Unable to return items that I purchased today because customer service area is closed due to "glitches" in system and nobody in the store is trained to do returns. I was told this morning that customer service is open until 10 PM so it appears they decided to close early. I am invited to return tomorrow at 7 AM but there is no guarantee they will be able to accept return. As an addendum I was given the phone number for the store manager Nikki. 770-418-0162. This is just the general store phone number with no operator and no extension for the manager and no voicemail. The platinum American Express says they have refund protection and will credit the money spent if the store is not able to make a return during normal business hours. Hooray! read more

I have never before given a Walmart store five stars. Normally the only thing lacking at Walmart is customer service. Today is perhaps one of the best experiences I have ever had at a Walmart. If every Walmart employee emulated the exceptional customer service I received from Shannon in the Pharmacy and Anthony in the Garden Center, I can almost guarantee you that sales would increase exponentially and the investors would have a grin from ear to ear. The boxes that I shipped arrived in horrible condition thanks to the inept muthafucks at the U.S Postal Service. My printer was broken, the box was leaking magnets and I had other peeps mail inside my box. W T F! I was really pissed, the night was way too young for me to sit around angry and since I haven't had a drink or smoke since I left California, I needed to do something. I called this Wal-Mart to see what time they closed and the operator said that they were open 24 hours. OMG! A 24 hour Wal-Mart Super Store. I squealed like a caught piglet. I made a list, grabbed my purse and headed out. On the way there I thought that someone needed to kick my ass for staying in Long Beach too long. I arrived at Wal-mart and was pleased to see everything that the Wal-Mart in SoCal had discontinued. They had a fabric department, a great craft section. I finally got some Armour All for the ride. They had BOXES to replace he ones that the Postal Service fucked up. And they had a produce section and Deli. Wal-Mart with a deli. How do ya like that!! I got all that I needed and some things that I didn't. I even got a temporary replacement printer for 40 bucks! I felt better when I got back and installed my printer. If this keeps up, I'm never coming back to California to live. read more

As a new resident to the Duluth area, I must concur with most of the other reviews for this Walmart. It is, hands down, the worst Walmart that I have ever visited. Unfortunately for me, it's also the closest to my house now, so it's the one I go to purely based on convenience. The first problem you face, even before you can park, is that there seems to be only one entrance to the parking lot from Pleasant Hill Road. You have to sit patiently in your car and wait as customers walk from the store their cars (and vice versa) before you can even park. Eek. As soon as you grab your shopping cart and enter the store, you will notice the terrible layout. The aisles are SO narrow that often times, you have to wait for someone to pass through with their cart before you can push your cart through. Ughhh... And it's been crowded every time I've visited, so I felt like the majority of my time there was spent waiting for other people to pass before I could get to an aisle. They are frequently out of stock of certain items. I've also noticed that prices are somewhat higher than the Walmart stores up in Buford, but I guess that could just be related to the location of the store. Boo. Don't expect to zip in and out of this Walmart quickly because checkout lines take forever to move. Self checkout is available, but people are slow at checking out. I saw one couple let their child scan their items, which obviously dragged the process out longer than necessary. If you're hungry before or after shopping, there's a Subway inside the Walmart near the entrance. Although I haven't eaten there myself, I'm sure it's nothing more than a standard Subway. Overall, this Walmart gets 2 stars because although I have experienced much better at other Walmart stores, this one is the closest to my house now. I feel like I have no choice but to go to this Walmart for certain toiletries and personal items, unless I decide to shop at one closer to my workplace in Buckhead. I wish I could give negative stars. I went to the store to pick up online order as this was the only store with available pick up for this item. I asked the greeter at the door where to go to pick up online order. He told me I needed to go to the Customer Service. There was a long line and only one person was at the Customer Service. I asked the customer service person where to go to pick up the online order. She yelled at me to get back in line. So I did. After 15 minutes standing in line, when it was my turn, she said "Go to the Orange Tower" pointing to her right. She could have just told me to go to the Orange Tower, but instead had me wait in line for 15 minutes. After picking up the item, I took a picture of this woman at the customer service as she screamed at me. Her name tag said Amy, Team Leader. As I was walking out, I asked the greeter why he didn't just tell me where the pick up area was instead of sending me to the customer service, as he can see the long line from where he stood. His response was " You should be happy. You didn't die. You are alive, so what's the problem?" Then he got very angry as I told him he had waisted my time by not directing me to the right place. Sometimes I have to wonder where the heck is the common sense & why these people are being paid for the job they don't do well at all. None of these jobs require a great set of skills anyway. Before moving to Atlanta, I never had a problem with Walmarts... But now I avoid this hell-hole like the plague. This is the worst Walmart I've ever been to, which is disappointing because of its convenient location. At max, I've only ever seen two lines open (not counting self checkout) so if you get behind a coupon-er you're screwed. Never go if you're in a hurry. DO NOT go after dark, I've had a bad experience almost every time coming out of the store and being followed to my car. And I've never seen any security... If this Walmart could get its act together, I would not be opposed to the store. They seem well stocked, the produce seems decent, and I like their nursery section in the spring, and of course their prices are good...even the few times I've dared to enter the bathroom, it's been clean and well kept. But this Walmart needs to make some serious changes to keep me coming back. read more

It's about time I wrote a review for this place, since I think I'm the Dutchess. What is up with this Walmart having so many bad reviews? I come here on a weekly basis, to stock up on items that are either unavailable or overpriced at the Asian markets. I have never had a problem here and can always find whatever I need. The service is just like most other Walmart locations, with maybe the exception that this one is much busier than some other ones in really nice suburbs (like the one I visited on Windward Pkwy. in Alpharetta). This makes sense, as uppity/educated people frown on this necessary/unnecessary evil behemoth. It may or may not be the best move in furthering our economy and supporting local businesses, but money talks! I save money by getting milk, yogurt, cheese, bread, and some other everyday items here--so I do just that. The one thing that bothers me is that not all the self-checkout registers are in working order at all times. So when I want to run in and out (which is really difficult to do, depending on the day/time that you come), the heavy traffic foils my plans for a rapid departure. Oh well. Luckily, I enjoy grocery shopping (anywhere, at Walmart or Whole Foods) and bf can always wander back to the electronics department and rip the controls for Wii out of some poor kid's hands to pass the time (totally joking!). My frequent trips here indicate that I don't hate it as much as some others who come here. read more

Can't expect much from a WalMart. That being said, I was surprised by the variety of apples they carry. Visited around 10pm so they were restocking there. Was approached by a random person soliciting for donations in the bread aisle, which is probably illegal. Other stuff I noticed is there was no price tag for the iPad Air on display, only pricing for iPad Mini. Another humorous incident was finding Target stickers on some of the books. Overall, got what I needed at a low price. Came in for water filters which are $3 cheaper than at the local Home Depot. This WalMart does indeed have everything you need. read more

Recently WalMart had a sale on the Keurig K425 and K525 and the price was down to $109 and $139 respectively. I didn't have the money to purchase a that time so I had to wait. While I was waiting the prices went back to the regular $139 for the K425 and $169 for the K525. I spoke with the supervisor and they said sometimes the store has a sale but the website doesn't reflect that sale and other times the website has the sale and the stores to not have in-store. Last Friday I went to check in the store. The K425 was back on Rollback price of $109 and the K525 was $145. I didn't think spending $40 more to get 10 ounces more of water capacity and a few electronic tweaks I would never use I decided to purchase the K425. Very happy with it and happy that WalMart did well. I went to online purchase sources and the average price for a K425 new is around $200 and for used ones it is around $175 so I got a great deal. I've been to this Walmart many times over the course of 12 months, employees can really put a bad reputation on a business because the employees are the face of the business. In this case, as expected this Walmart is crowded because of the location, customers find it more convenient to go to a business that is close to them; despite on how crowded it is or traffic hassle. The entry and exit points to the business parking lot are products of a poor design, Pleasant Hill itself is a heavy traffic road way; combined with Walmart entry and exit points not a good strategy. The community has grown in the last 5 years and people from all over are moving into these communities decreasing the space on road ways. Even back roads are becoming more crowded. This is like any other Walmart I've been to...well.. except the fact that everything in here seems to be scrunched together and the shopping spaces aren't very wide. As I walked inside, I felt as if I was going to bump into someone or someone's going to say 'excuse me'.. which did happen! This lady was getting her grocceries and could not squeeze in between me and the racks of clothes behind me. Oh well. Whoever designed this lack of space needs to have a 'slap' in the face! But the groccery aisle seems to be pretty wide. Much better than the clothing section! Anyways, I didn't come here for clothes shopping but some food for the house. I bought some strawberry jello for $1.08 cheaper than Kroger. The Minute Maid Peach juice and Watermelon juice were a dollar each.. can't beat that! I've never tried Watermelon juice from Minute Maid before.. so I was excited to see that they had it! The Hamburger Helper were $1.25 each!! Oh my gosh! Awesome! And some other grocceries I needed for the house. The staff were 'ok' but they weren't 'friendly' as the Hamiliton Mill/Buford location. The parking space seems like it's so far away from the building.. or maybe it's the heat that was getting to me. I don't know what it was.. but it was so hot today that I felt like a lazy blob that wanted everything to be closer for me to just 'ZIP' in there. I don't understand why this Walmart has such bad reviews. Granted, I'm new to Duluth, but every experience that I've had at this store has been a good one. I moved to GA from NJ two months ago and had my basic furniture and appliances shipped to the Supercenter before moving. Everything that I had ordered was there and the associates were pleasant. When I had to make returns, they didn't give me a hard time. I was given all of my money back or allowed to exchange things, no questions asked. When I first arrived to GA, I found that one of my tires had a slow leak. I parked my car in their auto center, went shopping, came back, and the tire was changed. The associate taking care of us (Bianca, I think) was pleasant, but not really professional, complaining about her work day. She did take very good care of us, though. Since then, I've done part of my grocery shopping at Walmart every week. It, naturally, has everything and it's very close to my home. The worst part, I would say, is the wait time on line at night. Only go and pick things up after 6:00pm if you have some time to kill. Everyone seems to do their major purchases at that time. And there are two entrances to the parking lot (don't know why people are saying differently): one off of N. Berkley Lake Rd. and the other right across from Shorty Howell Park. read more

OOH GIRL! YOU LOOK GOOD! It has been a while since I visited this Walmart simply because it was just a hot mess, disorganized, dirty and just not okay. As soon as we pulled up to the east end of the store, noticed that the store had been painted. Good job! Noted. Next, I noticed that the rear door was opened which we so appreciate during busy times. We tend to enter and exit by this door so that we can avoid the long lines at the front registers. We enter the store and the tone was set by the friendly shoppers and employees. As we browsed the store, I was very pleased to see that the store had undergone a makeover! Yes!! It was sorely needed! During our visit, the store appeared clean and organized. I love the new more functional lay out. We were able to find everything we needed and made a quick exit through the rear of the store since the store was well staffed. Thanks Walmart! read more

This is a super Walmart, which means has a garden center, a tire center, a home section, a pharmacy, and of course, the grocery and bakery. This particular location is clean, neat, and has plenty of parking. You can enter it from the Howell Mill Park intersection or the Racetrac gas station intersection. I rarely come here planning for a quick shopping session. Reason 1: there's so much stuff that you end up grabbing more than what you need. Reason 2: the whole process of parking, walking inside, finding your item, and checking out is a mini journey. Sometimes I'll go across the street to Aldi because the overall distance of parking lot to checkout is so much faster. Their bakery is not that great, but prices on canned products and other stuff seem decent. I like to use the self checkout because sometimes it's faster. Unfortunately, one of the self checkouts usually has some sort of issue. Inside this Walmart is also a Subway, bank, vision center, money center, nail salon, and hair salon. It's like a mini world where you can get a bunch of errands done.. is that why Walmart's nickname is Wally World? read more

At a visit to the store: Walmart Supercenter #2154, 2635 Pleasant Hill Rd, Duluth, GA on 09/07/2020 at around ~ 6-7 PM est, we were picking up school supplies with a tax exempt form. We went to Customer Service as we knew this is an unusual process for cashiers. There were two ladies working the counter. After waiting about 15 minutes for the clerk to finish with a customer ahead of us, they turned out the lights to the area as it seemed they were closing. They still addressed us, however when we asked about using the tax exempt form we were told that only one person in the store knows how to do the process and they only do it on Tuesdays, which is absolutely blasphemy. I asked if there was a manager on duty we could confirm this with and one of the ladies told us she was the manager, leaving us with no options. With a background in retail I am familiar with how register systems work and the tax exempt process and even suggested that this should be built into the POS, but was told they can only do it Tuesday's with no effort or attempt to try. We then decided to try a cashier instead, as this seemed fishy that you could only use tax exempt on one day out of the week, and to our pleasant surprise the clerk at the self checkout line was able to assist us with the help of one of his managers, with no issues!!!! I didn't get the name of the ladies working the customer service desk but I am appalled at the blatant lying that took place during this visit. Not only did they lie to us about using a tax exempt form, I question the integrity of the person posing as a manager on duty. After waiting patiently and spending the time to shop at this store, lying about this and leaving us empty handed because they didn't want to even try shows a complete lack of motivation and work ethic, as well as integrity. I failed to get the names of the two people that helped us in the regular self-checkout line, but they saved the day and went above and beyond and deserve recognition. One of the guys was a younger male and the manager came to assist even though she voiced she was in the middle of an audit. The male cashier working self-checkout had a great attitude despite being extremely busy during this time, as well as his manager who came to help. I hope this gets to who it needs to and can be addressed at the store level because for two customer service associates to provide that disregarding level of service is completely unacceptable. read more

I went to this particular store last Saturday, Aug 26th with my roommate, we picked up few basic stuff and then decided to get some beers. When we finally got to the cashier, after a 15-minute line, she was very rude to say the least and she asked for us to show an ID for the beers... My roommate is 50yo, I'm 35 and believe me when I say that neither of us can pass as 21 or younger. Then she pointed at a sign they have (didn't even took the time to explain herself) where it said that people of up to 40yo would be carded to get alcoholic beverages. We then proceeded to show our ID's, but then she said she couldn't accept mine as a valid ID, as it was from El Salvador (I'm just visiting for a few months). My roommate's ID was a valid US ID though, and yet she refused estating that because we were together, and since I couldn't show a valid US ID, then they couldn't sell us the beers!!! I mean, c'mon! Are you serious!!?? That's a stupid policy, and doesn't make any sense. She said that I needed to show my password if I didn't have a US ID.... well, guess what? My password is issued by El Salvador's govementment, so what's the difference between that and my Salvadorean ID?? Besides, if my roommate had a valid ID, then why not sell the beers to him?? We had her call her manager who was less than helpful, didn't bother to apologize and instead just stuck to her girlfriend with an attitude, and said that they need to card all members of a group, to which I asked that in the scenario that a father comes with his 20yo son, and he wants to get some beers, does that mean that he won't be able to because he brought his son with him??? To which I got no reply except the typical generic answer 'these are not my rules, these are the store's rules'... That's just stupid. Completely killed the good mood with had and I don't think I'd be going back to this store EVER!!! P.S. We then just drove to a Publix and got the beers with no issues at all, and I dare to say, cheaper. read more

This is horrible customer service ever. When I get there around Jan-15-2015 23:50. They have a keychain bending machine but it just took a money without product comes out. Also, manager(? She was doing collect money from the selfcheckout station) told me they can't help me anything I have to call to bending machine company. She told me phone number is side of bending machine but nothing on there. I was asked again and check around bending machine again. Finally I asked her help me find phone number. But she don't want it. So, I just lost money there. Also 2 days ago me and my daughter try to get keychain two times, but it was not workinkg too. Money is no problem. Typical WalMart...not good...... A girl inside was riding a bicycle and almost decapitated me....I went to complain to a cashier who did not care and she said there was no one she could call about the incident. Now, A big negative : No One There Washes Hands so the entire store is contaminated by personal hygene emitted micro organisms: YES...this is an issue for a place selling food.....from the Men's Room....hot water never comes out....automatic water faucets gives a small fraction of the water to wash and completely sanitize hands and so does the automatic soap dispenser. Walmart just cares about not spending money on water...cares not about the spread of germs out of the restrooms. WATER IS CHEAP...WalMart is cheaper.....and dirty dirty dirty. , Do not touch anything ! Health departmants require 130 degree hand washing water for at least 20 seconds....how can 4 seconds of room temp water clean germs ! Another biggie: Employees not trained....I got spoiled chicken tenders that an employee found on a shelf in an isle somewhere out of temp and it was expired because a typical WalMart employee took it back to the meat case for resale.....shame on me.....should have gone to Aldi. read more
