I can't say enough about how great this place is. They really saved our bacon! On a Saturday…read moremorning, on our way from Greenup to our family reunion in Lexington, we started hearing a weird noise and smoking from one of our wheels. Before my brother made it from the driver's seat to check out the wheel, I Googled garages and was talking to the folks at Eddie's. They took us in immediately, fixed the wheel and had us back on the road before most places are even open! This all happened between about 10 and 11am. Boyd Co. Ford screwed up the brake installation and the crew at Eddie's fixed their mistake. A mistake that could've been deadly. (Thanks again, for your consistently crappy work, BCF!!) The owners entertained us with jokes and stories and kept us company the entire time. The cost was way less than we anticipated too. I would HIGHLY recommend Eddie's. They were--literally--lifesavers!!

The crew at Eddie's is one of the dirtiest I have ever had the unfortunate event of encountering, and doing business with, in my 12 years in Morehead. I took my car in to have it looked at. I knew I needed my motor mount replaced, and took the mount in with me. I was charged a ridiculous amount comparitively to other places I had checked with, but I had been told they were good and worth it. When I picked up my car, they told me I needed another part, so I reluctantly bought this part as well and allowed them to continue their work. Upon picking my car up the second time, they then inform me that my car needed another motor mount and all new belts. With this one, I refused. Every time I went in, they told me they knew what was wrong and could fix it, but would only return with more repairs that they had 'just found' which tells me that they didn't thoroughly check the car as I had asked of them to begin with. My suggestion...go next door! Better work at a much better price! Additionally, seeing as it is a college town with a very diverse ethnic group, I feel responsible to inform the people of my community that you are inadvertently supporting one of the most racist people I have encountered in my years in Morehead. Upon conversing with the OWNER in my numerous trips to his facility, he spoke not so kindly of other races - common racial slurs included - and that was my final straw. I was informed of his own grandchild's interracial relationship, as well as his unwillingness to have any further communication with her due to said relationship! People should know who and what they are giving their money to!

Written on my husband's behalf…read more If I could leave a zero I absolutely would. I traded in my car for a truck at the end of August 2024 and it is now the end of October and they still have yet to get my truck registered. And get this, they've already sold the vehicle I traded in! They kept my license plate upon trade and after me calling over a month later asking about it they told me it was all taken care of and to come get my plate (mind you I live an hour from the dealership). A month later I get a collections notice on the car I traded in saying I was late on my payment. WHAT?! Tim Short was supposed to send in the payoff and didn't! I called and told them and they said they'd take care of it. I waited a week and called my bank and nothing had been sent. I called the dealership and threatened legal action and lo and behold it somehow got paid that day! Since I picked up my plate I thought everything was fine until last week. I work 9 hours from home and I was surprised when I walked out to my truck one day last week to find a TOW NOTICE on my window for an UNREGISTERED VEHICLE! My truck is STILL not registered in my name! My plate is still registered to my original vehicle I traded in which is now owned by someone else. The lady I spoke with at the dealership said that they don't keep tags? Then why did our sales rep keep it? We were also told (when we called after the first month) that whoever was in charge of handling registration left my paperwork on her desk and went on vacation. Then I'm told that my Certificate of Origin they had requested from wherever was destroyed when they received it and they don't know how or why. They also couldn't tell me why they don't have a new one. I nearly got a ticket and my brand new truck towed because they've had 2 months to do their jobs and haven't done it. I'm almost 40 and never had a ticket! The lady I spoke with said there are only two of them in the office doing all that paperwork. All I know to tell Tim Short is that they'd better hire a few more people to help in that department because I've been told I'm not the only one that's had this problem. It's all so very unprofessional. I will never do business with Tim Short again and will discourage others as well.

I asked about the warranty since I had to have it fixed by another facility. I sent pictures, I called and asked. Finally I needed my jeep so had a different shop fix it. The next he told me that it needed a engine and he could put a used one in for $6,100.00. A week or so later I went by to see how the job was going and to my surprise, I was told that they couldn't get a used engine and before telling me this, the mechanic "Steve" had the front end off and the engine tore halfway down. I was then informed that the cost for rebuild was going to cost $8,100.00, I told him that I couldn't afford that and the "mechanic" got mad and told me that he could throw all the parts in the bed of truck and I could get someone to come and get it. Like anyone would touch it like that!! I told him to go on with it since I knew no one else would pick up where he' left off. Took about 3 months to supposedly rebuild the motor. I went the day after to pick it up, after I got the call saying it was done. I got there and went to the truck and started it which before it had run 5 seconds the "mechanic" told me not to start it because he need to check the fluid levels. While the "mechanic" climbed up on the engine compartment to do something (no fluids to check at the back of the engine) I went into the office to sign the paperwork for the guarantee and was informed that the cost was now over $8,200.00!! The "mechanic's" answer was he had to buy fluids, and I didn't catch what else because by this time I wasn't very happy. I voiced my opinion about that, the "mechanic" got mad and as I was leaving (after he asked me to leave and come back the next day) he was calling every foul, disgusting and socially unacceptable names one can imagine. 3 days later I went back to get the truck, and he won't let me take it out for a test drive but was nice enough to let me start it. After I started it, it had a bad miss, and you could hear valve clatter. Of course, the "mechanic" said it would work itself in and stop. I told him that when he had it "FIXED" I'd come get it. The "mechanic's" reply was "I'll just drive it around some more and work in." If you do business with this place, you'll need at least a gallon of Vaseline!!!
