A sheer delight to work with giving reasonable facial tips.

MAN does it pain me to write this review. I've had a love affair with Von Maur for over a decade…read more And boy, oh boy do I miss my random shopping getaways pre-pandemic. It has been my go-to for formal wear, Iowa Hawkeye gear, shoes, accessories, swimwear and more over the years. But this summer they changed their return policy. I think a lot of it is pretty standard... - Return within 90 days with a receipt: Receive purchase price back to original form of payment - Return after 90 days with receipt or anytime with a gift receipt: Receive purchase price as merchandise credit only. - Return without a receipt: Receive current selling price as merchandise credit only. My issue with this change is with their new FINAL SALE policy. - They cut the tags off your brand new items to ensure you can't return them. Therefore my newly purchased, never worn item that I just so happened to score a great deal on... looks not new. Possible pre-owned. What if I planned to gift someone that item? Don't they deserve to know it hasn't been worn and is right off the rack? (Or in my case, I got a supposedly unworn bikini without any tags... which was unexpected. And kind of weirded me out.) If you need to scribble on the tag, over the barcode-- go for it. But I go to Von Maur for the experience and the unique items sold there. It is tacky and off brand to send new items sans tag. (And when I contacted customer service to express my opinion about said two piece. I was basically shrugged off.) I buy plenty of thrift items for myself and even they include a tag... just sayin. This would be a two star, just because of how I feel about the new changes. But I still stand by Von Maur as a quality store. This change may stop me from getting certain items here now. (#shopsmall, #shoplocal) But it shouldn't deter you from getting full-priced items here!

Regardless, I chose Walmart as my "go to store" for all my needs but lately I was treated like I don't matter through their checkout! Customer service putting it politely "IT SUCKS", twice in a row now!! I'm not sure, if it's racism or it's just both cashier that I've chosen but they are literally rude each time to "ME"!! One cashier spoke to a customer behind me while ringing my items up and no "meet & greet" just continue their conversation with her friend until all my items are rung up and I had a cart full. It was irritable and I submitted a review on this incident to the store manager as well. And on a different day, another cashier, did the same thing just rang my stuff up and no "meet & greet" either, but slightly better (smh) she didn't talk to anyone behind me. I mean when I was a cashier I always greet people, how could you not, customers standing right in front of you. I would always say "Hi how are you, did you find everything okay?", you know the usual blah, blah, blah, like humans do, but not a word, I'm the customer but I felt awkward so I'm the one who ask her how she was. And she actual answered "fine thank you", FOR REAL? After I asked her, I thought to myself, this ain't right! I spent lots of money here each week/month. But I'm so done with this place to be miss treated by cashiers like this!! I was always polite to all my customers no matter what my situations or how bad my days was. Customer service is not the same anymore!! Food cost is expensive as it is. I don't want to add bad service to my bill either. NO THANK YOU!! THANK GOD FOR OTHER STORES AND ONLINE SERVICE OUT THERE. 1st time review for this store as part of a Yelp elite squad!

Summer clothes mixed in with winter clothes, and many don't have the price tag attached. The selection compared to other Tj max's is awful. I thought the CR store was bad but they apparently have new mgmt and it's come a long way. I prefer Marshall's at this point as they have really cleaned up their store and it's so nice to have staff that greet you, and a very nice selection of men and women's clothes but most importantly, it's organized and clean.

With that being said however, this store seems always be torn up and out of control, especially in the back. It gets so cluttered that nearly everything you pick up (I'm specifically thinking of frames and artwork) is chipped, dented or straight up broken. I get it - I'm getting a good deal. But what good does a bargain do for me if the product is damaged? This is not the sol reasoning behind my two star review though... It's the atrocious customer service. There is a woman that seems to always be working the registers on the weekends. She might be a lead or supervisor... She might also just be a bossy coworker... All I know is that she is not customer service focused. I have repeatedly stood there for 2-3 minutes while she finished folding shirts, she has rudely told me "No! Over here!" when I stood on the wrong side of the register, and when I needed to make a return because the product was defective (Huge hole in a shirt) she made a big deal out of not having a receipt, even though the tags were attached and I had the same card that I paid with. While this woman is my primary example, everyone else seems to almost run the other way when they see you coming to ask a question. On another occasion, I asked if an item was still only 25% off or if it had been discounted further since it had been sitting there, on sale, for more than 2 weeks. Her response to me was, "Oh I don't know... It looks like it says 25%." I asked if she could scan it and see and she once again gave me a wonderful response of, "I can't. I don't have a scanner." At that point, I put my item down and left. I decided against buying the $200 tray that I probably didn't need anyway....
