As a response he took the insulin away from me that was for my son, who had run out of supply today. He said he wasn't CVS and didn't have to give me the insulin and forced me to apologize. I will never patronize the CityWayCVS again and if I can help it, any CVS which is hard due to their monopoly on the market. Completely uncalled for and unprofessional.

Walgreen's first said it wasn't received and has several times blamed her office. I trust her far more than Walgreens.

Typically at less one person in front of me is in a rush or has an issue with something or frankly an attitude with the techs. Every time I have come, they have acted with patience and kindness and took all the time needed to make sure people understand the issues they may be having or the delay in their medications. And they always apologize to me if there has been a delay in my wait yime. Could not have better things to say about this location!

My health care system sent over a prescription to this location and the pharmacy processed it with no issues. Shortly after my prescription was sent over to Walgreens, the pharmacy called me to let me know it was ready for pick-up. The pharmacist at the counter was super helpful, clear, and concise when providing me with instruction on how to take the medication. Didn't rush the interaction and was available to answer any question I may have had.

Trying to get a hold of someone on the phone means a minimum of 10-15 minutes and I've often just given up as it rounds past 25 minutes. I came in today to pick up a prescription that was filled yesterday, and it was ... somehow not ready. Is 24 hours not enough to fill 1 prescription? The pharmacist said it might have been put back, but that doesn't really make sense, because that's generally 1-2 weeks after you're supposed to pick it up. I know time feels different during COVID but this is wild. Oh well. Nothing like hanging out in the public areas for unnecessarily long periods during a pandemic! Edit: The kicker is seeing two staff members in the pharmacy area either not wearing a mask or wearing it incorrectly. Brilliant.

Then she hung up the phone on me. I lost my insurance when my job let me go a few months ago so I've been paying out of pocket for the last 2 months. It doesn't make sense for them to say that I cannot all of a sudden. Earlier in the day CVS said they would have my medication ready by 6 pm so I was waiting for it. I didn't call until after 5 pm to check up on it which is when this discussion happened. If someone had told me earlier, I would have been able to get my doctor to transfer in time to pick it up today. This pharmacy is so disorganized which is frustrating when it involves medications that people need.

I used East Side Prescription Shop for the first time today. I remember passing by it probably…read morethousands of times as a kid. My parents might have used it back then, but I don't remember. A prescription I needed urgently was called into another pharmacy this morning. Rather than ride there to pay and pick it up, I gave East Side Prescription Shop a call to see what could be arranged. The phone was answered right away by an actual person. The pharmacy tech was a nice man who entered my information into his computer, called the other pharmacy, and called me back in less than an hour. They had transferred my prescription and filled it. They even took my payment over the phone. This was something the other pharmacy was not willing to do. The tech told me that his delivery man was standing right there and that my medicine would be on the way shortly. I don't remember exactly how long it took to arrive, but it was here within 20-30 minutes from what I recall. Delivery was free and executed by a happy smiling man. It was nice to deal with kind people as sick as I feel. I didn't feel like another number in a long queue like I do at the currently available chain pharmacies. I have yet to see the inside, and I'm not sure if they have a drive-thru. The downside is that they are not open on Sunday and close by 2 PM on Saturday. So, this shop won't fit needs in the middle of the night or most of the weekend. But, I would certainly use this shop again because of the quick and kind service along with the delivery they offer. I'm not sure what the delivery area is, but what a relief to have that option where I am! They made me feel like I went back in time to when customers and patients mattered and when businesses were smaller and more comfortable.

The town I grew up in actually had a Hook's Pharmacy that we used to go to all the time. It's…read morereally neat to see that the Hook's Historic Drug Store is open during the fair. It's air conditioned which is a major plus and it feels so good! It opened in 1966 and as of August 2021 they've had 3 million visitors come through the doors! The inside is floor to ceiling with natural wood and takes you back in time. They have a lot of information about drugs they used backs then and it's a great way to learn and cool off at the same time. They just announced that this year for the 2022 Taste of the State Fair they will be offering a iced mocha coffee float! Sounds good! I always get one of those long licorice ropes and one of the great ice cream floats anytime I've been there. They sell New York egg creams which doesn't have eggs in them at all. It's soda water, ice cream and syrup. Basically if you're wanting some deliciousness and something cold pick one of the many floats they offer.

So you tell the automated system you want to talk to the pharmacy, and then IT says, "Please leave a voicemail with your name and number and we'll call you back within an hour." No option to go on hold, no option to explain to the machine that you need to see if they have a medication in stock, just "Leave a voicemail!" I don't want to leave a voicemail, I want to talk to a person, I'm on hold to talk to a person, I don't want you to call me back in 45 minutes while I'm making lunch. If you can't handle your call volume, hire more people or install more phones, or prepare to keep losing patients, because you just lost me.
