I went to the Scan & Go checkout area and was told by the associate that the area was only for Spark drivers and that I had to get in the regular self-checkout line. There was literally no one waiting in the Scan & Go area, yet I still had to stand in the regular self-checkout line. At every other Walmart I've visited, I've been able to use the designated Scan & Go checkout with my Walmart+ membership alongside Spark drivers without an issue. If this location does not allow Walmart+ members to use that area, they need to make that policy clear. Otherwise, what is the benefit of using Scan & Go if I still have to wait in the same checkout line as everyone else? This completely defeats the convenience I'm paying for with Walmart+. Very disappointing experience, and I won't be choosing this location when I have other Walmart locations available.

But I also didn't realize this location closed at 10 until I heard they announced they'd be closing soon. I rushed around to grab my last items and headed to the front to check out (it was 10:10-10:15 pm) and they said, "I'm sorry, but we're closed." They wouldn't check me out. What? Why did no one come say anything to me or usher me to the front? Is this Food Lion practice? I had an overflowing cart and wasted an hour+ shopping. At least they didn't ask me to put it all back--but wouldn't it have been easier to quickly check me out vs get the store employees to return an overflowing cart of items to inventory? Highly disappointed.

I worked/lived in Northern Va for 15 years and would drive distances to do my grocery shopping there. BUT, this location is without a doubt THE most challenging location. For many reasons. The store lay out is like a jig saw puzzle. In no way does it follow the layout of all the other stores I've been to. The WORST part is the entry/exit and parking. Most every time I've been, there is always a near miss with someone pushing a cart with everything but groceries in the driveway entrance/exit. The most recent experience is why I finally decided to post this review as a WARNING. Beware, there are people who act as though they are trying to get hit. You can draw your own conclusions as to why but it's a fact. Yesterday, this person is approaching the entry crossing pushing a cart. I'm making a right turn off Central into the lot. We make eye contact, they stop as I inch closer into the entry way...then they STOP right in the middle of the crossing and act like they are pulling up their PANTS off the ground. There are vehicles behind me on the horn because they can't see what's going on. It's a highly dense, intense traffic location. On every side there are pedestrians, cyclers, dog walkers and people pushing carriages.

It's kinda insulting for a store that is otherwise so lax that there was a crafty panhandler actually lurking *inside* the store on a recent run, hitting me up to pay for their grocery basket.
