I scheduled an exam to get contacts last winter/spring, 2025.They seem to have lots of equipment and tests.... more than I have ever been given... I'm 51, I started wearing glasses when I was 3. Upon all the tests Great Lakes Optometry put me through, it was determined i needed flushes and lubricating methods and presription drops. I followed the regiment to see no improvement . 9 months later my hormone replacement therapy precription was changed with a different doctor and everything improved. When I filled out the paper work here I answered several questions about my health history. They used this info to try and upsell me on tests that rendered no improvement. Then my trial contacts took 6 weeks to come in. I put them in and they were blurry. so I made the 2 hour drive each way once again to get my prescription corrected and to let the dr know the dry eyes weren't improving, either He sent in for another set of trials that came several weeks later and were also blurry. I suggested just going back to the precription I had from my previous optometrist and his ego seemed to be tarnished by that and he refused to do that. This place is smoke and mirrors... he is not a good optometrist. Hes got this dry eye equipment he uses to upsell you. Look at the Facebook page, its what they push... He should start with getting prescriptions accurate.

Some years back my mother ("Little" Dorothy Rogers - previously Director of Medical Records at WMH)…read morewas experiencing headaches and could not remember basic recipes. I took her to the ED at WMH in Sault MI where testing was performed. Mom was diagnosed with a, "Small Stroke" (direct quote). She remained in WMH for a couple days and during that time was "examined" by an "on call" physician and her primary care physician. Those two "concurred" with the original diagnosis and mom was placed in occupational therapy. A couple weeks later I received a phone call from my youngest sister (Evelyn), an RN at Mt. Sinai in New York - "Randy, I talk to mom daily and she is not responding like any stroke patient I've ever worked with. We need a second opinion." I immediately began transferring mom to Dr. Chander (my physician). About one week later Dr. Chander reviewed documents and the scan that was performed at WMH. Prior to even meeting mom he said, "I don't think it was a stroke." He ordered an MRI which revealed a large Glioblastoma (about 3 inches x 1.5 inches when centimeters are converted to inches). Mom went by ambulance to Petoskey where a more detailed MRI was performed revealing the large, gray mass but with tentacles well involved with her brain. A biopsy determined the mass was cancerous. Bottom line: Mom received radiation therapy in Petoskey, with the goal to buy her a few extra months with family before passing away. A tragedy! Mom was very loyal to her long time physician but did not balk when transferred to Dr. Chander as, "Dr. ______________ was not listening to me." Would the results have been different if Dr. Chander had been her primary care physician? Very possibly. Our oldest daughter (Kristin), a long time NP in Wisconsin, who has met and spoken with Dr. Chander numerous times over 15 years said: "If Dr. Chander ever retires, you two will have to move from the Soo." Dr. Chander is a "Water Walker". His commitment, intelligence and personality cannot be equaled. His recent treatment by MyMich is reprehensible and absolutely unforgivable. If Karma exists, the powers that be at MyMich will rue the day it was decided to grievously abuse Dr. Thilak Chander. Upon walking inside, it was pretty simple but the budtender greeted me and walked me through some basics. They had a menu inside to look at, however most products had been sold out so there weren't very many things I could get and I ended up walking out with some things I wasn't super stoked about, but it would get the job done. We chatted about their small business affiliation by carrying products from smaller sellers like bath bombs, and that they received certain benefits like lesser taxation due to being a part of the Native American community. Overall, the weed was good enough albeit mildly rough and the dank drops were tasty. They were like giant Reese's and the peanut butter could have been to rich real quick if I wasn't mindful, but the effects weren't strong at 25~mgs a piece. The Gelato vape was smoother than the flower I got, but Gelato is a little too middle of the road for a hybrid for my tastes so I haven't been a big fan of the strain itself, but the product seems quality. I think I'll be back, but they need to restock a bit. Perhaps I'll do my next order online so I know what they have before I go.
