My favorite Walgreens stores in the area are probably still the ones off Jimmy Carter in Norcross for meds and the one off Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker for the random deals and general emptiness when I go in. I've never been to this one until last month, when my hubby needed a COVID test to return to work. We scheduled ahead of time online but were running super late as I had just got off work and was already fighting traffic - add an accident to that and we were really behind. I called before even leaving our apartment, letting them know the situation. I can't speak on the retail staff, but the pharmacy staff was really nice and said they would still take us when we got there with an ETA of about 10-15 minutes. When we arrived, unfortunately, we ended up stuck in the drive-thru line behind about ten cars or so. We decided to just wait it out and see if they would still take us. We would've just gone inside if it was for anything other than a COVID test. By the time we got up to the front, it had to have been about 5:30. So we were like 45 minutes late or so at this point, as opposed to the projected (already late) time of 5:00. The gentleman who greeted us at the drive-thru counter behind the glass was not going to accept us at first. Thankfully after explaining that we called ahead and were stuck behind an accident and stuck in the pharmacy line, he and his co-workers decided to still help us and process my hubby's test that evening. We were so thankful, considering they didn't have to. From there the rest went smoothly. My hubby self-administered the rapid molecular ID now test and got his results in less than an hour, very quickly (and thankfully, negative!) The results were emailed to us without issue, just like the other locations do. We have no complaints with this Walgreens as a test site and were very thankful for the compassionate staff that still got us in, so my hubby could get back to work. We would come here again for testing if need be and recommend it to you if you need one and are in the area. So far Walgreens as a whole has been my favorite business to COVID test with as the process is generally smooth and results are quick! read more

I stopped in at this Walgreens after the holidays to see what type of merchandise was on clearance. I picked out different holiday items and a few toys. When I went up to the register, I asked the cashier, Cheryl, if she could check the prices for me. She told me she already knew the prices and didn't need to scan them. Shen then started quoting me different prices for each item. Rather than checking the prices, she simply started ringing up all the merchandise. None of the items came up at the prices she quoted to me earlier. She never apologized for the mistake. Instead, she rudely asked if I wanted the items or not. Later I brought up a remote control car. I had purchased a similar car at another Walgreens on clearance. When Cheryl scanned the toy, it came up regular price. Therefore, this Walgreens had not marked down the toys after the holidays like other stores. Based upon how rude and unfriendly Cheryl was, I won't be coming back to this Walgreens. read more

On 12/15/22 I had a dilemma. I was to play Santa Claus at my son's school within an hour and could not locate my beard. I went to cosmetic counter but knew nothing about cosmetics. Yelena was there to help find a solution to get my black beard white. She not only grabbed a bottle of Joy brite spray color but helped apply it for me and saved the day. Not sure if this employee celebrates Christmas but that didn't matter to Yelena. My issue is that i did not like the flow of the store compared to other stores I visit. I spent a long time trying to find things that one would think would be grouped together. I'm from out of town with my sister she is having surgery. I needed to get her prescriptions filled. I tried cvs they didn't have the medication we needed for a few days. I came here to Walgreens. The pharmacy opened up promptly at 7. They had the medication. The pharmacist was very helpful and super nice. The prescription was complete in about 15 minutes and I was out of there. I will never shop at this store or Walgreen's again!!!!! Imagine going to a store and because you may have more than 3 transactions, being asked to get out of line, to go to the back of the line. This was my experience. Now I have pre-paid cards that I use to shop online. This necessitates me to go and load cash to those cards. I had 5 cards to load money onto, I was also going to make a purchase of at least $40. When I got in line there was no one behind me. The cashier did not look happy to be working, but I advised him of what I wanted to accomplish. While assisting me a few more customers joined the line and after a few minutes the manager came over and opened a register to assist the overflow customers. After processing my 3rd card reload, the cashier told me I had to get out of line and get back in line. I was astonished, I advised him you are waiting on me, why do I have to get out of line and go to the end of the line? He advised, because I had more than 3 transactions, their policy was to have the customer step out of line, go to the end of the line so the other customers in line could be helped. I almost fell out! I asked to see the manager and he was the one that had opened a second register. Now, I had spoken to him earlier, I recognized him from previous visits. Regrettably, I don't remember his name. But, he confirmed that was the policy. I was utterly shocked!!! As I was exiting the store, I was already calling customer service. I spoke to an associate named, Jane. She was a pleasure to speak with after my atrocious treatment in the store. I think she was a little taken aback by my description of my store experience. Just a phone call. It doesn't take much to have kindness over the phone. More training at this store may be needed. Employees tend to be curt and rushed in store but I could feel the horrible attitude over the phone, maybe it was an off day or they were just too busy to care but don't work in a caregiving/customer serving position if you aren't a serving or caring person. read more

I've been a fan of Walgreens for years. I prefer them over CVS. This Walgreens is near me so I like the fact that it takes me no time to get here. The store is fairly clean and everything is accessible to find. The one thing that I dislike is the fact they may have 4 or 5 people working there but only have 1 cashier. This causes the main line too be long and its rather annoying when you are in a rush. Some of the cashiers just seem "blah" as if they do not want to be there and this could be because they are the only one at the cash register with no assistance. I must say the guy who currently works in the photo lab (forgot his name) he was very friendly and helpful. He smiles at you and assist you with making sure your photos come out lovely. His customer service was outstanding and I wish more of the workers possess that. My only suggestion is that they hire more people to accomodate the number of consumers that shop here ESPECIALLY because its in a busy area. read more

This pharmacy has become the Soup Nazi of prescription retrieval ... They gladly accept your doctor's prescription, but getting them back --- filled and correct --- is like an Act of Congress (and you know how "they" work). This is hands down the worse pharmacy around. The pharmacist's English was so bad and her understanding my English was worse. I had a 6 month prescription and was trying to get my 3 rd month refilled. She kept telling me I needed to call my dr, well that's what I think she was trying to say. I called the dr twice that day and they could not understand what she needed. I finally told them that I was moving my business to Kroger. There's a lot to love and appreciate about this pharmacy... there's also a lot to loathe. The drive-thru is one of those loathesome aspects. It's two lanes, but the outer lane is perputually closed and marked as out of order. I've been coming here since October and it's never been open. Otherwise I like the store. Compared to the 24 hour location I use in Midtown it's immaculate. The layout is a little dated and they definitely overuse mirrors as decoration (or as a survelliance tool). They're busy. I've been going to this pharmacy for 3 years, I've never had issues until this past year. Every time I need to pick up a prescription, they lost the script, their system is down, they won't honor a doctor's coupon, or "that'll be an hour wait" but if you stand in the lobby and stare at them they'll give it to you in 10 min. Seriously thinking about moving my prescription to Publix across the street. My husband NEVER has issues with Publix, and I'm tired of the hassle. Open 24 hours, very quick perscription fill. Pharmacy staff is always helpful and greet you by name once they get to know you. They went out if their way to replace nearly a dozen prescription medications after my twin three year olds decided to fill up the sink with them and fill it up with water. Some of them had no refills left, but the pharmacist did an emergency refill. Store staff is pretty friendly. We were VERY sad to have to change when our insurance stopped authorizing Walgreens. read more

Not impressed with their service. First of all, why are you open 24 hours, yet the Pharmacy is closed? I drove 20 min out the way for nothing. Then, I wanted to buy a robe and the box was busted up in the back. I asked her to tape it up. The store clerk said she didn't have any in the whole store. I asked her to get some from the shelves. She claimed she couldn't knowing I see other stores do it, Big Lots, Walmart, Kroger. Then she brings packing tape. Which I would be embarrassed to hand someone a Xmas gift all busted in the back with packing tape all over, but three well placed pieces of Scotch tape would have salvaged it. Then, I asked for a discount on the damaged box. The manager said no and said she just wouldn't sell it. Ok. Great Customer Service. I made my purchases and spent $46 btw but left the damaged item behind. I just feel the staff offered a poor resolution and didn't see to be bothered about selling the item. Won't be back. Out of all the Walgreens in town, this is by far the best one! In addition to it being very close to my house, the cashiers/employees are always so nice and attentive. Whether i'm running in to grab something quick, or getting 10+ items, they always make sure that i'm completely taken care of. Also, all of their products are always fully stocked, therefore I can always find what I need. However, any time that they don't have what i'm looking for the employees are always empathetic and willing to find another solution, none of my demands are to high for them. It's important to find a neighborhood store, like Walgreens, that is hassle free and always a good experience. I appreciate everyone's, from the cashiers to the managers, eagerness to make sure all of their customers are satisfied. read more

I'm from the Columbus, GA area and have always filled my prescriptions with CVS. After multiple issues trying to get some controlled ones filled, a pharmacist at this one saw prior refills from Columbus and was happy to help. He called and confirmed and quickly filled for me on a Sunday. I have now come back twice due to CVS problems and will remain with Walgreen's due to the care and fast response of the pharmacy team here. Thank you! read more

this place is absolutely the worst pharmacy i have ever been in. it is convenient to the house , but the rude service tonight i will be moving my service across the street. i have 5 prescriptions , they were all written at the same time , every year. walgreens has an issue with getting them to me at the same time , these are the people that are filling our orders and can not manage a simple calendar. dear management, please work on your employees people skills as well as their ability to read and understand a calendar. read more

Unfortunately, I cannot give this location -5 stars, or I would. I hate to give it even one, but that is the lowest option available. I have been a customer of this Walgreens store since it opened a number of years ago. The past couple of years, however, have been challenging. While I concur with the comments from others regarding not enough cashier staff, my experience with the cashiers is that they are typically friendly and helpful. My problem is with the pharmacy itself and the managers in the store. Customer service and competence in the pharmacy is atrocious. It is very difficult to get service there--and when you do, it is substandard. For example, the pharmacist I spoke with last weekend could not answer even rudimentary questions without researching them on her smartphone. (Their primary goal seems to be selling vaccines. She was more interested in trying to convince me to get a shingles vaccine once my case of shingles goes into remission than she was trying to help me deal with the present symptoms--but if she really knew anything about shingles, she would know that after having an outbreak a person has an extremely low likelihood of another outbreak for 9-10 years, after which that person's chances go back to the same level as prior to the first outbreak; in other words, someone who has never had shingles. Why would I get a vaccine for something I now have an extremely low chance of getting for several years? It's all about the money.) When I asked her if there was anything topical I could use to help the symptoms, she stuttered, then quickly said, "no." (Not true. I came home and within only a minute or so of Internet searching found that Caladryl is very effective. I tried it and it definitely helped. A pharmacist with even a moderate level of competence should have known that.) Oftentimes it is difficult to get service in the pharmacy. In the past I have even had to engage a store manager because I could not get help, and have driven off from the drive-thru window more times than I can count after sitting there for 10 minutes without anyone even acknowledging my presence. So why did I keep returning? That is the million dollar question. I wish I had not. We just had a prescribing snafu and I wound up with a prescription that I am allergic to. $106.99 for a generic eye drop to treat shingles and I can't even use it. Walgreens did not offer counseling or ask if I had any questions when I picked it up at the drive-thru window (although that is required UNDER LAW), and because there was a car waiting in line behind me I didn't take the time to look closely at it but instead drove off trying to be courteous to the person waiting behind me. That gesture of courtesy resulted in Walgreens refusing to take the prescription back or refund my money. I am still working through the Corporate Office to see if I can get this resolved but I am not optimistic. The store manager and pharmacy manager are both refusing to even consider working with me on this, although the store manager admitted to me on the telephone yesterday that he could resolve it. When I spoke with the pharmacy manager earlier today, I could hear the store manager in the background coaching her. Apparently, $106.99 is more important than their reputation and a customer who has been with them for many, many years. Not another dime will go to Walgreens from this household. The entire organization has lost much more than $106.99. There is too much competition in the Peachtree Corners area for me (or anyone else, for that matter) to continue putting up with this level of incompetence and lack of service. The problem is not with the inside of the store or with the employees but the parking lot is filthy. There is trash all over the place. I had to change my parking space because I didn't want to step out onto trash and cigarette butts. I don't know why management let's things get this bad but they really need to clean up and make it feel like a nice welcoming place that people want to go too. read more

I mostly use this store for the photo lab because they are open 24 hours which (previously) made it very convenient. More recently I have placed a photo order at midnight which should have been (easily) ready by 10am and when I show up the print was never made, or missing, or done incorrectly, or obviously poor quality but not checked. Honestly, all of these things happened in a 2 week period last month! Silly me, I tried again today and the same thing happened. The poster should have been ready at 2:30am. I show up at 7:30 PM - it's not there. They ask ME if I ever got a confirmation (I did, but I wasn't sure until I checked my junk mail). They offer to reprint and give me a discount. OK, but I've already been there 10 minutes waiting for them to help someone else (without even acknowledging me) and then looking for my item. All in all, I waited over 30 minutes and still left without my poster - not because my reprint wasn't ready, but because I was not IN LINE and other folks were now IN LINE ahead of me. Silly me for wanting to walk around and also use the bathroom. Please note: I didn't actually use the bathroom because it was too gross to use. I left without getting my print (and purchasing a second item) because I was so frustrated. This Walgreens not only has weird customer service in the photo lab, they also don't maintain their machines so the quality of your prints and other photo items are iffy. It's very disappointing. You think you are getting one thing, but you show up to pick it up (IF IT'S THERE!) and you get another. I am not certain if I will boycott Walgreens entirely but it's looking more and more like it unless I find one that I am SURE has a QUALITY photo lab. And I agree with what other folks posted about not enough cashiers. That was the main problem....and the girl didn't care that folks were standing there. She just slowly did her thing.
