I visited Dr. Gregory when I found out that my baby was breech at my 36 week ultrasound, and learned that certain chiropractic methods can help flip babies to the correct head-down position. I had never done any chiropractic work before but Dr. Gregory helped me feel comfortable during my appointments by explaining the adjustments he was planning to make and the impact they were intended to have. Most importantly, when I went in for my next OB appointment we discovered that baby had flipped on her own! This prevented the need for manual version and/or a C-section and was a major relief. He is excellent at what he does, does not follow a routine but instead customizes assessment and treatment for each individual needs. (I have been to a chiropractor who, without taking my full history nor even examining me told me I need an xray and a regular follow up for such and such number of months and will cost a certain amount...) Dr. Gregory is punctual (better yet, if I am a bit early and he is able, I get in earlier). He is friendly and professional. His office is very "zen." Dr. G is fantastic!! I was very nervous going in, and within the first few minutes he put me at ease. He takes the time to go over your health history (including past injuries, which is always a laundry list for me), makes observations about what might be going on, and develops a plan to correct the issues you may be having. I went in after tweaking my lower back, and I left with my whole spine feeling better and no issues with me back. He gave me tips on how to keep my spine healthy in between visits. "In between visits" because I would rather go for maintenance and preventative care, than pain and injuries. The follow up sessions are so easy, and fit into anyone's schedule. The office is very welcoming, clean, and extremely family friendly! Not just the waiting area, he is qualified to adjust EVERYONE in your family. From an infant to someone living in their golden years, Dr. G has them and their spines covered! The staff up front are very helpful and extremely nice as well. Solid chiropractic clinic. Dr. G is so prompt, speedy, professional, and honest. I've been going on and off for the last 1.5 years and am so grateful that I found this place. Sometimes I can make same day appointments, and if I'm early they'll usually see me early. I owe so much of my healing to this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. They also have LMP's working out of their space, which is very convenient! Parking is a bit tricky on the street and they do have a parking lot with a couple of spots available, but you have to be able to creative maneuver yourself in and out of them (the driveway gets a bit narrow). read more

I went to two different chiropractors to have my back worked on. The first place I went was up North, that chiropractor didn't even listen to what I was saying. He adjusted my lower back, but my entire back was hurting. The second chiropractor I went to was a specialist in the "NUCCA" approach. I personally didn't believe that that the NUCCA approach worked. I spent $400+ with xrays and "adjustments" with a NUCCA specialist and my work was in the same condition as it was four months ago. I thought all hope was lost, I thought I would have to go around living the rest of my life with a creaky old back. I want to be able to hold my kids someday, and go running with them and cycling with them. That dream now will be a reality because of Dr. Caravalho. He spent 30 minutes with me just getting to know WHO I was as a person, and we talked about his kids and his and his business partner's approach. I told him that my back was hurting and all the places that didn't feel right to me. He spent the rest of our time adjusting every part that I said was not feeling 100%. I am not sure why my experience here was so bad when every one else seems to be great but here goes... Scheduling was easy and the receptionist was so nice and pleasant but Dr. Michael Caravalho was not. Maybe he was having an off day but I felt like he was just going through the motions without really listening to me. It was as if he knew better than me what I am feeling and when I tried to tell him the problems in a different way it felt like he got upset and started talking down to me. It seem that my experience was the exception to the rule but it feels pretty bad to not have control over what is being done to you. I wasn't sure who to complain to in person because the whole thing made me feel so uncomfortable. I don't want this to seem malicious, I just had a horrible experience and needed to share it. Unlike some other reviewers, I have been getting chiropractic care for as long as I can remember. I found Dr. Gregory through my massage therapist's referral, and I have been so impressed with every visit! First, my health. I feel that the care that I am getting there is effective and I am no longer in pain. I used to have trouble sitting longer than an hour, but watched "The Hobbit" last weekend without any trouble which was a huge coup for me (and, I suppose, Dr. Gregory). They equip you with strengthening exercises so you can maintain optimum health rather than being in constant pain. Second, Dr. Gregory himself is the type of doctor that truly listens to his patients. Sometimes I will ask questions or come up with hypotheses on why something is happening and he listens and answers my questions without any shaming. I never feel embarrassed discussing my health with him. He also takes the time to fully check my whole body and not just simply the parts in crisis. I never feel rushed or as if I am a bother to him. I am so pleased with my care here, that I will come to him, even though he is not covered by my insurance. I highly recommend this practice. read more

I needed help, badly. You know when you can't bend down to put your pants on because you're so stiff and in so much pain you would rather just go about your day without pants? That was me. All because I lifted too much weight in the gym. I'd done it before, but I was fatigued and my form slipped, so did my back. Dr. Gregory is the first chiropractor I've seen. I've avoided chiropractors because I was scared to be a victim of the lifelong need of chiropractic work based on those tall tales of folks being sucked into the routine. I let Dr. G know how I was feeling and he outlined the plan, told me why my back was so jacked and followed through with all he'd promised. Dr. G has been my chiropractor for the past year and a half. A good chiropractor is something very important to have anyway, but the importance goes up significantly after a car crash. I was rear-ended on a Saturday and Dr. G took me for an adjustment on a Sunday to start treatment. (Did you know that if you're in a car accident, you should get into your Chiropractor within 24 hours to make your overall treatment more effective and take less time?!) Not only is Dr. G an amazing chiropractor, but he has an amazing team and a warm and cozy office. I always look forward to chatting with Nicole at the front desk. She is also REALLY good about getting me scheduled for the right times. Dr. Carvallo isn't my chiropractor, but he is always friendly and nice to talk to. The office is also very kid friendly - books and a train table, but not too many toys so that it is cluttered or overstimulating. I have been seeing Dr Gregory for the past 3 months, and I have nothing but good things to say about him. From the first visit, Dr Gregory has been great. He quickly checked my insurance to make sure I had chiropractic coverage, he has never made me wait, and was even able to help me after i had a serious accident at work. I really appreciate being treated as the authority on my body, and Dr. G really honors that. I told him that I need regular, but not frequent adjustments, which is what works for me, and he said, "You are the expert on your body. Sounds good." I also really value chiropractors who do not veer outside their scope of practice, such as offering nutritional or other advice. Unlike many in his field, Dr. G does not sell any products and will refer you to appropriate experts if you need services beyond adjustments. I started seeing Dr. Gregory for chronic sacral stuff that I thought was contributing to my knee pain, and the fact that he works with pregnant women. Here's what I love about him though: He explained very thoroughly what was happening, AND discovered a lodged bone in my foot that may be exacerbating all other symptoms. I was given exercises to do at home, was not pressured into a comprehensive 6month several thousand dollar treatment plan, and he could tell what was going on without relying X-rays. His gentle, easy going demeanor is very relaxing and the fact that he emphasizes families and can adjust joints makes him more versatile and makes me feel more at ease with him. After missing a month and being largely pregnant, I was I pretty chronic hip pain. I came back and in one adjustment am able to walk farther, move more, and feel pain free 2 days later. I cannot recommend Dr. Gregory enough; he is a fantastic chiropractor and great person to know! read more

I pulled my back out, as I do on an annual basis, and figured that I'd go see Dr. Gregory to see if anything could be done. My usual fix is lying on the floor until my back feels better, but it just wasn't doing me any good this time around. Not only did he give me an explanation as to why my back was misbehaving in layman's terms, he was very easy to chat with, unassuming, helpful and all around awesome. He even sent me off with a list of things to do and not to do plus exercises that would help with my recovery. Although my back took a bit longer than I was used to to get back to normal, I'm convinced that it was for the greater good of my spine and will prevent future injuries. Came in for my first ever chiropractic appointment about a year ago. I don't have any injuries or chronic pain - it was just something I wanted to try after turning 30. The appointment itself was fine; got adjusted and the doctor gave me some stretching exercises to do. Since I don't have any major pain the doctor said I didn't need to come in for regular appointments - which I appreciated that there was no suggestion for medical appointments that weren't needed. During my appointment I had mentioned to the doctor that my office only supplied standing desks and ergonomic chairs if you had a doctor's note. He offered to write me one, but I never sent the form. Fast forward to today, a year later. I finally decided I would like a standing desk and better chair so I emailed to see if it was possible to have the doctor submit the paperwork. I was expecting them to say I needed to come in for another appointment (since I only ever came in for that one appointment a year ago), but to my surprise the doctor filled out the form right away. Really appreciate that the doctor seems to care more about getting his patients a work setup that's better for their posture than making them come in for a possibly unnecessary appointment. read more

Love this place!!! I have been coming here on and off for at least 5 years. I have fibromyalgia and have been through multiple car accidents. Dr. Gregory has seen me through it all and helped me regain my functioning level after a couple car accidents left me seriously injured. He really cares about his patients and he's not just trying to make money off people in pain (like some chiros I have been to). Everyone at the office here is so kind and really great! Sara Akerlund, the massage therapist, is incredibly skilled and helped me a ton as well. She has extra training in working with neck injuries which was super helpful. My name is Matt. I am 27 years old and have been seeing Dr. Brian for about 3 months now. I had no back pain initially. I didn't think I needed the chiropractor because I would consider myself to be in a healthy status. I started using Dr. Brian because my insurance gave me 12 visits a year @ $25 copay and I figured why not give it a try. After getting adjusted by Dr. Brian a few times, he pointed out a few maintenance areas in my spine that has helped me be more conscientious of my posture when sitting and driving. He has also helped motivate me to strengthen my back muscles via working out a few times / week to maintain that posture. He has shown me proper dead lift form as well as various crunch and core workouts for stability. If you are athletic and in shape with no pain and think, "I don't need a chiropractor." Bryan Gregory is the best chiropractor I've been to, and I've been to more than a few. I didn't get the usual 'get you in and out fast after an hour of waiting in the waiting room' treatment that I've recieved from other places. When I went to Wallingford Family Chiropractic I actually spent more time being adjusted than waiting, now that's a first! I always mistrusted chiropractic and chiropractors, so it was a serious leap of faith to go to Dr. Gregory. But I am so so glad that I did. For years I have had coldness and numbness in my right arm, and regular tension headaches on my right side and in my neck. I started going several months ago and in that time have only had one headache instead of the weekly headaches I was having before. That's pretty awesome. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Gregory. I threw my back out doing something utterly stupid four days before I was set to leave on a week-long vacation in Mexico. He fit me in the same day and set up another appointment for the day right before my trip. In between appointments, I also managed to throw out my upper back and neck. After the second adjustment, I had full mobility in my neck again and my back pain had gone down substantially. But aside from the results, what I appreciated was the communication - he explained some things about my back I hadn't known and showed me exercises to do to try to prevent future back issues (I throw my back out rather consistently).
