Worst Walmart I've ever been to, eventhough it's a drive we go to mt pleasant Walmart instead of this local one, management is awful, employees are constantly talking and not really working, that being said some people do an amazing job but as a whole Alma Walmart is awful, went to return pop bottles in the bottle room, machines are down, the bottle room is dirty and the sink doesn't work to wash hands, trash cans weren't at the hole in the wall thing afterwards, had to walk around with soapy hands while shopping, and product availability sucks too, I hope management sees this, yall can do better. Also items aren't correctly entered into their inventory thing because what's shown as available in store is not, looking for an item the other day, showed as in stock went to isle where it was and completely out of stock. This is probably one of the WORST Walmarts I have shopped in.Nothing is in "order, the veggie depart is "sad", the bakery (fresh italian breads) are full of "holes", and the shelves are never full...What I hate the most is their "lack of REAL human cashiers"...I was just there this past Friday(busy shopping day, especially during the week before Christmas) ONE live cashier! ...Don't "think you are going to force customers to go to self serve and scan and pack their groceries...If I "didn't NEED this particular toy that my little granddaughter asked for Christmas...I would have Left my cart.And went to Meijer's where they Always have at least 4 live human cashiers"...The walmart a little further up the road in Mount Pleasant isn't much better.I can NOT believe the soft, floppy vegetables they sell at both these locations...And "egg prices??? how does the 36 pack of large eggs go from last years "price od $2.24 for 2 18 packs to (yesterdays price of $11.76 cents??? Especially during the holidays when people bake...I just didn't buy any eggs, as THIS price is going way too far! Walmart shoppers are "blue collar people, seniors, young couples, college kids...We depend on eggs sometimes as a meal for dinner...they are "protein, healthier than "cheap hot dogs"...No wonder people are getting diabetes, heart issues...Walmart is no longer "for their neighbors! read more

I am definitely not impressed with this Walmart. I found that the staff in general is very rude they don't thank you for your business and they just seem to be like robots doing a job. The store on the inside is not very neat and tidy a lot of items look like multiple hands have gone through them and the shelves are a bit of a mess. I have to say the parking lot was probably one of the clear ones that I've ever seen and the outside of the building as well kept. I've had a couple of bad experiences at my local Walmart here in Alma Michigan. I had ordered a cake for a very special event I was having and I talked to a lady there and she gave me a pricing and I told her I wanted some fruit around the edges and some writing in the middle. Ain't that hard right? Well apparently they don't know how to fruit around the boarders so I got the whole top with fruit. And they added some fondant on with my message. It was honestly ugly lmao And they were going to charge me like 50 something when they told me 30. Wtf. I got a manager and he was gonna give me like a 5 dollar discount. And then he got super mad at me because I ordered the cake for my mother because her English isn't very good. I'm not sure what his problem is. Horrible manager. I didn't take the cake in the end. --- And yesterday I went to get some groceries and I stopped by the garden center outside to grab some flavors, they had two big shelf's with flavors, the price 9.88. Great price! I got the same ones last year for my house! - I took a picture of the racks just in case they asked at the register. I told the cashier and another one said they didn't sell those flats...well clearly you do because there are two shelf's with two signs saying 9.88. She called back there and she had the biggest smile on her face when they said must be a mistake or something. Why she so happy? And then I proceeded to tell her that perhaps she should take off those signs if they were wrong because they were confusing costumers and making it harder on themselves. Right now is a extremely difficult time for everyone and many people are looking for work, me being one of them. I filled out an application for many different job titles and everything was great until I got to a test. This test in my opinion is extremely discriminatory! It asks questions based on how you would react to a lazy co-worker for example. I have severe social anxiety and am extremely socially awkward! Wal-Mart, being a company that takes pride in employing disabled and handicapped people, requires you to take a test, expecting honesty, but never thought that those with mental health disabilities would pick the least confrontational answers! Let alone the fact that I would be amazing at any job they gave me! I am extremely disappointed in Walmart and their inability to create an unbiased employment application! Ashley B. I needed to update this review since this is a new location. This store is nice and newer with wider aisles. They are well stocked and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We all know about the prices. Looks like Jen T was upset with my first review but that was the old store which is still abandoned across the street! The employees at this store are more polite than at the Saginaw locations. Since they converted to a super center the selection is just as good. As far as that mean review by Tom, look in the mirror buddy. You aint no prize. read more

Ok.I've had it.... Im running behind schedule as usual.... I go into Wal-Mart and fo some quick grocery shopping. I go to the self serve checkouts. I run a cart full thru and bag it all. Then i go to pay.... I swipe my credit card.... Nothing.... Swipe it again.... Nothing....and again....NOTHING... So i hit the button for assistance.... Nothing..... Wait. 2-6 minutes.... No help.... Push it again for assistance.... Nothing.... Wait 5 minutes.... Here comes the cashier who keeps an eye on self serve registers... She stands there looking right st me... With a really dumb look on her face... Im like hello... Wanna help? Shes like.. Oh do you need help.... Im like yeah i do.... Any chance of it happening before 2018? Then she proceeds to walk over to a lady and help here.... Wtf???? THAT lady came up after i told the blonde dumbass i needed help getting the credit card to go through... Must be she had recipes to exchange with each other. Dont wanna help a customer out when they need help? Ok... I left it all right on the register and WALKED out..... She yells over and says i cant leave my groceries on her register... Im like .... Oh they're YOURS darlin... You don't wanna help me out so i can pay for them.....they aint mine yet... Nor will they be. She tells me to put them back of i refuse to pay.... Im like oh hell no... Have fun.... Went to meijers..much as i hate them... Credit card goes right through 1st time..... Lol.....
