Summertime is obviously not their big season, but they certainly try to put things out to get people to come by I was impressed to see a barbecue food truck, although I wasn't hungry. The gift shop was full of interesting little trinkets, very much in the tradition of a roadside attraction. The bakery was well stocked, and I was pleased with the quality of the donuts that we purchased. Michigan cider is hard to screw up, and this place gets it just as good as most of the others. Having it available as a slushy is a nice touch, and it's not something I've had before. On a nearly 90 degree day it was a welcome bit of refreshment. There was a little stage set up with a pleasant older man playing his guitar and singing songs. This was also much enjoyed. The staff we met throughout were welcoming and gracious. The cider mill was unfortunately closed when I went mid week during the days it's very family friendly. On weekends it's supposed to be busier and the back bar by the field is open. Go early and find a spot. The cider is pretty good as well, does not taste super artificial fake apple tasting which is a plus. The donuts are obvi good but they are like cinnamon sugar (powdered sugar).
