It took me around 10 minutes for an employee to help me, I had asked this lady who was staring directly at me and she walked past me to talk to her coworkers. Great experience getting a car battery here today for a family member. I came to Denton today because I had a family member stranded at home and needed a car battery pronto. This automotive center is super busy but fortunately also very efficient. They actually have service writers working the lanes for service. Very efficient! read more

I went to this Walmart and a guy with a grey shirt on came up and said I didn't look like I needed to use a disability kart. I use one because I have a leg injury. Terrible store. Out of stock on a lot of items. Grocery carts over flowing in the corrals in the parking lot. Hardly any clean (without trash) buggies inside. Had to walk across the entire produce section for produce bags none near peppers/salads /tomatoes. At risk of sounding like an old fogey, I remember when this was the NEW Walmart, the only Supercenter in town and surrounded by fields and trees. My mom took me here on opening day and my brother's and we all got to buy a $5 Kenner Star Wars figure (I got Hoth Han Solo). I digress. The place looked so huge and new, like a wonderland or a space station. I shopped here my younger years until about college. That's when it started getting really run-down. I started frequenting the cleaner, friendlier, and safer Walmart in Hickory Creek instead, and then they made the other newer Walmart on University Drive. Now the Loop 288 Walmart is the "shady Walmart." In more recent years a trip here after dark has regularly included someone following me to my car asking for money, or various other shady parking lot interactions. I would skip this Walmart and go to one of the several others in the area. Or, just go to Target! If you're going after dark, DEFINITELY go with Target. read more

I waited in line for over 35 minutes at the Walmart on 288 in Denton. There was at least 30 other people waiting in line with me ready for checkout. They only had two cash registers open as well as the self-serve on the ends, but not the rest of the self-serve. I have used Walmart+ for deliveries for several months because of my health. Today, my order was to be delivered between 10-11. After waiting outside my garage door (specific instructions on my acct) for over an hour, I called the store several times only to not have my call answered. I drove to the store on Loop 288, Denton, TX, and waited 45 minutes for someone to tell me that the driver said he couldn't find my place but didn't return the order and wouldn't answer his phone. They could not fill my order today because they were busy and he said that I could call and get a refund in 5 days. So, you had my money, $227.00, and someone had my groceries. There were two amounts refunded to me for items that were unavailable today so I know that it can be done. The customer service rep. at walmart.com told me that this was my bank's fault but if you already pushed two refunds through, my bank has nothing to do with it. That was two weeks of groceries for us? I don't get paid for another two weeks. What do you recommend we do for five days? If this was the first time I had trouble with orders, I wouldn't post this but it isn't. I am sure that $227.00 dollars is nothing for a big company like you but for a single-working mom who paid rent, bills, and then groceries, it's a lot. I found a item tag in a lock up case that was the wrong price. The associate in the dept would not match the price and only offered 10% off the item. I then asked to speak to the manager who also only offered to give me item for only $70 which the item was originally $115 and said that I could take it or leave it ... which is not it even 50% off. I went to get an oil change done on my vehicle thought I'll be saving some time out of my day going here instead of The Kia Dealership, long and behold I was completely wrong and extremely unsatisfied with the service. I checked my vehicle in at 1:21pm and waited around till 2:50, to find out my car was done at 1:50pm. Nobody informed me, nor did they call my name on the intercom like they instructed they would. I happen to walk back up to the counter and ask them what was the hold up with my vehicle, how much longer? Just to find out it was done a whole hour before. Then had the nerve to charge me full price still and inform me that the store manager was unavailable to speak with. When I say the customer service here is terrible and I would not be back. All the department manner could say was he apology. There is no need to apologize for something that shouldn't have happen from the beginning. The employees at Walmart should be retrained and a lot of them need to be fired. It's people out here willing to work and get the job done, instead of having lazy workers up there just standing around. I know people don't really read these because, well, it's Walmart and Walmart is a craptastic place. Today, July 23, 2016, there was a spill near the entrance of the grocery side, next to a bunch of water bottles. I walked in wearing flip flops and slipped on that spill with my right foot and landed on my left knee. That's over 100lbs of force on that bone. The fall broke my skin and instantly swelled up my knee entirely. I limped over to the woman at self checkout who has blue eyes and dark blonde hair, maybe in her 40s, and told her there was a spill. She said "where is it?" DIDN'T even bother to ask me if I was okay or if I needed anything. When I told her where it was she said (and I quote) "It's still there??" WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL After standing there watching her put signs around it (NOT clean it up) she still didn't ask me if I was okay. I have a photo attached of how my knee looked and when I finally checked out about 15min later, limping around the store and fighting back tears (because it REALLY hurt.) she came up to me and said "you left before I could ask, but are you okay?" WHAT THE HELL that should've been the FIRST thing you ask someone when they come up to you and say "I fell." After checking out, the self checkout employee called over a different employee and said "so you know that spill you cleaned up, she just slipped and fell" WHAT THE HELL AGAIN are these employees complete idiots?? Who leaves a spill after being told about it!!! ALSO the manager walks over finally and says "do you need anything? Because you'd have to fill out paperwork if you do" Just. Utter. B.S. This is a horrible Wal-Mart. I like the one in Plano, much nicer, informative, helpful even when calling the store. I feel like every time I go here for something, they do a horrible half-a** job at it and I'm just disappointed. I went here to get my oil change on my car....they OVER filled my oil tank, they did not clean off the pan once finished...so I thought I was leaking oil for the whole night. I had to drive to ANOTHER Wal-Mart, out of my way, because of it (and I was no where near Wal-Mart in Denton). I was treated with more respect and quite informative there, than at the Wal-mart in Denton. I hate going to Wal-Mart here now. Just too dirty, nothing in stock, customer service is rude. I feel people are just going through the motions of their job there and don't care about helping at all. I rather go to Target, than Wal-Mart. Affordability? I don't know. I actually took the time to compare Christmas trees during Christmas, and realized Wal-Mart was more expensive than Home Depot. I got the tree of my dreams (tall/large) at Home Depot at a cheaper price than Wal-Mart. Yeah so now I price compare when I go to Wal-Mart, not to mention quality compare. read more

Usually has a pretty good selection. The employees are, for the most part, very helpful. If you're going thursday-saturday between 8-10 am just know that the shelves can get a little bare. I've gone during that period several times and had to ask emploees to get things from the back. And to their credit, they always did, very quickly. The cashiers are always polite and helpful (including when a bag of sugar ruptured and one ran to get me another one, which was so kind). My only complaints are that they do not fix their carts (which can have major problems), they often don't have more than four registers staffed before noon so most customers end up going to self-scan, the people they let set up tables to sell cable are aggressive, and there is often a man just outside the parking lot (close to Panera Bread) who yells about God for hours on end. read more

I was driving down a road under construction and my tire got a corner off rubber pierced therefore this prompted me to visit Walmart autocare closest to Home to be turned immediately away saying they don't carry my tires to go to discount tire instead as she proceeded to go inside. Didn't bother actually checking just simply "no". This prompted me to drive away wondering why I went there in the first place and I remembered. That's where I had bought my last full prides set. Mind you it was an emergency and even if not there this day she could have ordered it or told me which location could help. This prompted me to have to wait until the next day to go to the Walmart In hickory creek tx and be told I have to specially order it they do carry it. I therefore order and has a even greater bigger issue in their store. They promote they close 7 pm and when I showed up it was 5:40 and I called the store number to tell me they had no licensed technician for the rest of the day and that they had to close at 4 instead. When I called to check if my tire was there it was 2 pm my job would have let me be off sooner because it was an emergency if it could wait. This store is a disgrace! The local Walmart here began selling Betta fish just before school started. I stopped in today for a few supplies and found the Bettas in such pitifull shape. Their water is so dirty it stinks and some so bad you can barely see the fish inside. One bowls' inhabitant was dead, as the rest soon will be, if this doesn't change. And, surprise, surprise, not a single employee in site. Not only should the department manager over pets be fired but so should the store manager,who probably has no clue about any of this. The thrift giant next-door is cleaner, more organized and the Bible thumping guy on the corner of their parking lot, who sits outside all day with the blow horn (that needs battery's, someone should help him out) seems cleaner than the associates that are in the establishment. Don't even worry about buying anything in that store, just order it from walmart.com and get them to refund you and tell you to keep the item. I've got thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that they have told me to keep and refunded. It's not that difficult. Get free items, plus avoid the filth. When it comes to retail and food business, I'm usually the most non confrontational customer you will ever have. I have a very high tolerance for any kind of inconvenience, but I will never go to the automotive section of this Walmart again. I bought 4 new tires for my car at 2:30 pm, and didn't leave the store until around 7:15. I found out that for about 2 hours of that, every person working on tires decided to leave the garage and assumed another person would stay. Then when the nearly 5 hours had passed on a normally 2 hour procedure, I went to pay and the employee at the counter quoted me nearly 115 dollars less than what it actually ended up costing. And to top it all off, they are very very rude and act like they would rather not have your business. Never again read more
