This review is aimed solely at the Tire Center. The store is the store - it's WalMart. But a few months ago, I got a flat. Out of desperation (it was late on a Sunday, and I needed a tire), I went to Walmart Rancho Cucamonga. I was made to wait quite a while before getting any assistance from the clerk inside the store. When I was finally helped, they at first weren't sure if they even had a tire that would fit my car (2008 Mustang). They finally found one, and when I asked if they had another (because I didn't just want to buy one tire, in order to keep wear even) they looked around for a while, and finally found another one. This aggravation is not so much my issue with them. What I had a problem with is that after they seemed to have no trouble getting the first tire installed, they seemed to be unable to get the other tire on the wheel without a lot of extra effort, almost to the point of not being able to get it on at all - which made no sense to me...the tires are the same and so are my wheels. Why would one go on easily, and not the other? Both tires eventually got put back on my car, and off I went. A while after this, I had service done at my Ford dealer, and after they rotated my tires, the ones that WalMart had put on the back were now on the front. Now suddenly, the front end of my car is shaking pretty badly when I'm on the freeway. This went on for some time until I took my car back to the Ford dealer for another round of service. I asked them to check the balancing on the front tires that Walmart had installed. Sure enough, the balancing was way off and they had to fix it. My front end doesn't shake, rattle and roll anymore. So, Walmart Tire Center couldn't get one of my tires on as easily as the first, and they didn't balance them correctly. Take heed before you ever get a tire here. I've advised everyone I know to never get a tire from WalMart. read more

Couple of weeks back, I had a flat tire while driving. My car was towed to the Rancho Cucamonga Walmart by AAA (excellent service). Center Manager, Kevin & his Service Manager, John & Shelly at the counter extended outstanding service once again. A new tire was installed and I was out in 30 mts. Although I am one for a good beef stew, this fell short of the mark. I made it very clear to the employees that I wanted a solid stew topped with solid beef. You wouldn't believe the disappointment I had when I was granted a stew with runny beef. It was very eye opening for me that our society does not know what a good beef stew is like, especially since I thought I was going to a 5 star Italian restaurant when I first heard about this place. I will say the glowing orbs on the ceiling, as well as the holy water of Christ that was kindly placed beside the front doors was very welcoming, and the staff tried their best to meet my beefy needs. It's not their fault that they were uneducated about the structure of a good stew. This experience taught me one of two things; never trust an Italian beef stew, and never accept a sus beef stew. read more

Just moved to Rancho and this was my first experience at wal mart. Evelyn the CSM was condescending, dismissive and rude to us. She either lacked customer service skills or refused to use them. She was also yelling at another team member on the floor in front of guests. I've been a general manager in the customer service business for 7 years and know this is not the type of individual that should be representing any company. This place is an awful mess for a store where every section is locked up and behind glass. If you want to be followed around the store while you look around this is the place for you. I went into the makeup section and was literally followed around as i looked through the aisles by a small old woman. Mind you, everything in that section of the store is locked up. I took it personally when I knew others were waiting for her assistance but she was more focused on me. I told my boyfriend out loud that I didn't understand her need to follow me when she had others waiting and finally she said "let me know if i can help you with anything" and walked away. She came back a min later but somehow was nowhere in site when I pressed the button to be assisted. I got irritated and decided to leave, I only got 1 thing of the 7 items I came in for. And when decided on the item the lady grabbed it for me put her hand out as if to give it to me but when i reached for it she pulled it back quick and said "I'm going to put it in a lock box". I think this is what they normally do but honestly the whole experience rubbed me the wrong way. I like having the choice of picking out my own items and not having to push a button and wait 15 mins before anyone gets to you for literally everything in that store. Went in to make a return. It was hassle free and quick. The line was long, but we were able to get through the line quickly.

Not a big fan of this Wal-Mart, but it's close to home. I don't like the energy of it. Not sure why, but whatever. I always go to Wal-Mart to get better prices than everywhere else. Just wish this one had the "feel" that I like. Also, the location sucks! It's practically hidden and unlike most Wal-Marts, it doesn't have a tall sign that you can see up close or at a distance. Walmart is known for cheap prices. Some items decent while other things very cheap. Why I am giving them 2 stars is because some staff members are very rude. Went to return an item with a friend and because my friend set item on counter and I handed lady my ID she said that she could not do the exchange because that would be third party transaction. Of course I challanged this ignornant statement to be given store credit. I rather take my business else where then deal with stupidity. read more

I came to pick up a tv I ordered online at Walmart.com. It was around 8:45pm and when I entered the store I asked a cashier where to pick up my tv. She said "Layaway....if they're still open." I knew they were open til 10pm per the website. I pushed the button & stood waiting while a few employees passed through the doors pretending not to see me. I finally sighed really loudly when a young man pulling a hand pellet walked by & he asked if I needed help & went to get help. Another heavy set black gentlemen came by & asked if anyone was helping me, I said no. He told me to push the button & when I asked him "Again?" He ignored me & sighed really loudly making unfriendly faces as he called for help. He let me know the girl was on break & would tend to me after that. The young man pulling the pellet saw the gentlemen there on the phone & asked him if he was helping me. He answered no he was not, that he needed to take his break and then he left me there. The young man pulling the pellet went to get someone else from the photo center & she came to help me & got my tv. I told her I still had shopping to do & she informed me she was only on the clock for 10 more minutes & gave the impression I better hurry it up. I decided to put the tv in my basket and tote it around myself. No one here was very helpful at all except the young man pulling the pellet. I definitely won't be ordering anymore items to be sent to this store anymore since I seemed to be a burden to everyone and no one thanked me for the purchase either. Seems store pick up is very inconvenient to everyone here. :( read more

They need to hire more people. I was standing at the Health & Beauty section for 30 mins waiting on someone to open the locked merchandise for me to get a razor. 30 mins just to get a damn razor!!! If you're going to have locked merchandise, At least hire more people who can take care of all of that. They only had one person to take care of that section . It's not the first time this happens, I live down the street from this store and I come here all the time and it happens every time. So much to the point where I have to write this yelp review. It just got ridiculous . I thank the lady who is by herself in this section though, because I can't imagine having to take care of all those customers by yourself. The Walmart Branch in Rancho Cucamonga CA Chose to dump several copies of Barack Obama's brand New Book, "A promise Land" in the back of the store where no one can see or have access to them. When asked, one of the managers Ms. Amy said they were left there because of Black Friday. I reminded her that these were the only new releases left in the back of the store unattended. She shrugged off the incident with a smug chuckle. One wonders why a mega retail outlet as Walmart would chose to dump Barack Obama's or anyone's brand new release in the back of the store where no one has access to it. read more

I understand these employees may be over worked or just tired of personal interaction; however, whenever I am buying electronics at this Walmart, Larry always goes above and beyond to make sure he's exhausted all options to meet my satisfaction as a consumer. I always enjoy his conversation in relation to the products I'm buying. Great employee there. read more

Store always has inventory on the floor and on pallets always have to go around obstacles in order to get what I want. My wife is disabled. Yet she's able to drive. Today is Saturday June 27th, 2020. The store texted her, said her groceries were ready. Said they were ready to be picked up between 11 am-12 pm TODAY. She left, with a song in her heart. She waited 2 and 1/2 hours for $43 worth of groceries. I am stuck here at home, and can't help her, so I called the store. The phone rings, rings, and rings, until it hangs up, on me. So I call back. I get an associate on the phone and she gives me the direct number for groceries. Now if you don't know, THIS WALMART IS A GROCERY ONLY, STORE. So I don't get it. I call.. and get the pharmacy. Gee thanks. So I text with the wife, and she's roasting, in the car. So I call again, to the store.. ring, ring, ring, ring, until it hangs up on me.. call again, it gets picked up within seconds. I get an associate, I ask for the store manager. I get the obligatory, "there is no manager here today, he went home". I ask for an assistant manager, and the associate puts me on hold..and it's 6 minutes later, 'Mark' gets on the phone. I tell him that my wife has been waiting 2 and 1/2 hours, she's roasting in the car, she's disabled, and they are killing her. Now my wife and I have been texting, back and forth. She watches other people come in, and groceries get delivered and those people leave.. she watches fifteen cars do this. She says she has given her name four times to the Walmart employee's, that come and ask. Still she waits. After I spoke with Mark, things moved pretty fast. She got her groceries, and they gave her a bottle of very cold water. Within minutes she was on her way home, with groceries. read more

Absolutely disgusting! We came here to get my daughter a toilet seat so we can start potty training her. After we bought it and were loading all our stuff in the car, I smelled something weird. After looking around through all our stuff I noticed that the toilet seat we just bought smelled like shit! Somebody bought the toilet seat, shit on it, returned it and Wal-Mart put it back on the shelf. I have been a regular customer of this Walmart since it open. I thought it was decent place to shop. However, recently I was embarrassed by staff and discrimbaned against by management. I have a very rare handicap. Staff detained me & ordered me out of the store. When I tried to explain I can not shoes as it could cause me lose a foot. She said?, "rules are rules'. When I tried to explain she was breaking the law she began to yell at me which greatly embarrassed me. I asked to see a manager and went to the check out. At the check out I again asked for a manager. After was check out a manager still had not been called. I told the clerk I was not moving till a manager was called. Worst "Customer Service" EVER!!! There really needs to be an option for ZERO stars. Against my better judgment, I decided to give this WalMart a chance when I saw that they carried a certain basketball for $10 less than elsewhere. I called the store to see if they had it in stock at 9:12 am on Christmas Eve and was put on hold, and after 4 minutes, the phone disconnected. I called again at 9:20...same result. I tried again at 9:25 a.m. I was transferred again to sporting goods, and someone actually picked up the phone. David put me on hold (actually just set the phone down) and I could hear him talking in the background (presumably to customers). After being on hold for about 10 minutes, I decided to shower so I gave the phone to my mother to hold. I showered, got dressed, and went to see if mom found out whether they had the ball or not. Guess what?! Still on hold!!! By that time, it was going on 35 minutes of being on hold. I was fuming! And mom had called from her phone and told the operator that we were on hold in sporting goods and heard the operator page that department. So I decided to get in the car and drive down to the store with my phone still on hold!! I arrived thinking I would find them swamped with customers (it was Christmas Eve, after all), but nope! They were not busy at all. There were two people behind the register. One was helping the lone customer in the department, and David was simply putting items on a shelf behind the counter. I saw their phone on the counter and I turned the display towards me and saw my phone number flashing on hold. David greeted me, and I said hello. I then asked him why he wasn't answering the phone on hold to which he looked like deer in the headlights! I said, guess what? That customer on hold is me! I have been on hold a total of 48 minutes! He nervously said that they had been sooooo busy! I pointed out that there were no customers (the lone customer was long gone) and again asked him why he didn't pick up that phone! Then Julie, the other cashier chimed in and said she had picked up the phone but it was disconnected, to which I replied no it was not and showed her my phone STILL ON HOLD and my number flashing on the display!! She, clearly, is a blatant liar. They had nothin to say! Oh...she did say they did not have the ball! Not that I would have purchased it from them at that point even if it were $1! I came in for an oil change at your rancho cucamonga store. I sat for 2 hours while 2 vehicles that pulled in after me were seen before. I am appalled at the type of service this location has. This is not the 1st time this has happend but this is the last time you will receive any money from me. I needed new tires but will go elsewhere with better customer service.
