I went in for a quick purchase in the garden department, the lady in front of me had an issue with payment and needed a manager, Charles took one look at a line former and took the initiative to open up a register and start ringing people up. So last night while I was shopping in the Walmart near Canyon Springs parkway I heard an announcement over the intercom requesting the owner of a red Nissan SUV come to the women's dressing room. Since that is the description of my vehicle I hurried over to that area. I was told the trunk of my car was unlocked and sitting in the parking lot wide open!! Oh no! Instant panic sits in because I have packages in the trunk area and in the back seat!! The gentleman tells me to hurry and come with him. I'm thinking the worse has happened and all my packages are gone!! As we walk to the exit the employee tells me the parking lot security guard noticed my open trunk and immediately called it into the store security. As I walk/run to my car I see the security guard waiting close by. (He was also helping another shopper that looked like they locked the keys inside the car) I was so relieved to see my purchases just as I left them, nothing was missing!! I close the door but surprisingly it does not lock. He helps me rearrange my purchases which allowed the door to close and lock. Apparently when I opened it to get empty shopping bags, it did not latch and lock, I had already turned to walk into the store and didn't see what happened. Customer Beware!!!! Worst Walmart I've been to across all of Southern California. The co manager Starr is a liar! There was an issue with pricing. The item was scanning normal price for a Black Friday sale item that Walmart.com stated would be on sale in store. I showed her the online ad and the price so She instructed the worker to change the price then when the worker asked for her override to make it go through she said oh no I never told you to do this and continued to argue with me and would not honor the pricing. Really ruined my thanksgiving making me waist time and gas driving there then time waiting in line for hours just to be denied at the register. WHAT A JOKE!!! read more

About 70 people in line total. 5 minutes ago they opened just 2 more registers, instead of asking the people who have been waiting to come to the open lines, they direct the people in the back of the lines to come forward. It's Walmart. However waiting 20+ minutes for an associate to open the baby formula container EVERY time is no good.

So I went to this Walmart to purchase a towel hook for my bathroom. I was super excited to hang it up right away so when I got home I opened the package immediately and it was missing all of the hardware needed to hang it up on the wall. Keep in mind the packages says that it's all included. So I immediately go back to the store to exchange it for the same product with the missing hardware included. It has literally only been less then 30 mins since I originally left the store so I didn't think it would be an issue. However the Frontend Manager said that I could not get an exchange because it wasn't between the hours of 7a- 7p. This was very upsetting considering I had literally purchased this item less than 30 mins ago. It's really insane to me that they would not allow me to exchange the item which didn't require me getting any money back just the complete product that I paid for. This is incredibly unreasonable and horrible customer service. You can accept money but if that product I purchased is missing parts that I paid for you can not help me. It doesn't take an experienced person to even know what the right thing to do in this situation would be so a manager making this call is baffling. I assure you this was enough to make me finally say "I will never shop at Walmart again" I would rather pay more money than shop at a place that doesn't take care of their customers, is dirty, and has an overall culture of "We don't care". read more

I had an appointment after work so this morning, I placed an online order to pick up 2 items in store. I received an email saying that my order is ready for pickup so right after work, I drove down and went to customer service. Forgive me but I had NO clue that they had a new designated pick-up area on the opposite side of the store. Every time I've come here to pick something up, I got it at customer service. Would have been nice if they'd posted a sign, redirecting people who are there to only pick up. So I stand in line for about 25 minutes (no exaggeration) cause well...it's Walmart so the employee to customer ratio is always way off. And I'm then told that they can't do anything for me there and that I have to go to the other side of the store to the new pick-up spot. Awesome. So I go there, check in at the kiosk, and wait an additional 15 minutes before flagging someone down to ask if someone is heading to the pickup area. A few minutes later someone finally shows up. I'm not one to complain about things like this because I've worked so much retail so I get how things go sometimes but I spent about 45 minutes at Walmart, picking up 2 small items that I prepaid for and missed my appointment that I planned this ordeal around. Walmart is, well, Walmart. I don't come here expecting 5 star customer service. I come here knowing I'll be accepted if I'm in my pajamas with no makeup on. I expect morbidly obese people on hover-rounds driving around with their basket full of cat food and Pepsi. And crying children and glossy eyed courtesy clerks. This Walmart seems to be always stocked. I've never come here to find what I need not available. For awhile I was price matching groceries here, but the math and reading competitors ads was too tedious for the cashiers and they kept mucking up my charges and holding the lines up, so it made me feel like a total asshole. If you're going to price match, please make sure the cashiers know how to actually do it. My last visit I purchased 4 apple juice. They each rang up for $4 with the item description as "2 for 4 apple juice". It was obviously entered incorrectly so I'm pretty sure everyone who bought the 2 for $4 juice was charged $4 each bottle. read more

By far worst experience ever! Waited 30 minutes for someone to help me get one can of spray paint! Every time someone walked by I would ask for help and they're response was always "I'll page someone" do not shop here! Never shop at a love that doesn't put their customers first! I generally give retailers the benefit of the doubt (takes a lot to get a REALLY bad review from me!) but this place is a real "gem!" Customer Service: There are a few very good employees here, but a majority act as though I'm interrupting them if I have a question ("Excuse me, where is... Located?" Typical reply "SIGH, it's on THAT aisle (finger point) like it always is" and that exchange happened verbatim). Last 3 visits the same guy was "working" (looking at video games) in Electronics/Movies. We asked him (first 2 times) where something was, he actually replied "Sorry no clue, I don't work in this department, I was just checking for something" the first time. The 2nd, he said, "No idea, not my dept." Now, I don't expect people to know where everything is, but I worked retail for 7 years and would've been FIRED if I handled customers that way! (The 3rd time we didn't bother asking because... we knew his answer already) So here's an idea guy, walk around and help us find it??? That said, there's a 50's-ish gentleman that typically works later nights in grocery and another (same hours) younger guy by cleaning supplies that are GREAT. They stand out because they're the exception. The ladies that work over by cosmetics and medicines at night??? Universally rude! (Guys I get WalMart hasn't been the greatest employer, but that's not MY fault so please save that 'tude for the people you're angry with! NOT me!) Another note about said cosmetics/hair products, evidently we're all assumed to be thieves, so if you need ANYthing from those aisles after 8 or 9:pm, go across the street to Target because they LOCK ACCESS TO THIS DEPT after that time so you canNOT get anything from there though the store is open 2-3 hours later than that!!! Stock: This store has the worst out-of-stock issues I've EVER experienced!!! EVERY department! If it's on sale/special, better get there day one or two because it will be out of stock for a week or more! I have 2 small children and shop for diapers, wipes, etc. No joke, these guys miss out on $150+/mo of my money alone due to this issue (size 2, 3 or 5 diapers in Pampers or Luvs - good luck!!! I stopped even trying after FIVE separate visits over 2 months and now I buy at Target or on Amazon). Checkout: The cashiers are generally very nice in this store. Which IS impressive because as most reviews note, they generally have mile-long lines because they only keep 2 (Max) open later in the evenings so the ladies that are typically up there are being yelled at due to the aforementioned issues in the store, yet they maintain their cool quite well! But the lines are ridiculous and we've walked out & gone (yet again) to Target across the street and paid a bit more so we could get our toddler & infant out of the store without a 40-min wait in line. (Attn Mgt: Our last trip saw $240 in merchandise & food go back when we gave up and left!!! Now if we see the lines, we just leave without even shopping! This is lost revenue for you guys!!!) Returns: I will say the customer service/returns desk has some GREAT employees! They've been very kind and for my baby shower I got a lot of newborn sized items I had to exchange (no receipt) and they were wonderful. But again, nothing in this store is straightforwardly positive... Employees are great BUT they do not staff the CS/Returns desk past 9. So again, I have been told "come back tomorrow" twice. Why advertise store hours of open until 11 or 12 if 30%+ of your store closes at 9???? After all this, you're likely thinking "why has she continued to go?" Good question (one I ask myself EVERYtime I've walked in - on the rare occasion I still do.) The Mc Donald's means my 3year old may eat AND I get shopping done (which sometimes is the only way w/a 3y old! Lol) There are some things they carry that Target does not or in larger quantities and the grocery section is nice. That said, I've found the location in Riverside and now that I know this area better, I will likely switch to that location. Many people dislike all WalMarts, but we had one near us in Irvine that was wonderful. This is truly an issue with this location and the mgt here! read more

I had to go here to return an item that was ordered for me by a relative as a Christmas present. I took the time to check Wal-Mart's return policy on online purchases, stating that they could be returned to the store for store credit. Fair enough. I have never been a fan of Walmart and avoid it at all costs. and this trip just re-enforced my feelings. First of all, the trek across the parking lot is like a pilgrimage to Mecca. Once inside, the store was packed with people, and there were endless amounts of cars overflowing with go backs all along the front corridor across from the checkstands; as well as the customer service area, which was jam-packed with them. The line for returns was insanely long (yes, it was Christmas time, so I didn't expect anything quick) but I wasn't expecting that either. They only had 2 employees working the counter, making the wait all the more excruciating. When I finally got to the counter, I was waited on by a woman with no personality whatsoever. She asked me for my receipt, after which I explained it was a gift purchased for me online. All it was shipped with was a packing slip (with a bar-code) the item and the box with shipping label. She told me I would need to look up the purchase online, after which I had to tell her (again)n that I did not buy the items myself so I wouldn't be able to do that. I even asked her if the packing slip with the barcode was considered the receipt and she said no. Really? Luckily, a supervisor came along and I spoke up and asked her if I could get a return with the pocking slip being used as the receipt. She the asked me if I had a receipt and I had to hell HER that it was a gift and that I did not buy the item and therefore did not have the original receipt. She FINALLY OK'd the return and as a bonus, I was given cash back...BUT no, "Thank You", no "Sorry For The Trouble", not even a smile. I just got my cash and got the hell out of there and was just so happy that I didn't have shop there and endure an even more mediocre and maddening shopping experience. I took my cash and bought my groceries at Ralphs where the service was actually good. The low prices are not worth the headache, the crappy merchandise, and the lousy service. Even if you don't shop at Walmart, you're still giving the company money by paying taxes which goes for welfare and medi-cal, which most of the employees count on the supplement their income due to Walmart's slave wages and refusal to hire anyone full-time. So the next time you see a great price at Walmart, just be aware that part of that discounted price is possible via the pockets of the taxpayers. read more

This is for the great service Rosanna gave me at the Vision Center. My 89 year old friend with memory problems and no money broke the only pair of glasses she had. My friend did not have the 170.00 needed for new glasses. Rosanna went out of her way to search for a frame and placed my friends glass in the new frame.
