I don't see why the reviews are so low? Went on a Wednesday around 4:30 PM, it wasn't busy at all and the cashier whom I talked to was actually kinda nice. On Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, from 9:45PM to 10:45PM. Firstly, I was shopping at the store and got pretty much all my items, except for one, which was the (Purina ONE True Instinct Grain Free Chicken, Dry Cat Food, 1.45-6.53 kg*). I asked the Beauty Associate if they had it in stock. She didn't know, since she works in the Beauty department. I understand; she told me to go to customer service to ask, and they would check if they had it in stock. I went to Customer Service and asked the lady if they had the item I mentioned (*) in stock. She told me they didn't have it in stock and it showed (Free Pickup over $35). I mentioned that it said they had the item available at the store, so why would I pay $35 to pick up my items when I could come to the store myself and pick them up for less? Also, your store slogan is "Save Money, Live Better". I ended up buying my cat a different dry food that she loves and can't stop eating, which makes me happy. The dry food I originally wanted cost more, so I saved money, and it was a win-win situation. Secondly, I was interested in purchasing Apple Earphones (wired version) and asked the lady who looked like she was working in the electronics department if she could check. She told me they didn't have any. I completely understand, since it isn't something everyone would buy. I have the Apple AirPods that died on me and need to replace them, so I decided to go old school and purchase the wired earphones (lightning connector) version to connect with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I got the impression that she was too busy to help me out, so I didn't bother to ask her about anything else, since she looked kind of miserable, which didn't leave a good impression on me, so I left and checked out what I thought were vinyls, but it was the 2026 Calendars, which I wasn't planning to buy, but I decided to come back next time to buy it. I later purchased something in the beauty department and rated her customer service skills 5 stars. The only problem I have is that if she is pricing, it should be aligned with the product on the shelves. I took pictures to show my mom, and my mom noticed a price discrepancy. So instead of piecing your area, you should double-check your pricing, since the Scanning Code of Practice would have been something I would have brought up with her and her manager, but I ignored it, since I wanted to get out of the store quickly. Lastly, I was browsing around the dairy aisles and overheard the associates, maybe it was a lead with a pump truck, talking on the phone, which I thought was unprofessional, since I didn't know if you allow that on the sales floor. What made me feel bothered by the whole situation is that he didn't look like he was talking to someone from home, but it sounded like he was talking to a manager, because he mentioned that he had so much work to do and was complaining about it. I was saying to myself, why didn't you have the support? It sounds like he wanted to work, but not work so much, "Welcome to Retail"! Conclusion: I got what I needed, but I didn't get what I wanted. I found a substitute, and everything worked out in the end. My experience at the store was okay. The beauty associate was nice. She was the only one I would give a good rating. The rest of the associates (customer service, electronics, sales floor, merchandisers, etc.) I would give a bad rating based on the lack of customer service and organization. The layout of the store was okay, but the products were not presentable. I also found out that an associate is not grateful for the job he has, which was disheartening, since others would kill to work at Walmart, but the managers decided to hire the weak and lazy. Update: On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 11:30AM to 12:10PM. They had the specific item I was looking for on the shelf, but I was only browsing for something else. They didn't have the sought-after 2026 calendar, and the associate appeared too lazy to assist me in locating it. Lier I encountered at Walmart Canada I tried multiple times & ways when I was encountering Walmart account log in problems & had no choice but to call Walmart Canada on Oct 27/25. I was able to talk to a live person ONLY AFTER MUCH HASSLES & DIFFUCULTIES with their autobot phone system. It took a lengthy period of time before the Walmart emplyee could understand such simple & straight-forward issue as acoount log in issues & that I am not a high tech person & very much incapable/uncomfortable in terms of scanning whatever, what have you screen shot AND IT IS ONLY A SIMPLE ISSUE AS I WAS DESCRIBING TO HIM-----NOTHING HAPPENED WHEN I TRIED LOGGING IN EXCEPT THE PASSWORD ERROR MESSAGE (AND I USED THE CORRECT PASSWORD IN FACT!) & NOTHING HAPPENED WHEN I TRIED THE ''FORGET PASSWORD'' FEATURE! AND I DID TRY USING DIFFERENT BROWSERS, ETC! Eventually, I was told nothing that he could do & a ''technician'' would call me within 2-3 business. A person named something like ''UMUSH'' called me late afternoon of Oct 27. AND I HAVE TO REPEAT THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE & EXPLAINING & REPEATING WHAT I HAVE TRIED & WHAT I COULD OR COULD NOT DO. This supposedly a Walmart technician was again unable to offer any help other than wasting more of my valuable time. He promised me multiple times that he would contact their tech office & call me back around the same time on Oct 28. All around horrible service. Yes, there are some good staff but there are others, even up the ladder, that just ruin the experience. I was looking for an HDMI adapter and spoke to this possibly racist asian guy named Han, who pointed me in a direction. It wasn't there and after spending 20 minutes on a fool's errand, I politely asked him to physically show me. Apparently, that was too much trouble because he started arguing with me and pointing at where I just came from. I was confused. All I could do, since I couldn't find another floor staff, was continually repeat myself that I was just there for 20 minutes and didn't see the item hence why I would appreciate if he just physically pointed out the item all the same. He got mad, rolled his eyes, grumbled and stormed off to the location, yelling as he pointed at the wall of accessories. I was flummoxed. And turns out, he was wrong and the HDMI adapter wasn't even there. I told him to get his manager because he cannot speak to me or anyone like that. After waiting 30 minutes, no one came. I went to the front and requested the manager again. Another 10 minutes, the manager, Giselle, told them that she was too busy to see me. WOW!!! So I was completely disrespected by her staff for no reason and further disrespected by her, who couldn't even bother to step out for 2 minutes?! I left and called to speak to the general store manager, Steve, the next day. Turns out this one time I got him, when he told me there would be a gift card waiting whenever I showed up, was a fluke. Otherwise, good luck reaching this guy. When I returned from my trip that I told him about, I called to confirm that the gift card was there (before I travelled all the way down there) as I said I would. I left him a voicemail. He never called back. I couldn't even reach CSR most of the time. Odd. The day I finally did, these folks left me on hold for over 20 minutes each time. I had to call 3 times before they suggested taking down my info. Like, is the gift card there or not? Are you guys untrustworthy liars too? And given that Steve never called back when I left my info before, I'm not holding my breath. This is the worst service, all the way up the ladder. It's no wonder why the floor staff, Han, behaved like that with abandon. Just shocking. read more

This Walmart only get a star because it is clean, that's where the praise ends. The staff are generally poorly trained or rude at this place. Management here has no clue, they don't even know there own policies. I was told that you cannot price match and use a coupon, I had to show the "manager " the policy on the Walmart website that this was allowed, his response was this is something new, when it had been around for years. They have no fresh produce at this location and once you walk towards the garden centre area of the store it just seems like the space is being wasted as they had nothing decent to put around there. Line ups are long and slow and having poorly trained staff does not help the situation. Real shame, as I normally enjoy shopping at other Walmart locations, this is the closest locations to my home but I avoid it to go to the dufferin location or to one in the east end as the staff are better trained and also the selection is better. read more

Walmart damaged my credit because of their mistake. A Walmart employee filled out my credit card application, and used wrong address, and probably wrong phone number. The first purchase around $15 was charged on that card. I never received card or any statements/letters or any phone calls from them. They reported to credit bureaus. I found out after 8 months, paid off the balance. They promised to fix my credit but never did. Going to small claims court for that. Stay away from Walmart's credit card. read more

Dirty, messy, lots of areas of empty or mostly empty shelves (unusual for a Walmart) and poor selection. One star may be too many for the filth and line ups at this location . They often have very long lines , sometimes only one cash is open. When they finally open a new lane they are not trained to give the courtesy to people who have been waiting for 20 minutes already. The managers say "sorry hun". It also, unfortunately, is a very sketchy place in the evenings. read more

I went to 1305 walmart and the associate who has the key to the lock up is not approachable. I asked for baby formula infamil and she said what ever is in the lock up. i asked if she can check in the back she said do i need a manager to speak then she told me to go to the front end to asked for the manager. For me that not good costumer service instead of trying to find a way to check for the customer needs she asked me to go to the front to ask for manager. read more

As compared to others, this location doesn't really have anything to set it apart from the rest. One issue that I don't appreciate was having a cashier ask me regarding the Walmart credit card. He told me that swiping my other credit card was only for the reason to gain my basic personal information so I didn't have to waste time inputting it myself. Applying for a loan at the bank months later... I saw that they (Walmart) went into my actual records in order to check my credit. Not cool. I didn't even bother to activate the card. Shouldn't have employees selling something to customers when they aren't completely knowledgeable in order to explain such important details. read more

I went shopping at this Walmart location on a Sunday afternoon to pick up a few things and browse a bit. It was obviously very busy, being a Sunday afternoon and with school just starting so I already was prepared for that. At one point, I needed to check the price of something and asked an employee who was walking past me with a price gun for help. Either he honestly did not hear my repeated "Excuse me, excuse me!" or he knowingly walked away, likely annoyed by the previous loudly disgruntled customer. I can excuse this, sometimes my voice is pretty mousy and hard to hear. However, when I got to the cash register, it was awful. The young girl (Im not sure of her name but she was likely early-20s, long braided hair, kangaroo Roots hoodie in black pepper), stared at me with a cold face. I briefly smiled at her to help warm the situation, but she offered nothing back. She asked if I wanted a bag for my items and when I replied yes, that it was raining outside, she put the bag onto my purchased items and then asked the next person to come up to cash them out. Obviously annoyed and quite frankly shocked by the horrible service, I asked her if I had to bag my items myself, to which she replied "It doesn't matter." This individual should not be working in customer service. I rarely ever expect tip-top customer service going into Walmart, but this was just horrible. I will think twice before returning to this store. read more

I visited the Walmart location at 1305 Lawrence Avenue West in Toronto and recently became aware that the establishment is no longer accepting the returns of empty 18.5L water bottles due to the COVID-19 crisis. However, the company has not adjusted the price and is still charging the deposit fee associated with this item. The price of the water is $4.97 (displayed price which is misleading) plus the $10 deposit that is non-refundable. This is an unfair policy and is in conflict with the price matching policy pertaining to not going above the pricing of other retailers selling the same or similar items within their stores. Not only is the policy not fair, I received poor customer service whereby the personnel was rude, uncooperative and not helpful in resolving my issue when brought to their attention. I hope this policy is revised and customers will be able to purchase water at fair market value in the near future. This is price gouging and it is disappointing that Walmart appears to be taking advantage of their customers during this critical time. I look forward and will be monitoring any response. Its pretty average Walmart to me. I dont really expect a high end experience so its just ok and I was pretty satisfied. I have to admit the main thing that makes me come back to this one is the greeter. Who knew that a greeter could make such a difference but what a sweet man. He's so pleasant and definitely makes my day whenever I get a chance to speak to him. I do wish there were more cashiers open but i dont go often enough to really make a fuss. read more
