Thankfully though I finally discovered Spring Branch pharmacy which is the total opposite which is no doubt because it's an individually owned pharmacy that takes a great deal of personal pride in its service. It is very efficient and well organized, but it's the fantastic, stable staff which makes all the difference! They're not only super friendly, they're extremely efficient and helpful. In fact there's such a friendly atmosphere at this pharmacy that customers are recognized the moment they step in the door. How often does that happen these days?! Their carelessness will cause someone to ruin their medication. I later submitted a refill request, and chose pick up, yet they shipped it to my house which costs an additional $20. I called and emailed them explaining that I specifically chose pick up because I was off work that day, and that I wanted the shipping refunded. They did not even acknowledge my concern. They also chose a flavor for my compounded meds that I never requested, then acted like I asked for it. Needless to say, I switched pharmacies. Don't waste your time here. HEB has a compounding service, and they have locations all over town so you don't have to pay for shipping. They were also $4 cheaper.

I have been a customer of America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses for many years and, until my last…read moretwo visits, I was generally satisfied with the service and products I received. During my most recent purchase, I selected a higher-end pair of frames with progressive (multi-vision) lenses and all of the premium options, including blue-light filtering, scratch-resistant coating, anti-reflective coating, and what I believed was the same warranty coverage I had purchased on my previous glasses. I specifically asked for the same package I had received before, and the representative even reviewed my prior order. The quality of these lenses has been disappointing. My previous pair, which is over two years old and had the same features, survived numerous drops onto wood floors, concrete, blacktop, and other hard surfaces without developing scratches. In contrast, my new lenses became scratched after a single fall from my nightstand. For a premium pair of glasses costing approximately $850, I expected much better durability. When my wife brought the glasses into the store to have the lenses replaced under warranty, we were informed that no warranty had been added to the order. Apparently, the employee who assisted me failed to include the $25 warranty on the purchase. Since I specifically requested the same coverage and options as my previous order, I reasonably expected the warranty to be included. To make matters worse, during the same visit my wife purchased glasses of her own, and the store neglected to process her vision insurance correctly. She later had to return to the store, complete a return transaction, and have the purchase rebilled through insurance. While I understand that we share some responsibility for reviewing the paperwork before leaving the store, customers should be able to rely on the staff to accurately duplicate a previous order when specifically requested to do so. When you tell a representative, "Give me everything I had last time," and they review your prior order with you, it is reasonable to expect the same products, warranty coverage, and billing procedures to be applied. Unfortunately, between the apparent decline in lens quality and the multiple administrative errors, my confidence in America's Best has been significantly diminished. I hope management takes steps to improve both product quality and attention to detail so that long-time customers receive the service they expect.

(Locating the actual store front was a little difficult but if you're by Dillards and see Spencer's, you're practically there.) I started out by visiting RCP Eyecare immediately next to Visionworks and once I got my new prescription, I walked next door to get my glasses. The staff checked my temperature before I was allowed to look around the store. Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrance as well. The staff member that helped me even clued me on which pairs were the "clearance/discount" glasses. I was given a tray where I put every pair of glasses I tried on so that they could be sanitized before being put back up. I was torn between two pairs of glasses, so the store associate gave me their honest opinion and I was sold. The store associate took extra time explaining all of my options available and made sure to find the best possible financial deal with my insurance so I paid the least out of pocket.
