-being that it's the closest one to my mom's house. The biggest problem that I notice here, is that they don't have very much selection, compared to other Walmarts around town. They run out of items pretty quickly. And they don't carry common items that other Walmarts do either. The staff is pretty quiet. They don't do much talking or greeting and hardly any cashiers speak Spanish. My mom always has a hard time communicating with them. Another big turn off, is that they don't honor "price matching" like Walmart says they do. I guess good things I can say about this particular store, is that their new "self-check out" is very fast and convenient. And I appreciate their clean bathrooms. read more

Ya know Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart. We can go in there with a basic understanding of how our shopping trip will be, but today Wal-Mart and all of its festering cessy glory really highlighted itself. As I finally find the best looking peice of meat I look for a bag to put it in and there are none to be found. So I walk around with a bloody meat package until I find one. As im grabbing the bag I notice what I guess is a homeless lady pushing an empty cart. Using the fruit and vegetable section as her own Costco sampler platter. Reaching in all the bahs and eating food, her fingers all wet from her tongue.. disgusting. My prequel to that was me picking up my photos. As I stood at the counter waiting to pay I finally am addressed by an employee on the phone next to the counter who rudely says. "No ones working back here go to electronics" its just the breeding ground for rude, gross, self instilled A holes. read more

I was recently siting at a McDonald's across the street from this Walmart and a man from the Walmart eye center came in. He had his white coat and name tag, clearly he wasn't hiding where he worked. He sat behind us on the phone and started cussing and complaining about the military. Calling soldiers "Fuc*ing idiots". We are a military family and my father has been to Iraq 3times and Afghanistan once. The name Calling and cussing of our military heroes really did not represent Walmart well at all.
