A beautiful space that provides a full selection of delicious wines. Music on Thursday evenings in the summer is one of our favorite nights to visit and listen to the entertainment with a glass of wine. read more

A beautiful location with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. Their wines are good and they have a couple fruit wines that are good to try! I recommend a flight as they have a good variety read more

We had an amazing time talking wine and life with Britta. She was a gem. So personable and hospitable. We learned about the history of the winery and the family passion for excellence. Amazingly generous samples of delicious wines and extremely accommodating for our kiddos. This is a MUST if you are in the area. Loved the jar of chex mix. Such a cute touch! If you are passing through. Stop you won't regret it! read more

Nice view. VERY dry wines ... which, I thought I'd like but too dry and too fruity for me. Couldn't even finish my tasting ... which, is ... unusual. Nice staff. Nice clientele. read more

The people are wonderful! The best hosts you could ask for. They have spectacular wine choices. I love the nights with wine and music! They are in the perfect location for beautiful country scenery and the sunsets are stunning. read more

Cute! Good variety of selection for such a quaint place, sweets to dry whites, reds and roses. Quick attentive service. Obviously it's Michigan wine. read more

These wines were great- definitely among the best-tasting in this wine trail! At $10 per person it's still a little pricy compared to what I'm used to paying in the Traverse City area, but that's actually one of the cheaper prices in this area so I guess I can't complain too much. Definitely worth a stop! read more

We came here over the summer with family and had a great afternoon! The tables were spread out far enough to feel safe due to COVID, but let me tell you every table was full! The wine flight was delicious and we loved the food they had to offer. My only reason it isn't getting 5 stars is because several times I had to ask for water and never received it. I wish they could have just given us a pitcher of water for our table and we could have refilled it. Otherwise it was a great place to breakout Monopoly Deal and enjoy some wine! read more

Not a fan of the wine or the experience. While the weather was beautiful and we were able to sit outside, the experience was lackluster. The person working did not share any information about the wines or make any suggestions. We circled a few choices and of the 5 we only thought one was even drinkable. Seemed like the employees couldn't care less if they had your business. In fact we almost left without paying because no one ever gave us a bill. read more

Enjoyed the small winery vibe and chatting with the owner. Went in off season and was happy to see they were open to taste!

Had a fun stop here. Good wine and safe place to taste. They have tables set up outside. all clean. Stop in and try it out. read more

A short quick, I'm guessing winter version of this winery. 4 QUICK pours for $7. Only real info was wines go from dry to sweet. Had to ask if they grow there own ,Produce it on site, who owns it etc. without asking questions- think, It would have been drink the wine and leave. read more

Truly enjoyed our tasting at Walloon Lake Winery. Great dry whites with some "new for us" varietals which are hybrids created for cold Northern climates. Excellent introduction to these from Taylor in the tasting room with newcomer/coworker diligently taking notes on all the questions which we had. The extra treats were meeting Marta, her husband, Tim and their daughter, the owners of the winery. We enjoyed glasses of the dry Riesling on the shaded front porch. Don't miss purchasing some of the mini stemless glasses with the Walloon Lake logo for "adventures at home". read more

Beautiful setting and great service. My husband and I frequently wine taste in CA and OR so I was intrigued by the idea of a Michigan winery. The wines whites were pretty sweet or very tart for my palate. I enjoyed the North Arm red and was very surprised that I really liked the sparking peach wine. It would be great over ice sitting by the lake. Great place to check out read more

Ambience was by far the best out of all the wineries we went to that day! The staff were really Engaging and definitely gave you that" part of the wine family " vibe for sure. Wine was pretty good. I wish they had food there even just snacks to help soak up all the wine. FYI - wine was pretty good too!! Wait ..... I mentioned that already. ‍ read more

Hats were very cute. 12 for a flight of 4. Absurd you can't buy a bottle to open on the winery for 18 but a glass is 10 dollars.

My husband and I visit this particular winery whenever we are in the area, and it never disappoints. This visit was different than the ones in the past, as it was during the covid pandemic. Since our last visit they have built a huge outdoor patio and that is where we had our tastings. Tables were spaced well apart from each other and masks were required. We found our table and Marta (Mrs. Owner) took our order. My husband and I split a flight and we chose all sweet wines. All of the wines were good, but the Boathouse was our favorite, once again. Our server (I cannot for the life of me remember her name, but was told that she is the owner's son-in-law's sister......her parents also live about mile from our home.....did you get all that?) was very friendly and helped make our experience a good one. The weather was great, so sitting outside was just fine, and felt much safer than being inside. You can rest assured that this is a good place to visit during this horrible pandemic. read more

Great wine. Wonderful cheese board. Great patio with view of winery. Affordable variety of wine. Indoor tasting room and outdoor seating. We been here annually, as it's one of our favorite wineries up north. read more

I just had the pleasure of visiting Walloon winery, Jeff was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went out of his way to give us a tour of the winery explaining the process. The wines were very good! read more

Walloon Lake Winery was our 2nd stop on our tour of the Petoskey wine region of Michigan. We were greeted by Matt who explained the difficulties of growing grapes in such a harsh climate. The charge here was $6 for four tastings which I thought was reasonable for the area. Our tastings were of a decent portion so that we could actually get an appreciation for the aroma and flavor of the fruit. Recommended. read more

Do not be fooled by the quaint cottage appearance! They knocked it out of the park for me! Friendly and helpful staff. The wines !!!! Solid quality that matches the description perfectly. Emily made this a fun visit! Great knowledge of the wine, the area, even down to the construction of the building the winery was at. Pretty impressive. A lot of wineries serve you wine. Emily educated us and sold us on the wine and the experience. Thank you! read more

Service was amazing. Never been to a winery where Both my mother-in-law and I loved all the tastings and we've been to Traverse City several years. We were apprehensive to include a red in our tasting as we are white wine lovers. The owner insisted she added this as an extra tasting on us. We will be back before we leave. It was that enjoyable! read more

Such a cute little place! Delicious wines, helpful suggestions by the owners, lovely views and decor. I love that it's just a simple mom and pop shop. The wines are pricier if you're looking to buy any. I'm used to wine being around 13/17 dollars a bottle, these were a bit more. But I think the quality is better so that's why they're asking more. Highly recommend! read more

We visited the Walloon Lake Winery while staying at a local AirBnB. The owner of the AirBnB left us vouchers for free samples so we decided to give it a try. The weather did not allow for much exploration outside but the tasting room was very nice. The staff were very friendly and engaging and the pours were quite generous for a free tasting. Overall we enjoyed both the wine and the staff and would gladly re-visit again. read more

Almost passed this one by. Glad we made the stop. One of the best wineries in the area. We had a great tasting with our group and made several purchases of wine. The building is very interesting and was made by owners. We have white, red, and sweet fruit wine drinkers in the group and we all found something we enjoyed. Nice and quite tasting on a March day in freezing temperatures. Lots of fun!! Will be back!! read more

Cute place, decent wines. We will come here bc it's close to our house. Love that it's a husband/wife run place. Nice people!!!

Beautiful building and setting, was busy the day we were there so service was a little slow but the wine was very good. We didn't buy any bottle but this was one of our last stops of the day and we were "wined" out. We'd definitely go back! read more

I visited the winery with a group of women for my sister's bachelorette party last weekend. Bonus: hula hooping in a vineyard. Can't go wrong ;) read more

Awesome wine..awesome atmosphere..The owners and their son Connor make you feel welcome. I would give them 10 stars if possible

Not much to look at in the wine tasting room, however the new building that is close to complete looks gorgeous AND no joke, of all the wineries we have been to in the area including much larger more aesthetic wineries, this one had THE BEST wines that we have had. There wasn't a single one that my husband and I didn't like and the service was great. The person serving the wine was also the person making the wine and he knew everything about them. We left happy with two bottles and we will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. Give it a shot , you won't be disappointed. read more

I love Walloon Lake Winery!! Great view and amazing wine! My family and I make a point to come here every year and we always stock up on wine when we're here. Marta is wonderful!
