This Walmart is my favorite Walmart, I use to be here all the time when I lived on Long Island. They always have what you're looking for and are rarely low in stock. This location is also close to a grocery store and 5 below so you can make a bunch of trips in close proximity of one another. Sudden flat tire. No idea what or how but there was a tear in the sidewall that can't be repaired. I got the tire two years ago and purchased the road hazard insurance but there isn't a Discount Tire anywhere near here. So I'm stuck replacing it out of pocket. I pulled in to Walmart on a holiday Monday morning with no appointment and hoped for the best. And I got the best. Mike got me figured out and helped me choose a new tire, then he got his guy Oscar to work. I was out the door with a new tire less than 15 minutes later. Yes, they replaced my tire, checked my other three (and the spare) and put the new tire on the old rim in a super quick blink of the eye. I have no idea what the rest of the store is about but I don't need any of that today. Just a new tire, mounted, balanced and installed. Five stars for Mike and Oscar. I love shopping at this Walmart but have a big problem with the way they lock up items!!! I purchase EVERY WEEK Equate Quit Smoking Lozenges which is located at the pharmacy location. I used to be able to have one of the pharmacy staff get for me and pay at pharmacy register, but they now do not allow pharmacy techs to have KEY to locked case. They finally put a push button to alert staff that someone is waiting for assistance. This week I waited 45 minutes pushing the button aprox 50 times....Pharmacy tech called numerous times also... and I walked up front to customer service desk and advised them I had been waiting 45 minutes.....I finally gave up and left without them! This happens EVERY WEEK!!!! Whats the purpose of locking them up if you can't get anyone to open them up....I proceed to walk up and down isles asking the staff if they have key!!! So now people can't steal them, BUT WE ALSO CAN'T PURCHASE THEM EITHER...GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!!!! read more

This review is pre-Covid Not only are the employees rude,store is filthy especially fitting rooms but I went to use the front restroom once (which is gross af) but when you gotta go, you gotta go, there was an older couple LITERALLY doing it in the bathroom!!!! How disgusting! I was the one who had to tell them to gtfo your gross etc. Like there was a mom bringing her child to use the bathroom how low class can people get by doing this and how did the employees not see this because it is located right outside of the customer service desk! Gross. Good for grabbing stuff you need in a hurry and for cheap but thats the stuff you have to deal with. And dont gi last 8pm cause they'll block every isle with pallets of inventory making it almost impossible to get anything meanwhile the store closes at like 10/11! read more

I understand fully that there is no incentive here whatsoever for employees to do a decent job. However out of a sense of humanity they might try. Since they are locked up if you want to buy spray paint there is a buzzer to push. So I do. Again. And again. And again. In the meanwhile I look all over for help. I find one lady who proceeds to disappear. Finally track someone down---about two aisles up. No apology. I only go here because of the prices--- and that isn't too often. It's the pits. read more

This wal mart is terrible I waited 40 minutes to get a car battery, to then get charged the wrong price, for the manager of that department to say she could do nothing for us after we waited 20 minutes for her to get back from her 2 hour lunch as she shamelessly said to her employee who was being over worked in his department. read more

The Walmart is fine, but the poor associates that work there are not getting the help they need. The return line was four people long, with other people who were not on the line rolling up to the customer service desk to ask questions. This forced the gal processing returns to stop and help them as well. You need TWO people to work the customer service desk. The return line is now 8 people long. And not one return has been processed while I wait. SCHEDULE MORE PEOPLE FOR EVERY SHIFT. These associates can only do a good job when they are supported. I called the store and spoke to someone who assured me they would send the customer service rep help. I've been waiting for 16 minutes now. She has gotten ZERO assistance. read more

Not really sure what the point of curbside pick up check in through their app is for when they take forever anyway. I called after waiting a while and was told that he was "looking for the item". Doesn't make sense because I was sent an alert YESTERDAY that the order was ready. I'll pay a few extra bucks and stick with Target down the road because their curbside pick up is awesome. read more

Today I was at the auto lube part of Walmart in commack. I went to pick up a couple of garden batteries, some degreaser and jbweld. I had a cart with 2 core battery exchanges and went to check out. I waited 20 mins for someone to simply take my money so I could be on my way! A few mechanics walked by, nothing! An associate walked by and I had to ask him for help, he got on the PA and called for someone at auto parts. 10 mins go by and nothing, another mechanic walked by and at least asked if he could help, but didnt. Another mechanic talking to a customer yelled out loud, hey can someone ring this guy up? Nothing. Finally an associate came named Kristine and she apologized for the wait, she just came on shift and had me going in 5 mins. She apologized again and I said thank you. She was very nice. If it wasn't for her saving the sale, I'd be writing corporate a nasty letter. So this bad yelp review is for the rest of the employees who simply dont give a ****! If you dont like your job, quit and let someone else who actually needs the job take pride in their employment. read more
