I can wholeheartedly re-commend Cottagewood Senior Communities to families searching for living arrangements for a family member - in my experience Cottagewood was very understanding, helpful, and compassionate at a time when I needed all the assistance I could obtain, being senior myself and overwhelmed with responsibilities of a kind I had never had to deal with before. The cottages are graded as to the degree of assistance required. The senior nursing staff nurses were understanding and helpful, even though at times the seniors living there were not easy to care for. The administrative staff have walked me through times when I wasn't sure what to do next. The daily hands-on nursing staff were wonderful people, compassionate and kind. I also DO NOT have vision insurance, so 500-700 dollars for 2 pair of glasses is not uncommon to me. I got the call that my glasses were in-they had to be ordered out since there is no lab at this location. I tried them on and could see out of them but there was no way I got the special lenses I ordered. They were thick and made of plastic lens material-not hi-index but had AR coating. While I was trying them on the guy was on a phone talking to someone and had very little time for my concerns. And they were concerns considering I paid almost 550 bucks out of pocket. I told him when he got off the pone and gave me the "try them out for a week" spiel, that I wanted a full refund. He was obviously disappointed, but agreed with me there was no use in even trying them out if I was not happy with the way they looked. I got a credit on my bankcard and went on my way. So when I was looking for a dentist in Rochester, I listed out 51 offices on my Google maps and read all the reviews and filtered it down to only 3 really good dentists in the city. One of them being Nicholas Brong and Zumbro Family Dental. Nicholas was a super cool dude during treatment, listening to his patients, (something most doctors seem to forget about nowadays) and coming up with an ad hoc plan to target my problem areas without tooth material loss. Everyone was nice to work with from beginning of the first appointment and follow-ups. Brook at the front desk is funny to talk to and set up everything easy. And they play the best soundtrack of classical 70's rock in there so that was primo. I hope I don't have to go to a dentist for years to come but if I lived in Rochester and needed to then Nicholas would be my choice. I highly-recommend Zumbro Family Dental for your dental needs, their service is top-notch.
