The mechanics…read moreare without a doubt the most incompetent and questionable people that I have ever made the mistake of letting touch my truck. I have always done the maintenance on my truck myself but a few months back my oil was due for a change and my wife and I had to make an unexpected trip to Pittsburgh for a family emergency. So I went against my personal code and decided to go to a garage and unfortunately "George's Tune Up" was the only place that could get my in the next morning. When I arrived I should have known not to turn my truck over to them but as I said we had to be in Pittsburgh that day and I did not have time to do it myself. My appointment was at 8:00 a.m., I arrived at 7:45 Andy the owner (I'm assuming) showed up at 8:20. He was driving the same type of truck as mine (which was in rough shape) and when he got out without so much as a "hello" he pointed and said "I'll give you $50 dollars for your wheels and rear bumper". It was at this point that I could tell that he was high. His eyes were blood red, he was slurring his speech, and he smelled of marijuana from 10 feet away. Again I knew that I shouldn't turn my truck over to this guy but as I said I had to be in Pittsburgh that day and the clock was ticking. I thought "well the comment about the wheels and bumper must have been a joke" (it wasn't, by the way), and he obviously partook in taking illegal controlled substances, but I pushed my worries aside thinking maybe he I said just a manager or supervisor and that he doesn't actually work on the vehicles. (He does I found out) Anyway to make a long, and very agrivating story short I took the truck to Pittsburgh and back but I noticed I that it was running a little hot. So when i got home I checked it out and it was at that point that's I found power steering fluid in my radiator. This ignoramous was actually so out of it that while topping off my fluid levels he added power steering fluid into my radiator expansion tank. It still has me outraged and as I said this happened several months ago and it's taken me this long to write a review because,frankly it took this long to calm down from the whole experience just to keep a level head while writing this review. So to sum this all up don't ever go to George's Tune Up the best thing to do is handle the maintenance yourself if you have the time and know how. If you can't I would strongly recommend taking a short drive out Baltimore Pike in Cumberland, MD to Twiggs automotive they're really the only mechanics in the tri-state area that can be trusted not only to charge a fair price but to also complete the job correctly with no worries of mistakes, such as adding power steering fluid to the radiator. I hope this's review helps to save someone from the same headache I got as a result of using George's Tune Up. Thank you.

The last 5 minutes was because only one technician knew how to use the computer to charge the customers. Imagine my shock at finding out that a simple, no-frills oil change cost $117 plus tax! I go to Valvoline basically religiously for my oil changes so I'm used to their operating methods. I travel all over so this was my first trip to this location. 1. After I had my service I was told they don't accept the company coupons. I had just gotten a coupon in the mail the week prior for $25 off my oil change. They wouldn't accept it. So now I'm there with my service completed and I have to pay full price. 2. The guys took FOREVER to get us in and done (50min just waiting to pull in). I realized after I got in why, they tried to offer me NO JOKE... 5 different additional services and this was adding much more time to the flow of people who just want to pop in for a quick oil change. I get that you're trying to offer more services and all that but you're not an automotive repair shop and that's why people go through a quick oil change place like this... so you can get in and out without it being 90min ordeal. When he handed me the printout, I was stunned, because it was the same thing that had happened to my 2013 SUBARU three years earlier. The SOLENOID had gone bad. Again. After only 20,000 miles. Anyhow, Mr. Tire doesn't do that work. He suggested I get it towed. My son on the phone said drive it home. The advisor at Mr. Tire was RIGHT. I didn't make it home. A $100 flatbed tow later, I was home. The good news? Mr. Tire did not charge me a dime for running the computer analysis. Those guys are great.
