I am late writing this but I figured better late than never…read more I went here a month or so ago with a very strange request. I got to this store at 8:43 pm mind you they close at 9. I needed to return the front break pads I had bought from the advanced auto parts in Waterloo Iowa because they had sold me the wrong ones. The receipt was merely a copy on my phone , all I had was a picture of what the break pads should look like. I know right ... But , Mandy and the gentleman that was also there , (definitely an employee but he was off the clock it seemed) went above and beyond for me!! We opened and checked at least 12 boxes and almost gave up when something I said clicked for Miss Mandy and she found the ones I needed!!! See I couldn't tell her if my vehicle was an SE or sxt or what not . It was not marked anywhere as such and beings that it was once an undercover detectives car it made things even harder. I don't know if I have ever experienced such awesome customer service as I received from these two that night! And mind you I've worked in the hospitality industry all my life. They both deserve a pay raise at the least and a good gift card to show appreciation hands down. THANK YOU BOTH ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP THAT NIGHT!!! Once done it was well after closing and they both just stood there smiling and happy to have been able to help me in such a way! Cindy was so wonderful in helping suggest something I didn't even see. I was interested in a device but it wasn't on sale. She pointed out something else that was cheap and on sale!! Then asked which flavor I wanted -- which I would have gotten the device without the pods, so she saved me from making another trip. Tom and Selena are incredible! 12/21/20 Thanks to Cindy's recommendation I've still been using the device she got me hooked on! This is my favorite place to stop. The majority of the time the employees are friendly, fast, and quick to offer help or alternatives if something isn't available. Even with lines out the door they manage to get the line thinned out - though sometimes i wish they would give cashiers extra help when there is a line and only one person ringing people up. This location is ALWAYS busy - I've only been there once when it was empty. They have hot food to go, prepackaged meals to heat up for convenience, snacks, shakes, coffee, cold beverages, items like butter/eggs/sour cream, and a beer cooler. Great if you don't want to make the trip to the grocery store!

Beware of using Mike's Transmission in Fulton. Took my wife's car there to have some diagnostics…read moredone on it cuz there was light on in the dash. Well, he said it could possibly be the battery so I told him to change it out. He had one of his guys change the battery, which his guy says took him 20 minutes, and he said it was "running like a dream" other than a whining noise from the front end. Well, his guy took it upon himself to put it up on the rack and do quite a bit of extra work, of which none was authorized. Only, after all of the extra work, was it put on a diagnostic machine for evaluation. I was then informed that they weren't exactly sure what was wrong but there was nothing they could do to fix it. So, for the low low price of almost $800, I am in the exact same boat as when I took it to him in the first place. I told him it was BS that he was charging me for basically nothing, so he reluctantly dropped the price down to $340. That's nearly $500 in extra charges for unauthorized "repairs" just to pad the bill. I'll never go back and recommend using caution if getting work done by him. I've seen news shows about this kind of stuff and it's bad. When I asked him for a detailed bill of all charges, he gives me a bill that says "General repairs and diagnostics". All I can say is I got scammed.
