Dr. Schwartz has been caring for my 70 year old mother this past year. She has some ongoing cardiac…read moreproblems; she had seen more than 3 other cardiac specialists and none was able to assist her with her heart palpitations and general cardiac pain. I was SO impressed that this Doctor actually took the time to 1) do some extensive testing, and 2) suggested my mother take some homeopathic vitamins to assist her. I'm extremely impressed that first of, the homepathic vitamins worked when NOTHING else did. Second, that a DOCTOR would recommend them. I abhor most of the institutionalized medical profession, as many simply prescribe painkillers and ignore preventative/alternative remedies. This was extraordinary to me both that he was thoughtful enough to evaluate all traditional routes and then offer her some non traditional solutions. And one that WORKED. She is so much better. I haven't even met this doctor but knowing how much pain my mother has been in the past few years, and what she had to say about him, I needed everyone to know that this guy is the real deal. Go Dr. Schwartz, you rock. She also said he has a great bedside manner, etc. All that good stuff. Yay!

I noticed a plaque stating the doors may be locked from 12:30 to 1:00, so I waited until 1:00 before returning. When it was still locked at 1:00, the time of my appointment, I knocked to alert staff that I was there. The staff member who opened the door was visibly irritated, pointed to the plaque, and asked if I "had a question" instead of welcoming me or simply saying hello. Her tone and attitude were rude and unprofessional from the start. Once I was inside, another staff member came around the corner and, instead of showing professionalism or trying to diffuse the situation, made a sarcastic comment about the plaque and their lunch hours as she walked away, clearly meant to be rude. If the office is closed until 1:00, then maybe appointments should not be scheduled at that time. It is customary for patients to arrive a few minutes early to check in. Had the first staff member simply opened the door, greeted me, and said "let's get you checked in," the entire situation could have been avoided. Instead, she acted as though I had inconvenienced her by knocking. The echocardiogram technician was not rude, but she was indifferent and impersonal. She seemed rushed and less thorough than other technicians I have experienced. What truly concerned me was that after telling me I would need to undress and put on a gown, she did not leave the room. When she realized I wasn't changing, she asked if I wanted her to leave, but in a way that made it seem unnecessary or inconvenient for her to do so. That should never even be a question. Patient privacy should always be assumed and respected. In my 50 years, I have never had a nurse, doctor, or technician ask that in any medical setting. They always leave the room to provide privacy. It was unprofessional and inappropriate. The room itself also appeared unclean, with a trash can overflowing with used gowns, dirt on the floor, and dirty chairs, which made the environment feel unsanitary. It's a shame when poor staff behavior reflects so poorly on a practice. There are too many options out there to tolerate this level of unprofessionalism.

Quality of care I have experienced for over 10 years is the reason I am thriving today. Drs…read more Chhabra and Choudhry are the reasons I fly back to Dallas since having moved back to Calif. I truly believe the confidence as well as the encouragement they have given me is the reason I haven't had anymore cardiac events. But the ONE only issue I have is the very long wait time to speak to a life person in the office so making an appointment can be a challenge. Hoping they can fix this problem. Other than that I can highly recommend this practice!

Non-existent communication, I dealt with multiple calls saying they received my referral, but when I tried repeatedly to make an appointment they said they didn't have my referral! It was bordering on comical, but the complete lack of accountability and knowledge made it more like a humiliation ritual. After more than a week of this, I was finally able to make an appointment and have the procedure done. Quality of care was nothing special, Dr. Suba seemed to be in a rush to get the appointment over with, not much of a bedside manner and a little condescending. I was told I needed to return for another procedure which I was able to schedule at the time, so that was a small victory. When I went back, the woman who performed the more advanced procedure was warm, comforting and professional. Unfortunately I forgot her name, but I feel like she's the only bright spot in that place! So, I was also told they wanted to place a heart monitor on me between my surgeries but when I attempted to make an appointment for that, I was faced with the same circus I experienced prior when trying to speak with an actual person and get something scheduled. Fast forward to today, I've completed both my surgeries and never had a monitor implemented. I will never return to that place, if I need to see another cardiologist I will seek out an independent doctor instead of going through a chain type place like this one. It appears that a lot of the doctors they employ are transplants from outside of the country, and have a different view on what quality of care looks like.

When I walked in the door the one front desk assistant was helping another patient. I mean she was thorough with the instructions information, and very detailed. I was waiting to sign in this took maybe about 10 minutes or so. The other female was at the checkout counter and she eventually was able to come up to the front and assist her coworker. Now there was two or three more patients looking to sign in at this point. I walked up to give the smiling faced woman my name. She then checked me in, gave me a few forms to sign and I went and sat down. I was so glad that this office didn't require me to pay before services were rendered. I've noticed that's a lot of facilities even hospitals out here in Texas that want your copays and deductibles before treating you. That's kinda distasteful cause if the doctor has an unforeseen emergency then now you have to reschedule your appointment and request your funds back. Cause they'll prefer to hold on to it and apply it as a credit. Nevertheless I didn't have that problem at Kami Banks' office. I waited in the lobby or office waiting room for about 10 more minutes then I was called to come back in the back room. Everyone was friendly, speaking to each other, and actually enjoying what they were doing. It was great to see. Especially as a new patient going to visit a Cardiologist. I mean I've worked for them, never have I been a patient lol. After the nurse took down all my pertinent information Doctor Kami Banks arrived a few minutes after. We conversed she has a gentle voice and pleasant demeanor. Her bedside manner was very calm. I didn't have a lot of anxiety and she made me feel comfortable. I think I know What was wrong with my EKG from my PCP's visit. After my appointment I found out I tested positive again for The Covid!!! This may've caused my arrhythmia or irregular heartbeats. I had to cancel my Holter monitor and Echo test until I'm feeling better. Overall my appointment was great and once I'm feeling % I'll remake my appointments just so I can definitively say my heart's beating regularly. Thanks for a wonderful first appointment.
