Not sure what kind of Walmart this is but it is certainly not ta typical Walmart Marketplace by no means. No fresh foods at all. They have no produce, no fresh meats or a deli/bakery. Not the most organized but for the most part we are able to make our returns and purchase necessities. They don't have a food section so buying lettuce is impossible for example. I do frequent here since it's close to my workplace. read more

We made a late-night stop to grab some snacks and candy before settling in for the night with the camper van parked nearby. This particular Walmart was reasonably well-stocked. Most of the shelves in the sections I browsed had what I needed, though there were a few gaps here and there. That kind of spotty inventory seems to be par for the course with Walmart, especially after peak hours. Still, the store itself was tidy, with no trash on the floors and aisles that were easy to navigate. The men's restroom was clean enough for a quick visit. Nothing fancy, but no unpleasant surprises either. Out in the parking lot, the cart corrals were mostly empty, which made maneuvering the van a little easier. I shop at the Walmart in Hammonton 93% of the time. I am a price conservative checker and always looking for bargains if possible. A few months ago I recall Eggs being marked up for crazy prices and now it's their gallon orange juice walmart bran to $7.89. Wow, once I spoke about the 18 carton eggs the price went back down in a day. I talked to a man who was putting other stuff in the cabinet and he laughed at me. I've actually had 3 bad experiences and the Hamilton Marketplace Walmart. I had owned a Cadillac and wanted an oil change. The technician said he couldn't get the cap off and sent me on my way. Sometime in June, 2025, I went to the same location with my Toyoto Corolla and they said I needed an appointment to have the oil changed. Today (8-2-25) I decided to see if they could change a back tire that had picked up a nail. It was around 10:45 a.m. There was one car being worked on and 2 technicians on staff. There were no cars waiting to be worked on. I asked if my tire could be fixed. The guy at the service desk looked something up and said his next appointment wasn't until Thursday, August 7th and that he was short handed. I've been a customer at this shop for quite a few years and was never treated so poorly. Their repair shop should go out of business because obviously, they do not want to repair cars -- not even for simple repairs. I will definately take my business somewhere else. Keisha at customer service was the rudest encounter I ever had at a Walmart. She was extremely rude, I'm not sure why they have her in customer service where it is clear she should not be working with the public. When u said calmly after such hostility for putting a return on counter still in bag "some people should not be in customer service", she replied"you not my first but one of many to say they were going to complain". All I can say is wow, Walmart has to be very desperate to allow an employee like that to continue to work there. This Walmart offers a Auntie Anne's and Subway as small fast food stations inside. There is a vision center and cellphone repair and accessories store. It tends to be pretty messy (even for a Walmart). It may have been a warehouse delivery day when I stopped in but it was really messy with boxes, crates, and pallet jacks in some aisles (really dangerous). They have a great variety like most Walmart stores. They DONT have a full grocery store section. They offer two freezer aisles of certain items like milk, eggs, and some fruits but I would not recommend shopping for produce or grocery items there unless in emergency quick grabs situations. The two times I purchased Blueberries and bananas they were old and bruised. Good housewares and birthday party accessories found here. Centrally located in Hamilton Market place with other great stores surrounding it. read more

Department Tires ,the Saturday 6,current year I replaced 3 New tires and installed when checked the light TPWS ( sensor tires pressure ) not working. I come back and explained and them not want assumed the responsibility, after various incidents ,and move up to Managers the situation the gave new sensors and sent to me another stores for installation turn the situation more worst and difficult for installation and service, I don't what happens but every customer be careful, that was bad experience. I had an appointment for an oil change at 8:00 am and my car wasn't done until 90 minutes later. There was no 5 point inspection, only an oil change. Why make an appointment if they don't adhere to it. They were attending to other cars that came in after mine. The techs were so slow and disinterested in their job. I have very little faith that they put in the correct oil and probably didn't even change the oil filter. Never again. BE AWARE, this place is the worse. read more

I'm giving 3 stars. Some employees are absolutely amazing! Some are pretending to work, playing on their phones. My 3 stars are for those amazing employees. The very tall young man in the electronics department is so sweet and so nice. Conversing with him while he helped me unlock my item made me feel not awkward asking someone to help. I'm 33, not a old lady. He was proud and personal. Not pushy, but so nice. He should work for Best Buy, honestly. I think he'd do amazing on the floor. I hope he reads this. The Auto Center has horrible customer service. I was told I can check the status of my car on the Walmart App. I was there for 2 1/2 hours and the whole time I was there the app said I was checked in waiting to be serviced. There was no one else in front of me, my vehicle was the only one there. I took my vehicle in for new tires, myself knowing my vehicle has wheel locks, I got the key out and left it in my truck right in the middle. I let someone know where it was and they said ok, a few minutes later I get a phone call from someone saying they cannot find the key because I have too much stuff in my trunk. The key was the only thing there. When my vehicle was done I got a phone call and all that was said was "car is done" and hung up. Then as I'm walking by with my wife, a guy starts yelling at us saying our car was done and we needed to pick it up. Keep in mind I had just received the phone call less than 5 mins before that and I was chasing my toddler so we can leave. Never again will I take my vehicle there! ZERO stars if possible! read more

Let me start by saying that I have never spent a cent in any Walmart. Not because they carry items that I don't need, nor due to their possible unfair wages. Mainly because I hate shopping and frequent stores that can minimize my time time spent in them. This visit came about when my 90 yo uncle needed help replacing a car battery that he purchased here. It took 45 minutes to test it and determine a replacement was warranted( and warrantied). There is a register in this department but we were told that we had to bring new and old battery to customer service to do the transaction. This resulted in me pushing a crappy cart containing 60(?) lbs of automotive equipment the entire length of the store. Next we wait in line for 15 minutes, next I get to push the replacement back through the entire store to get to where I thought my car was conveniently parked. Had I not been there would they have made my uncle do all this himself? Sadly I think they would have. But I get it, cheap prices right. Tons of choices and central locations. I even saw things that I might have come back to buy. This experience reinforces my original feelings about this store. And reinforces my choice of shopping at anywhere else. read more

I had a very bad experience at The Hamilton Marketplace Walmart today. I went for a magnetic screen. We looked online and it said that the store had it. We went and looked at the garden center. We couldn't find it. I went to customer service, the complete opposite end of the store. The customer service representative didn't greet me, was very unfriendly, and not helpful. She was white, young, had glasses, and was heavy set, I didn't bother to look at her name. I asked her if walmart carried it. She said "if" walmart had it it would be in the garden center. I said we were just all the way across the store in the garden center and couldn't She type it in the computer and see if WM had any stock. She said no and said to me rudely "I said no". I said it's easily done at Shop Rite and the other cs rep said "Well go to Shop Rite." They literally told me to go to another business to spend my money. The first rude rep could have called someone in the garden center to help me. I won't be going back to walmart anytime soon because of their attitudes. It's basic customer service. Customer service isn't always the best. They say they have products online. And you go in the store and they don't have them or not in the section the website says. So before going to look for zippo lighter fluid I check online and they said it was there. I call the store and they tell me "no absolutely not we don't have that". When I get to the store, they have tons of it. Thankfully one very nice employee helped me find it and had great customer service helper at checkout. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I ordered tires from Walmart.com on Dec 1st with an expected delivery date of Dec 17th. Before the 17th, I started calling the tire department with a question-they have never picked up the phone. As in, I've called 25 times with no answer. I had a friend go on December 22nd to check on the order-the customer service rep said they couldn't track the order but come back tomorrow and they can check if its in that day. Yeah-just what I want to do right before Christmas. Pay $50 more and go to STS, Pep Boys, or somewhere else. read more

First time back in this store in 4 years, service/appearance has gone down hill !! Phone ringing over the intercom for a duration of 5 minutes, it just kept ringing (at the very least take off the hook, to prevent the customers from hearing that constant loud ringing). Next to me I saw a stocker with a warehouse skid full of large bags of dog food, was busy yapping with a coworker. So he didn't maneuver the pallet jack properly, clipped the corner of the shelf and half of the skid fell off. So his coworker left the scene and he asked another gentleman (named Oxi ??) to get another skid, he did and started to transfer the bags onto the empty skid, all while the guy that created the mishap just stood there on his phone. Also, I heard him tell someone that is how it came off the truck. Well then if it did, he shouldn't have taken the skid out of the stock room and risk injury to a customer. He was a prefect example of a LAZY worker and a POOR example of someone in position of authority over the other gentleman (Oxi ??) as he cleaned up the aisle and helped transport the skids to the pet section. That lazy guy is pathetic excuse of a Walmart employee. A was going to approach him, but walked away...most likely to hide somewhere and avoid doing any real manual labor. It's a shame that people don't take responsibility for their mistakes!! read more

I have to admit having a bad attitude about Walmart. I have had a private boycott of this company for over a decade after representing some of their employees who were hurt on the job and received poor treatment at the hands of the human relations department. Sometimes there are more important things at stake than cheap prices. So, I violated my own principles the other day when I had an urgent need for an electronic piece that had to be obtained between a fast lunch and return to the office. Walmart was across the parking lot from the restaurant. I gave in. I felt like an escaped convict walking into a police station, in reverse. Everyone knew I didn't belong there. Even the happy greeters smiled with derision, and stared at me with their hands on their walkie-talkies ready to call security. Still, I made my way to the rear of the store where the computer accessories were located. The place looks just like every other huge box store. Same aisles. Same products. Same store associates. Found what I needed, but needed help from the staff to remove the packaged part from the security display. She was helpful and pleasant, and allowed me to pay for it right where she worked in the photo department. Who knows, maybe I saved a few bucks. I exited the store the way I came in. Everyone wished me a happy day and thanked me for shopping at Walmart. I grasped my plastic bag tightly, and thanked them as I finally exhaled. read more

Although the clothing section for women n men is quite decent anything else you need you might as well go to a location you know will have what you need. If you ever want to give yourself an instant headache, just walk into the Hamilton Wal-Mart. It's just a mess from top to bottom. No matter what time or day you go there, it is always crowded.The people who work there are miserable. The people shopping there are also miserable. I am miserable. It's just the most depressing place to go. And without fail, there will be at least 3 people driving around in wheelchair scooters. Haven't seen them yet? Just cup your hand to your ear to listen to the heavy breathing. That's how you know they are right on your tail. It's like the music in Jaws to my ears. Oh, and let's not forget the annoying "beep, beep" noises made when they need to back up and re-check the price on ding-dongs. Lovely. Became extremely itchy after touching them before realizing the dust. Flagged down an employee to ask if they had clean stock and he said "thats all we have so ohh well". The service tech Langdon was super helpful and the supervisor Jonathan got my road hazard replacement dealt with and tires replaced in excellent time. This will now be my go to for my cars tires. Here's how you know this location is atrocious; just try to call ANY department and you'll stay on the phone till the call ends. I have frequented this location several times and only received terrible service. I needed to contact the pharmacy regarding a prescription and was unable to get in contact with a pharmacist after trying 6 hours the first day and 8 hours on and of calling the next. The same week I had an extra charge on a bill and tried to contact the store to ask before disputing the charge, and again... spent HOURS trying to call with nobody answering. It seems management here is nonexistent, whoever works at this location doesn't do their job, and it's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Please do yourself a favor and never visit this Walmart. They have 0/10 customer service- even if you COULD get someone on the phone: I have never been able to, and always had to drive all the way there. Go to Nottingham way. The Marketplace Walmart is beyond horrible to deal with. I feel guilty even giving them one star. This place needs to fire management, and do a complete overhaul of staff. read more

This Walmart is by far the worst I have been to. My wife and I use have used Walmart often for many years all over the US. We moved to the area a year ago and have been using this Walmart since. (I'm done with it, I can't go back - they are so awful...We'll use the Walmart in freehold, it's about 2x this distance so we'll be going less but we give up on this one. We've been to this Walmart about 15x. They staff always looks very motley, and the customer service is the absolute WORST (ask anyone a question and you usually get a blank stare or unhelpful response). The store is often a mess (shelves out of order, dirty bathroom/shelves, missing items, things priced wrong). There are always (I mean every-single-time) long lines with lots of confusion. They cashiers are very poorly trained and often not nice. This is a nice area of NJ and I'm amazed at how poorly this Walmart is run. I'm truly a fan of Walmart and rarely leave bad reviews (I just stay quiet) but hopefully mgmt monitors Yelp and will make improvements. read more

This is probably the worst location in Jersey that I've been to and this just adds to my disappointment.
