I wish I could rate at zero stars. 1 technician available on a Sunday. Never been less than a four hour wait. Horribly managed.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change

(47 reviews)

Let's face it: no one jumps for joy when it's time to get an oil change. Thankfully, places like…read moreValvoline make it a little less painful when you've reached your limit and you need to hit the shop. A tip I'd always recommend is looking for coupons online before going to any oil change shop. I found a $10 coupon online and I'm not one to complain about saving a couple bucks! The coupon was for synthetic blends specifically, and that's what I usually put in my car. It runs just like it should. My least favorite part about oil changes is trying to avoid the possible upcharges between fluids, wipers, filters, etc. The mechanic taking care of me was great, though, and he didn't try to sell me on anything over the top. I'll admit I do need an air filter change, but my dad helps me with that to save a few bucks. Last night was my first trip to Valvoline, and it certainly won't be my last. The friendliness and quickness of service were above and beyond what I'm used to when getting simple oil changes, and it makes a difference. I'd recommend coming here to anyone!

I didn't refuse to comply, but I ended up without an oil change the day before my Thanksgiving travel. Additionally Valvoline has consistently overfilled my oil, but I missed my chance to point that out to them today

Pep Boys

Now this is how service should be done, and how all Pep Boys should be. If you checked my review of…read morethe Pep Boys in Cranberry, PA, you saw what a crappy experience I had, topped off with the worst customer service I've ever encountered anywhere. Now, I usually take my car to the Steubenville Pike Pep Boys, so the Cranberry thing was just a one-off because at the time I thought it would be more convenient as I was in the area and figured the service was good at my usual location, so why not elsewhere? Won't make that mistake again. Anyway, last weekend I took my car in due to some rumbling noise in the rear which I thought was due to a bearing. Turned out I needed my struts replaced. So Bob, ace Pep Boy extraordinaire at this location told me he could take $100 off with some in store coupons to buffer a bit of the cost as I would also need an alignment, which goes hand in hand with this sort of job. So I took my car back in today. They fixed the struts, but Bob informed me they found some other weird noise after that. I was a bit saddened by the news as this is a '99 Camry I'm driving with over 200,000 miles on it. Great car, still drives excellently, but these little repairs can add up fast. When I went to pick up my car and pay for the struts, Bob informed me that the other noise was being caused by the bushings, and that he just comped that for me, saying, "I just wanted to make sure it was 100% for you." Awesome. Just, fantastic in every way. I also got the discount that he mentioned the week before. So all in all, I was a happy guy, fully vindicated after the disaster that was my previous trip to the Cranberry Store. This is the Pep Boys you want to go to if you're in the area. The staff is friendly, they know what they're doing, and they're not there to just punch in and out and pick up a paycheck. Bob went out of his way to make sure I got service above and beyond what I expected just because he's Bob, and he's awesome. So take note, corporate heads of Pep Boys, this is a stellar store and one all your others should be modeled after. The Cranberry location can still eat it.

Two different vehicles, two different days we were told we needed over $1100 and $1500 in work in order to pass. We wanted second opinions so we went somewhere else each vehicle we got two additional opinions and neither vehicle needed anything additional to pass our inspections. This is foul and I swore I would never be able to have a negative experience anywhere here because PA is such a great place. Well Pep Boys congratulations on being our first negative experience in this state! Will NEVER EVER use them again!!!

Leanna (I think that's her name) was doing whatever she could to make the customers experience the best. The man who sits next to her is absolutely hilarious and is so extremely knowledgeable about vehicles. The service was very prompt. My car even had some issues I didn't know about and one of the mechanics came to talk to me personally about it and showed me pictures to help me understand. I called ahead for an estimate and they were right on the money. This place will never take advantage of you. I have verbally recommended to so many people already! Also side note I am not originally from PA and back home my dad would always help me with car troubles. When I don't have that type of access available in Pittsburgh, it's so nice to find a place that will not take advantage of you because you're a clueless, young woman. This place treated me with respect and excellently explained all the questions I had. If you are worried about getting ripped off from a mechanic or don't have a lot of knowledge about your car troubles, this is the place to go!!! I recommend to anyone!!

I can't sing the praises of CarSense enough. I absolutely LOVE this place! We have purchased 2 cars…read morefrom there, and both experiences were incredibly pleasant. We had to buy the second one after our first was totaled, but we got to work with Jaison both times, as well as Chester the second time. They were both unbelievably kind and helpful in ensuring a comfortable and relaxed buying experience. They also were so helpful in answering all of our questions, and they really cared about my husband and I way beyond the sale. 10/10 would recommend! Also, I've used the "service" side of CarSense and their service is seriously unmatched! Eric and Bill are super nice and patient, and you can be assured that your vehicle is in the best hands. They don't try to sneak extra charges on like many other mechanics will. I love the honesty and integrity that they have, and I always look forward to visiting when my car needs work done. Thank you guys so much!!

It tookseveral phone calls just together through to the service desk. I made an appointment for 7 weeks in advance for the annual inspection. The inspection went well, I only needed one tire to pass, and they didn't have it in stock so I was asked to call back. Again it was impossible to get through to the service desk. I got a message to buy a medical device or it went straight to Car Shop Cranberry. When I spoke with someone at the Cranberry location. I was told they couldn't make any appointments for the Robinson service desk, and they couldn't transfer me to the Robinson service. The clerk said the Robinson shop phones "didn't work". I was going to go into the Robinson service area in person, but on the way, I drove by 5 tire stores. I'll make an appointment at one of those businesses for my one 129.95 tire. And Carshop has lost our entire family's business. We used to only buy our cars their and always had a great experience. Maybe 3 cars bought there in ten years doesn't mean anything to whoever changed Carsense to Carshop. But im not buying a car from someplace that doesn't have phones that work.
