I'm on vacation and stopped here to pickup some things I need. There's a huge selection of items. Household items, toys, bedding, all that, plus fresh foods. There's a big parking lot. Here's the reason for the low stars though...first, I needed to go to the bathroom pretty badly. I attempted to ask a worker and she jumped backwards like she was scared. Then she wouldn't answer me and literally walked backwards and into a different aisle, blatantly avoiding responding to me. It was extremely uncomfortable. Then I asked a different employee and this one informed me of where the bathrooms are. I went to it but the whole bathroom was closed. Then I tried the bathroom in the back of the store. There was a huge line and about 1/4 of those stalls were closed also. I had to wait so long that I was hunched over with my legs crossed. Then afterward, all 3 drinking fountains were broken. I shopped for a lot here and was disappointed in how I felt as a customer. I did talk with a manager who seemed friendly and apologized. That helped a bit. There was also a really friendly lady employee at the exit. So it wasn't the worst stop ever, but also could have been way better. The store has many handy items for low prices but the overall environment isn't the best! read more

What a sketchy place. From the armed security all around the store, to the unhelpful employees and cashier who literally crumbled up the receipt and tossed it at me, I would never come back here again. Seriously folks, wanted to make a garbanzo bean salad so I went to Walmart to get the ingredients; was disappointed to find once I got home the feta cheese was nowhere to be found. I called Walmart and was told that they would have to check their security cameras (whatever ! ) With receipt in hand I returned and picked up another Feta cheese went to customer service and the cashier went to check cameras! Do not risk purchasing anything from Walmart that you cannot physically receive at the store. USPS misdelivered an item (no delivery shown on security camera, USPS could not/would not reveal where it was actually delivered). Walmart first stated the order would be replaced. It wasn't. We asked for a refund two weeks later. Walmart stated refund was imminent. Two weeks later filed a credit card complaint. Walmart told credit card company that per Walmart policy ANY carrier assertion that a package was delivered absolved Walmart of any further responsibility. We wrote Walmart corporate, they sent a message back saying they couldn't be bothered with the complaint and we should call a toll free number. Avoid procuring anything from Walmart that you cannot pick up from a store. They will deliberately mislead you in their communications. We have substantially reduced all Walmart purchases. read more

I spend several hundred dollars if not closer to $1000 every month in this store with my EBT and my husband's two jobs in my one job. This is the third time now they have accused me of some sort of theft when I have never stolen anything. It's eye-opening and nauseating too, be treated like that from a business you spend so much money at. I'm showing proof to World because they've actually told me before this is the third in a series of horrific, disgusting accusations being backed up by heresay and no proof. I bought a pet fountain here six months ago they told me they never sold me and I lived across the street from them and I could not have bought from any other store. Wanted to purchase a $16 level in the hardware dept that was shelved in a locked case more than an hour before closing. First staff member directed me to where I could find what I was looking for. Then, advised to press a white button to get help. A different staff member said he was already clocked out, but was still performing job related tasks when approached. Was informed: only the manager has the key to the case, but was advised to press a button to request support and to keep pressing it when should the light stop blinking. Button plays an automated message when pressed, but doesn't result in any customer support. After 15mins of pressing the button repeatedly, I dropped what I was going to buy and left. I go in a lot of Walmart stores. And 90% of the time they are great and I always use self check and bring my own bags. Also usually there are folks employees at front by self check who help the scanning impaired. I have only been in this location a few times as is always packed. It started with no carts. Went and got my own. A lot of restocking going on and was hard to navigate. This is common at Walmart but there were lots of scuffles with staff and folks in scooters and non maskers. And why are you allowing non maskers? So checkout was a nightmare from hell. No one understands the process and no help. I am not talking seniors I am talking millennials who should get technology. So I called back and some lady answered rude and asked me if I had a short question or a long question so I told her I needed some tires and the tire size that I needed and she said I'll put you on a short hold and 20 minutes later the phone hangs up again. Sometimes I go to this Walmart out of convenience but I usually regret it because it takes at least twice the amount of time as most other shopping experiences. The lines usually seem very long and slow. Also,many necessary items are locked up. Today I waited for around 20 minutes to get a needed item that was locked up. And looks like the crime is on the rise in the area, so they started to "randomly" harass customers about their bags; they can let you in, but then start to harass you mid shopping. In my case 3 guards at the entrance saw me coming in with a backpack they could have stopped me and say that I can't come in, but they chose to let me start shopping first and then harass me about my bag to waist more of my time. The person at the door told me I was not allowed in the store with a backpack. I tried to explain that I am trying to grocery shop with my backpack because I ride a motorcycle. They still refused. *BEWARE WALMART ON CARLISLE *CHECK YOUR PRODUCTS IN STORE I went and bought a jump starter (locked up product) to jump my car after replacing alternator in Walmart parking lot. I opened it to find that the product was Not the one I paid for (lower amps) I go in and innocently tell them what happened and showed them my receipt on the Walmart app. I then instantly regretted being honest when they start treating me like I stole the product. I let them know I never left the property bc my car is disabled in the parking lot. They watch the cameras and determine that I was given a new product there for I must have switched it. Meanwhile the +\- attachment do not match the product I received so I can't even use the one I was wrongly given. I was told to contact 1800walmart for refund. 1800walmart directed me back to the store where I was treated like I stole this product again. I was even accused of just having a picture of my receipt despite it being on the WALMART APP I bought the product at 549 and the first time I tried to return it was around 640 the same night. Easy, convenient, and fast is how to describe this part of Walmart. I'm not a fan of coming to Walmart unless I absolutely have to. In this case I needed a quick money order before I went into work today so I was limited on time. I decided to come to the money center since it's location was on my commute to work. I was immediately greeted by the cashier at the register. She was very friendly and helpful. She got me in and out the door within a couple minutes! I really didn't think about taking pictures, I should have. I loved this Walmart. It was exceptionally clean. All the isles were stocked well. Customer service was helpful and friendly cashiers. There were a few items here that were different and can't get in California, such as some of the baked goods. If I am ever back in the area and need to do some shopping I would shop here again. They said that I was close to both the doors but, at first I was carrying it so I put it down by the self check out then got a cart. This is when managers and security started following me. I've had it with the store. Unlike other Walmarts in Albuquerqaue, it seems they have their own rules and regulations. I buy wine from Walmart as they carry the brands I want at a good price. I don't like Walmart policy of checking everyones drivers licenses even though State law says anyone under 40, and I am over double that age. But, one of the checkers insisted I take off my glasses, because I don't wear them for my license picture. Went to another clerk, no problem, showed here my drivers license, and got out of there in good order. Checked with another Walmart, and it is not necessary to take off your glasses when giving the clerk your drivers license. Self-serve is just as bad. Needed help, was the only one there when I started checking out, but she helped 4 other people who came in after me before coming over to my place. Will never shop there again. read more

The rent a cop driving around the parking lot drove up to us saying he was about to bust our windows open because our dogs were overheating. However, if he actually did his job and monitored our car...he would've known we weren't even gone for 10 minutes(to literally grab them dog food) and the windows were down. We also have out of state plates because we are passing through, most dog people know dogs get anxious in new places. You can clearly tell when a dog is in distress and ours weren't. Walmart is inexpensive and tolerant. This location is the one closest to me. The arrangement of the parking lot makes it seem busier than it actually is. Inside the store is huge. (It is a bit like the Tardis that way.) Because the store is so big a lot of people can fit inside before it feels crowded. This location gets high marks for from me for being extremely tolerant. I dance with a sword. The best practice is doing ordinary things with the sword balanced on your head. My apartment is very small so I do grocery shopping with the sword on my head. I usually go at 10pm although early in the morning is also a good option for avoiding crowds. I like being able to get everything in one place. For clothes I usually buy multiple sizes and bring back the rejects. They are very nice about that. Very professional. When I go shopping I like to bring my own bags. I open my trunk. I unsheathe my sword or swords (I am now working on balancing two) then I grab my bags. If there is a security person (or a greeter) I walk up and say hi. I empathize with standing on hard floor all day (because I have done that). I ask if it is ok to shop with grocery bags from other stores. If I am looking for something I have not bought before I ask where he or she would look for it. I never mention the sword. I move slowly and I get all my shopping. Sometimes I practice traveling dance moves as I walk down the exceedingly long aisles. When I am ready to check out I prefer a human. I practice bending my knees without dropping the sword. I dip down, blindly grab something and set it on the conveyor belt. It sometimes takes me a while to get all my groceries out of the cart and put my bags on top. I speak warmly to the cashier and adopt a friendly smile. After 2 years I did have one cashier ask if I have magnets in my head. I handed her the sword and said, "No, there are no tricks. I just balance it. That is why I need so much practice." I have not had any other comments. As I said before; they are extremely tolerant. If I don't get a cart and later realize I need one, I ask someone near the door to please fetch me a cart because I am afraid I may drop something. The staff are very obliging. At first I went at the same time of day on the same day of the week. Now I just go any time that isn't busy. The other shoppers sometimes avoid me and I prefer to make that easy. When my store was open 24 hours it was restocked at 6am so I generally went late at night instead. Now that the store is closed at night, it makes no difference. As a general rule I find that the store is clean and well stocked. There are a few exceptions. The costumes and decorations are a wreck in the week before Halloween. Just before Christmas the store can be a little disordered; especially the kids toys. Considering the low prices (and low pay for staff) I have found the service to be excellent. Once when I was in the fitting room someone took my cart (which was full of shopping). I solved that by trying on clothes at home now. When I return the rejects I let the staff know that I am returning Items that are the wrong size, wrong color or just plain ugly. Only once have I needed to return something for a manufacturer defect. Once I bought a TV/VCR (I am dating myself here.) the first time I used it the thing would not give me back my tape. They were happy to take back the player for a refund but they balked at replacing the tape. I stuck to my guns and insisted that they retrieve my tape or replace it. Eventually they did. If you are concerned about being accused of anything I have a suggestion. Speak to the staff early and often. Ask if the cold/hot air blows in the door. Ask someone for the best way to get a cart if you end up finding a large or expensive item. My mother has someone do the shopping for her and put everything in her car. I still go inside because I believe in sticking with reusable bags wherever possible. Besides, I need the practice with my sword! read more
