    Bread pudding

This restaurant always has such friendly service, incredible food, and decent prices. The Wally Wellington is a deconstruction beef Wellington, that is so good and tender. For appetizers, I love their crabcakes, and bang Bank, shrimp. For dessert. They have the best bread pudding, I've ever had in my life!

Double whiskey old fashions sour, had three they were that good.

Tried this supper club and it was GREAT, we had the fish fry Northwoods style. The breading on the walleye was old school shore lunch cracker/butter coating. OUTSTANDING service, food was way over expectations, out standing a must place to go if you're looking for a supper club.

Poor Man's lobster dinner and Perch dinner with huge baked potatoes.

This was our first time here and we were very impressed with the food, service and price. I had the poor man's lobster and my fiancé had the perch. I enjoyed the quaint and cozy atmosphere as well.

    Wallys Wellington - excellent

Wally's South 17 is perfect stop for a classic Wisconsin supper club experience. Small and quaint with great cocktails, excellent food, and fun, friendly service.

We ordered the crab stuffed haddock and the muscles on cappers & linguine ~ both delicious! The service was great & very busy on a Friday evening. I like the cleanliness rating. We'll be back!

    Yes, this is the front.

We noticed that their menu had a separate area for wings so we knew they weren't your typical heavily-battered, deep fried wings. Fisher's is just a tad off of the main drag but still easy to find. It's located on a lake which was hard to see in the dark but I'm sure is beautiful during the day. I believe they have a handful of resort cabins for rent but again, it was hard to see in the dark. The bar itself is pretty small but very welcoming. They had it decorated nicely for the holiday season making it feel cozy. It's one of those bars that everyone turns to look at you when you walk in. The difference with this spot was everyone said hello instead of just staring at you. There was one bartender that took really good care of everyone. When we first arrived I was afraid we wouldn't be getting food (couldn't smell any cooking and there wasn't anyone else eating) but I think we were just early for dinner. We went with 2 dozen wings; sweet chili and hot buffalo. While they took a little longer than expected they were WORTH EVERY SECOND. These are some of the best wings we've ever had, anywhere. They were extremely meaty, perfectly crispy fried, and sauced. We actually finished them all - delicious. They have a special on their wings on Wednesdays. I noticed they have a pizza deal on Saturdays and a chicken dinner deal on Sunday. Service was great, wings were great, drinks were a good pour for a fantastic price. This will absolutely be our new place for wings.

While not as chic as a fine dining establishment in a metropolitan area like Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago or New York, it's as classy as it gets north of highway eight. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening - they could have accommodated us as walk-ins (and walk-ins are welcome) but I'd err on calling for a reservation and securing a table, especially on a popular day of the week. With a reservation we were promptly seated and waited on. I started with a dry martini and my wife picked a wine from a pretty decent wine list. It was a great martini--see my photos. Many of the items on the menu are what one would expect, but there were a few that piqued my interest, in particular the schnitzel. As a frequent visitor to the Austrian Tirol and Bavaria, I had to give it a try. My wife opted for salmon. The entrees included soup or salad. I went with lobster bisque and my wife went with chicken noodle soup. The bisque was rich and flavorful. Though the bread stick was out of a box as opposed to baked in house, it was an acceptable accompaniment to the soup. As for the entree, the schnitzel was prepared the way I like it--pan fried and not deep fried. With a properly breaded, seasoned and crispy crust, the pork itself was perfectly cooked. I could eat a schnitzel like this every day! The Spätzle was fine and the sauce tasted good but it was a little thin. The red cabbage was definitely sour but lacked the sweetness necessary to balance the acid. I'd suggest that the chef check out the red cabbage recipe from Alinea which has an excellent balance of sweet and sour. And one more suggestion to mimic the schnitzel I've had in the Tirol and Bavaria, a dollop of sweet jelly to spread on the cutlet--preferably a white wine jelly fortified with herbs like rosemary. That said, the dish was great and I would order it again. I only took a bite of my wife's entree, but the hollandaise and salmon was good. She especially liked the kale. To end the evening we shared a dessert. My wife makes a DG tiramisu and we've had some great tiramisu's in Italy. This one was right up there, though the espresso soaked lady fingers were a bit weak. Nevertheless, as you can see from my photo, we demolished it. A nice grappa or Tirolian schnapps would have been the perfect finale but alas the bar was not that well stocked. All in all a decent dinner, a place I will return to in the future, and a great addition to the culinary scene in the region.

We were in town for my daughters wedding and I called at about 5:30 to get a 6pm reservation for 6. They easily accommodated, and after being there for a few moments one of the ladies told us there was only 3 people working, but let me tell you, they never skipped a beat. Everything we ordered was delicious, and I highly recommend a crock of their house made soups. I had the French onion and it was so good. For mains my husband ordered the steak tips with spaetzel, friends got the pasta, but the real star was the empress chicken! It was perfect! Also.. I would be a let down if I didn't tell you to order the cheese curds. Fried perfectly, light and crispy, not greasy.. and so so so good! This is definitely worth a stop for anyone local or visiting!!
