I purchased a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 with 23000 miles on it from Handy Downtown at the end of…read moreAugust,2025. I have had two issues with the vehicle since the purchase. The day I bought the vehicle the check engine light turned on 25 miles from the dealership. I brought back the vehicle the next day and it was determined that it was a grille sensor(recall). I was given a rental and was informed the next day that my vehicle was ready to pick up. I was unable to pick it up that day due to living in New York, so I was informed it was okay to pick up the following day. The next day I showed up and I was informed that the truck was not ready. I had to wait for the dealership to take a look. They determined it was a grille sensor that was a recall. It was back ordered, so they scheduled it to be done later and it was fixed at no cost due to being a recall. The communication was terrible across the board. The next issue was not such a small issue. In early October, 46 day's from when I purchased the vehicle I had to have all front and rear rotors replaced. I had this done at a GMC certified shop, because it is closer to my house in New York and I was not entirely pleased with how the recall situation was handled, communication wise. When I called Handy downtown to inform them of what was going on they informed me that they would not cover any of the cost. I spoke with Chris Carey(salesperson I bought the vehicle from) and Logan(manager)on the phone and neither one was willing to work with me to address this issue. I stressed the fact that I had only bought the vehicle a month and half ago and that it only had 26000 miles on it, which is 3000 more than when I bought it. Logan stated that brakes are wearable items and not covered under warranty and went on to list a number of other reason why they would not cover the cost. The truth of the matter is they sold me a vehicle that was unsafe and I put my family in that vehicle. The fact that they were not willing to work with me at all was down right wrong. I hope that no one else in the future has to go through such a terrible buying experience. I will not and can not in good faith ever recommend them to someone.

My third used vehicle purchase at Handy's Downtown location. Fabulous staff, working hard for my…read morebusiness every single time! Ask for Frank Marshall, an easy going, knowledgeable sales rep. You'll be glad you did!
