I can concur with another reviewer that this is not your typical Supercenter and the stock is limited. I understand the reasoning of this, but why be such a disadvantage to the area if you attempt to be bigger than you are, but limit the choices inside. Came in here for nothing in particular. Since I was heading home soon, I figured I would pick up items I knew I would need, but weren't in dire need of them right away. I browsed through the aisles with no concept of time. I went up and down the aisles, no cart or basket, that way I would limit the amount I could purchase. I will say that the store was at least clean and organized. Even if the selection was lacking. In the end, I didn't get much, interacted with no one (self checkout), and made my way back out to my vehicle to get out of there. read more

While this store does have a grocery section, it's limited. This is not a full Supercenter and doesn't have the produce, fresh meat, and massive frozen section. Still, you can do a decent shop here. It's consistent with other stores I've shopped. I was able to find what I wanted, ring it up at the self-checkout easily enough, and be on my way. read more

The Gettysburg Walmart has saved me on several occasions! I'm in Gettysburg with my reenactment unit several times a year, and they've been a lifesaver when I forgot to pack something and once when I lost my asthma inhaler on the field. They saw to getting my replacement script filled and made it a painless process, which I was worried about since I live several states away. I don't usually have expectations when going to Walmart, but for goodness sake, this store is awful. The staff wouldn't even help me find something we were looking for because they were too busy talking with friends. The staff should consider that this is why so many people shop online. read more

Walmart - Department Stores Near Me - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

I have been quarantined for 3 weeks because I had allergy driven bronchitis, I don't get sick but I still quarantined I'm in a high risk list but low on it. So I went to this Walmart I needed so much ( no deodorant for 2 weeks! I went in the store was crowded which in PA it's supposed to be limited. People were acting like animals. Also in PA you are now required to wear a mask in every public place. Well this Walmart was practically maskless and I was passed by people at least 5-7 times within 6-9 inches . Then I was looking at frozen food and this man who had to be almost 80 and his granddaughter come right up not even a foot away and the old man lets out a nice cough. No covering the face no mask. By that time I just had to leave. I'm not dying because people are stupid and ignorant. Now I could get sick and if I do I'm suing Walmart so hard it'll make their head spin. I also contacted the Pennsylvania Governor's office by email and called headquarters. The manger was ignorant even though I was completely polite. No one listens to screaming. AVOID THIS STORE‼ it should be closed and cleaned. I may never go back to a Walmart it's such an unpleasant place to shop normally imagine today's experience and how they're cavalier about it. Walmart's don't care you'll be back. Well me probably not I'll use Amazon again for everything. I can't say I'm surprised experiencing racism in Gettysburg, PA but it's definitely a disappointment. As a black women shopping in Walmart it's sad to still be profiled in 2020. Get it together people! Ignorance is bliss. The doorman didn't even try to hide the fact he was profiling as I walked out the store with my receipt. He made it a point to insure not one, but two products were on my receipt. But we won't mention the caucasian women who walked directly out the store in front of me, the Caucasian man & his daughter that walked out in front of me & the gentleman behind me who actually commented on the fact that I was racially profiled. The irony in that situation is he was Caucasian. To Walmart, this is an issue & should definitely be rectified IMMEDIATELY!!! I visited this store on 1/27/2020. Every time I walk in this place, I'm like why did I even come here. But on Friday nights I have to kill an hour while my daughter is at dance class. Just came from this place and was very upset that they didn't even have cupcakes (being my daughters birthday) so I had to settle for lollipops. At least the cashier Becky was nice and polite. read more

This is by far the rudest Walmart that my wife and I have ever experienced on consistent basis. In the past we have had problems with the Customer Service Department for being as rude as they were. Other friends that we know have also said the same thing about that department, once we mentioned the problem with them. We now go to either Chambersburg or Hanover Walmart when we want to shop at this store. read more
