I am late writing this but I figured better late than never…read more I went here a month or so ago with a very strange request. I got to this store at 8:43 pm mind you they close at 9. I needed to return the front break pads I had bought from the advanced auto parts in Waterloo Iowa because they had sold me the wrong ones. The receipt was merely a copy on my phone , all I had was a picture of what the break pads should look like. I know right ... But , Mandy and the gentleman that was also there , (definitely an employee but he was off the clock it seemed) went above and beyond for me!! We opened and checked at least 12 boxes and almost gave up when something I said clicked for Miss Mandy and she found the ones I needed!!! See I couldn't tell her if my vehicle was an SE or sxt or what not . It was not marked anywhere as such and beings that it was once an undercover detectives car it made things even harder. I don't know if I have ever experienced such awesome customer service as I received from these two that night! And mind you I've worked in the hospitality industry all my life. They both deserve a pay raise at the least and a good gift card to show appreciation hands down. THANK YOU BOTH ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP THAT NIGHT!!! Once done it was well after closing and they both just stood there smiling and happy to have been able to help me in such a way! I recommend everyone goes there for their car part needs and make sure to tell them both how awesome they are. I'm sorry I can't remember your name Mandys helper,,, but he had good style choices , killer blonde hair and some nice jewelry if that helps the old bosses figure out who I'm talking about. Stay just the way you are !!

I like Blain's but I find it interesting they are promoting this food truck meat sale in the…read moreparking lot with Farm and Fleet's TV own ads. We stopped at the meat truck to buy the 20 ribeye's for $39 bucks as advertised, as simple as that. Instead, the guy tries to upsell all of these different meat packages for $100's of dollars. He's tries to push the biggest one the most for about $450. Then when he's sees you're not taking the bait on any of these different packages he starts dropping the prices. It's a fast paced hard sell for about 10-15 mins ‍ Nothing we were interested in. We kept shaking our heads no at every one of them and saying no. He doesn't give up until you say NO about 10 times. Almost like dealing with a telemarketer over the phone except you're in person. Let us buy the ribeye's the first day you're here and try them. If they're good we'll be back before the last day you're here and maybe buy something else. Unfortunately after trying them even with tenderizing they were still tough to us. We'll just grind them up and use them for burgers. Finally, my wife and I both said, we're here for just the 20 ribeye's for $39 bucks. He then surrendered and sold us what we asked for to begin with‍ What a frustrating waste of time. Had we known it was that involved just to buy what we came for we would have never stopped. Guessing that Blaine's doesn't know or didn't do much vetting. I'm giving Blaine's the benefit of the doubt here.

It felt kind of cheap and definitely nothing like a solid well made shifter ball. It actually sat a little too low for my liking; that it's to say when my arm was on the console rest my hand had to drop to reach the knob. On the other hand the twisted shifter knob sits high enough so that my arm is ergonomically straight and perfect, kind of like avoiding carpal tunnel syndrome. Next for some reason I'm not an engineer, but the throws feel so much better it's almost unbelievable. Sure it's not a snickety as my Miata but it sure is nice. I don't know what the difference is maybe the added weight but the shifting is beautiful in comparison to the original knob. Also the red colored numbers that match my red Bronco
