Here Today. There Tomorrow!…read more Before today I knew nothing of a Meijer's, what's a Meijer's? Well Meijer's is another Walmart, they run neck to neck. Now, of course I just had to investigate for myself and for the people to decide. What I discovered: 1. Meijer's floral department is waaaay fresher! You can smell their fragrance throughout the store which will put you in the mood for a little 1 stop shopping. 2. They offered sale items, which if you don't usually use Gain laundry detergent "On Sale" will change your mind. 3. The prices on clothes was a shock and looked less of quality than Walmart. Walmart is really starting to suck but if you follow Business News it's explainable. 4. Meijer's had a person posted up at the entrance door to help guide you to the correct department if you're just running in and quickly out. 5. More staff visible to assist. Those are just a few differences I noticed if you have reasons why refuse not to shop at Walmart. As I keep saying, WE like options and DON'T have to put up with sucky service! Some prices run high but as a small town grocer, you expect that -- but some sales are better than those I've ever seen at Meijer, Kroger, etc. All depends, I suppose. It is often very busy especially during summer months and so the prices tend to stay about the same. Staff is always friendly. When ever I've gone in there they go out of their way to help you and make sure that you feel like you're part of their family.
