Two of the other higher estimates were using 15 lbs felt and then the shingles. Roofs for life used a watertight peal-n-stick underlayment which I was unfamiliar with. I checked it out and it got totally great reviews as being better than felt. It was put on the same day, along with a new skylight, as the old roof was removed and from that point on my roof was watertight. 30 year shingles were then put on the next day. The workmanship of this company was terrific. they really wanted to be sure I has 100% happy with the roof and with them. Totally satisfied and highly recommend this company
