The folks at TMR really are as good as it gets. Not only did they get me in and out in one day when…read moreno other garage in the area could, they were diligent, courteous, and cared about my needs and concerns. If I had a question about something they were doing, they answered it and showed me the issues. The prices couldn't be beat either. After all was said and done, they had fully inspected my brakes, discovered the reason the Brake light was on was because of a hidden leak in my passenger front brake line, changed out the line, changed my oil, AND had cleaned out my throttle because I had discovered this morning, the original reason for bringing it in actually, that my 03 Cavalier wouldn't say running once I turned it over unless I held my foot on the gas. All of that for less than $200. Friendly, reliable, knowledgeable. A+ All around. I know where I'm going now on for all of my car repair needs.

I just happened to stumble on Advanced Automotive (AA) when my car broke down on RT 138. This area…read moreis pretty rural and trying to get to tow in Hartford was impossible- so I called AA who was less than a 1/2 mile down the street. Bill the owner and his daughter Jess couldn't have been better. They got my car towed to their shop within 15 minutes, outlined the time and price to fix and also was concerned how I was going to get back home (Hartford). My car was fixed in a day, the price- so reasonable (didn't charge for the tow because it was only down the street) and my car runs perfectly. If I was in the area- they would be my go to- local, honest and nice.

You be the judge, don't ever go here. Bill from Advanced…read moreAutomotive refusing to admit any responsibility or even ask his mechanics to even take the time to confirm. Had my 2020 Honda CRV in for a routine oil change. this is the "only" place that has opened the hood since I bought the car in the spring. after the last oil Change the next day less than 24 hours emission's light came on. light came on and off for about 2 weeks then remote starter wouldn't work and light stayed on. took it to the Honda dealership that i bought it from figuring it was covered under warranty. instead they found a pair of pliers with also a sharp cutter combo. clearly it was left in the engine from my last oil change from Advanced Automotive seeing they were the only ones who worked on the car and the warning lights came on the next day. the Pliers were cutting into the wires and needed to replace O2 sensor etc.. Had the Honda dealership fix it for around $380, labor, parts etc. went back to Bill At Advanced Automotive and he denied any responsibility. said it wasn't his tool and it was an electrical tool. no it's a pair of pliers with a wire cutter, pretty common tool covered in years of grease. continues to deny any responsibility. I asked him to check with his mechanic because it looks like he sits at his desk and wouldn't know if someone else left it there. he refused. wouldn't look me in the eyes and I don't really care about the money it's the principle and lying. this was the 3rd time I've had to bring my car back next day on 3 different cars. last time I spent $200 on a tow again next day after leaving his shop for over $3000 on PM services on my 2011 pilot. serpentine belt falls off. never had a problem with my 2011 pilot until the next day of $3k in PM service. his response was "well in hindsight I probably should of replaced the tension pulley". seriously after changing timing belt, flushing all fluid, valve job etc. again pilot was running perfectly fine just wanted to keep up on the PM at 150k. I will be looking for a new reputable mechanic for both of my Hondas. I hope Karma finds Bill!!
