They said parts I know don't even exist needed to be replaced and in addition claimed there was rust that needed to be welded, that also didn't exist. Claiming over 4k in repairs would be needed. So obviously I brought it to another shop and passed with minimal repairs costing well under $500. Avoid them like the plague, they're just some scam artists that take advantage of people.

I went back later after getting Handy Toyota to put it on their lift and give me an opinion, rather than letting me take it they sent a salesman to sit with me. The truck checked out with just a couple small items needing attention I paid Handy's for their time and headed back to Nucar to purchase the truck. As we were drove back I told the sales guy i was ok with buying it but would like them to take care of the things if possible. The salesman went over to his manager to get the paperwork and came back a few minutes later super upset and informed me the truck had already been sold yesterday to another dealer and they couldn't sell it. I drove it to a nearby shop and they had to use pliers to open the hood. They even stated that that should have been fixed. Clearly no one since J&L has accessed the hood as they wouldn't be able to even open it! And J&L Service Center was the last one access my engine. They denied accountability. Had they owned up to it and simply fixed it I would not be so angry. I understand things happen, that are often out of our control, however, they didn't inform me that it happened and simply sent me on my way with it. Dangerous and irresponsible. J&L .. This has happened to me on multiple occasions. It's deeply frustrating for people who work insane hours to take the time to drive over (with plenty of time to spare), only to be told in a very brusque manner that they aren't accepting any more cars. It should be noted that other locations don't seem to have this problem- it seems to be a quirk of workplace culture specific to this particular location.
