One of the items suggested by Ms. Brenda was an extension pipe. purchased it. After completing the plumbing I returned all unused items including the extension pipe within 7 days. The sticker still on the pipe, no marks, no scratches anything. I was told by Ms. Brenda I couldn't return tge pipe. They don't take back cut pipe. I said ma'am I didn't cut the pipe. This is exactly what you sold me. She said we don't take back cut pipe and pushed the pipe to the side. I said again ma'am I didn't use nor cut the pipe this is what you sold me. She ignored what I was saying and did not refund my money for the exact pipe she when to the back and picked up and sold me. When they suggests items to their customers that are not returnable they should tell them upfront and not wait until they try and do a return. To me that is poor customer service. Overall they are good and kind people, but lacking in some areas of customer service. Be upfront with the customer, so they can make a wise decision whether or not if they want to loose that money if the item can't be used. Even better have something posted, so the customer can see items that are non returnable when making their purchases.

I was told if I came in at that time it was about a 90 minute wait; so I scheduled an appointment for the following day (today) at noon. I am recovering from a major surgery and sitting for several hours to wait would be painful and exhausting. I arrived early (11:45) in case any paperwork needed to be done. At 2:45pm a staff member approached me, I thought my car was done, I was wrong. He was giving me an update that there was still one car in front of me. I have been here for 3 1/2 hours as I write this and my car still hasn't been started. They said nothing about being behind when I checked in at 11:45, or I would have rescheduled as I had other appointments this afternoon which I am now missing. I would have left but I was under the impression they were working on my car while I sat here. Incredibly unprofessional with no basic respect or courtesy for their customers. This was my first and LAST time using a pep boys. Edited to add, changing from 1 to 5 stars for their honestly after evaluating, they confirmed that my brakes are not critical as my dealership told me, still perfectly safe to drive. They could have lied to make more money by replacing them but that still would have had to be done another day.
